북한산 정릉천과 곡릉천에 서식하는 수서곤충의 계절적 군집구조와 생물학적 수질평가 (Seasonal Community Structure of Aquatic Insects and Biological Assessment of Water Quality at the Jungneung and Gokneung Streams in the Mountain Bukhan)

  • The present study was accomplished from October, 1992 to June, 1993 in order to examine the seasonal community structure of aquatic insects and the biological estimation of water quality by the aquatic insects of the Jungneung and Gokneung streams in the Mt. Bukhan. The obtained results are as follows: 1. The total taxa of aquatic insects appeared as 77 species, 45 genera, 28 families in 7 orders. 2. Seasonal occurrence species numbers showed the highest in the autumn of the Jungneung stream (19 species) and in the spring of the Gokneung stream (41 species). Seasonal occurrence individual numbers showed the highest in the summer of the Jungneung and Gokneung streams (5,901, 3,180 individuals) and the lowest in the autumn of Jungneung stream (612 individuals) and in the winter of the Gokneung stream (1,764 individuals). 3. Annual dominance indices showed 0.52 (stJ1)~1.00 (st.J3) range in the Jungneung stream, and 0.47 (st. G1)~0.76 (G2) range in the Gokneung stream. 4. Seasonal species diversity indices showed 0.00 (st J3, whole seasons)~3.12 (st.J1, Spring) range in the Jungneung stream and 0.69 (st. G2, summer) ~3.10 (st. G4, spring) in the Gokneung stream. 5. Biological saprobic system based on species diversity indices of aquatic insects appeared as oligosaprobic area: site J3, $\alpha$-mesosaprobic area: site J2, G2, G3 and $\beta$-mesosaprobic area: site J1, G1, G4.

수치해석을 이용한 윤중제 흐름특성해석 적용성 (Applying the Polder Levee of the Stream Specific by Using Hydordynamic Model)

  • When the existing polder levee was constructed, the river's numerical analysis decided the bank raise by applying the planned flood stage or by using the result from the sectional 1st dimensional numerical analysis. But, it was presented that there is a limitation in the 1st dimensional value analysis when the structure like the polder levee obstructs the special shaped running water flow. Therefore, in order to verify the numerical value applicability when the polder levee is constructed, this report compared each other through the 1st and 2nd dimensional numerical analysis and the mathematical principle model laboratory. In case of the polder levee construction through the numerical analysis and the mathematical principle model laboratory, it was decided that there was no big problem in the 1st dimensional numerical analysis applied design, considering the uncertainty of mathematical principle analysis though the first dimensional numerical analysis was calculated a little bigger than the second. But, after construction, it was found that the water level deviation of the 1st, 2nd occurred biggest at the place where the flow was divided into two. Also, as a result of comparing the 1st, 2nd dimensional numerical analysis with the mathematical principle model laboratory, it was confirmed that the 1st numerical analysis applied design decreased the modal safety largely, as the left side water level was calculated smaller more than 0.5m in case of the 1st dimensional numerical analysis.

홍제천 정비를 위한 하천유지유량 확보 및 수질개선 방안 연구 (Study on the Management of Minimum Low Flow and Water Quality of Hongjechun)

  • In this study, field surveys were performed for 12 stations in main stream of Hongjechun and 3 stations in 2 tributaries, respectively, in order to find out dried reaches of the stream, and to examine the water quality of the stream, and to suggest methods to improve the stream concerned into eco-stream. In the results of water quality in stream, however distinct difference for seasonal variation of the water quality was not found, the water quality of winter was relatively better than that of other seasons. Annual mean concentration of BOD was 6.5mg/L in the upper reach, 11.8mg/L in the middle reach, 15.3mg/L in the lower reach of main stream, and total mean was 12.5mg/L, while the BOD concentration was 3.6mg/L in the upper reach, and was 9.6mg/L in the low reach of Gukichun, the tributary. Based on flow examination, the level of water depth was so low and the flow can not be traveled downstream in the reach between ST-9 and ST-10 for low water season, whereas it was observed that the flow was traveling except the dry season even the water level was lower than that of adjacent stations.

금강 수계 지천의 어류군집 구조 및 멸종위기종 미호종개 Cobitis choii와 흰수마자 Gobiobotia naktongensis의 서식현황 (Community Structure of Fish and Inhabiting Status of Endangered Species, Cobitis choii and Gobiobotia naktongensis in the Ji Stream, a Tributary of the Geum River Drainage System of Korea)

  • 본 연구는 금강 지류인 충남 청양군 지천의 어류군집 및 멸종위기종 미호종개와 흰수마자의 서식현황을 파악하기 위하여 2011년 조사를 실시하였다. 지천 상류(St. 1~St. 4)는 하천형이 Aa-Bb형 또는 Bb형이고 하상구조는 자갈과 돌의 비율이 높았으며 10~23종의 어류가 서식하였고, 중류(St. 5~St. 7)는 하천형이 Bb형이고 하상구조는 돌과 큰돌의 비율이 높았으며 16~23종의 어류가 서식하였으며, 하류(St. 8~St. 10)는 하천형이 Bb-Bc형이고 하상구조는 모래의 비율이 높았으며 20~29종의 어류가 서식하였다. 전체 출현한 어종은 모두 9과 44종이었고, 우점종은 피라미 Zacco platypus (37.2%), 아우점종은 돌고기 Pungtungia herzi (5.8%)와 모래무지 Pseudogobio esocinus (5.5%)였으며, 그 다음으로 납자루 Acheilognathus lanceolatus (5.3%)와 참갈겨니 Z. koreanus (5.2%), 참마자 Hemibarbus longirostris (4.9%), 긴몰개 Squalidus gracilis majimae (3.5%) 등의 순으로 우세하게 출현하였다. 출현종 중 고유종은 16종(36.4%)으로 비교적 높게 나타났고, 멸종위기종은 미호종개와 흰수마자 2종이, 외래어종은 배스 Micropterus salmoides 1종이 출현하였다. 지점들 간의 군집유사도를 분석한 결과 상류(St. 1~St. 4)와 중류(St. 5~St. 7), 하류(St. 8~St. 10)로 나누어지고, 우점도는 하류로 갈수록 대체로 낮아지는 반면, 다양도와 균등도, 종풍부도 하류로 갈수록 대체로 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 하류에서 출현한 멸종위기종 미호종개와 흰수마자의 서식현황을 정밀조사한 결과, 두 종 모두 하상이 모래인 곳에 집단을 형성하여 서식하고 있어 주목되었다.

Preference of Physical Microhabitat on the $1^{st}$-class Endangered Species, Gobiobotia naktongensis inhabiting the Gam Stream, Tributary of the Nakdong River

  • The study was conducted in 2007~2008 in order to understand preference of physical microhabitat on the $1^{st}$-class endangered species, Gobiobotia naktongensis inhabiting the Gam Stream, tributary of Nakdong River. The total number of fish caught from the study sites was 3,671 representing 7 families 24 species. There were 8 Korean endemic species including Odontobutis platycephala, and 2 introduced species (Carassius cuvieri, Micropterus salmoides) were found. According to investigation and analysis of physical microhabitat on Gobiobotia naktongensis caught in the Gam Stream, a total of 57 individuals were found at shallow depth (0.14~0.46 m) and run (0.239~0.585m $sec^{-1}$). As a result of sieve analysis, stream beds consisted of about 1% gravel and 99% sand (83.4% coarse sand, 15.6% find sand). Therefore, Gobiobotia naktongensis seemed to inhabit shallow-run with coarse sand bed than deep-pool microhabitat. The findings indicate preference of physical microhabitat on Gobiobotia naktongensis, and it is important to enhance efficiency of fish conservation and ecological restoration with understanding species-specific characteristics in microhabitat including protected species.

이목정 소유역의 하천차수를 고려한 프랙탈 차원의 산정 (Estimation of Fractal Dimension According to Stream Order in the leemokjung Subbasin)

  • 기존의 연구자들은 하천길이의 프랙탈 차원은 유역내 전체 하천에 대해 균일하며 그 수치도 1.09~1.13로 상당히 크게 보았다. 그렇지만 국제수문개발계획의 대표유역중 하나인 평창강수계내 이목정 소유역을 대상으로 1/50,000, 1/25,000, 1/5,000의 3개 축척 지형도를 이용하여 프랙탈 차원을 산정한 결과 하천차수별로 서로 다른 프랙탈 차원을 갖는 것을 발견하였고, 또한 전체 하천으로 보아도 기존 연구자들이 제안한 수치보다 작은 수치를 보였다. 이목적 소유역내 하천의 프랙탈 차원을 산정한 결과에 의하면 기존의 국내외의 연구가 전체 하천을 균일한 프랙탈 차원을 갖는 것으로 보는 것과 달리 1차, 2차 하천은 1.033, 이보다 하천차주가 높은 3차, 4차 하천을 1.014의 값을 보이는 등 하천차수별로 프랙탈 차원이 다르게 산정되었다. 또한 전체적인 하천길이에 대한 프랙탈 차원도 1.027로서 국내외에서 제시된 기존의 하천길이에 대한 프랙탈 차원인 1.09~1.13 사이의 수치는 실제보다 너무 과대평가된 것으로 추정된다.

금강 지류 백곡천의 어류군집 및 천연기념물 미호종개 Cobitis choii의 서식양상 (Community Structure of Fish and Inhabiting Status of Natural Monument Cobitis choii in the Baekgok Stream, a Tributary of the Geum River Drainage Systrem of Korea)

  • 금강 지류인 충북 진천군 백곡천의 어류군집 및 멸종위기종 미호종개의 서식양상을 밝히기 위하여 2012년 조사를 실시하였다. 상류 (St. 1~3)는 하천형이 계곡형인 Aa 또는 Aa-Bb형이고 하상은 주로 큰돌과 돌로 이루어져 있었으며 10~14종의 어류가 서식하고 있었고, 중류 (St. 4~5)는 중류형인 Bb형 또는 Bb-Bc형으로 하상은 돌과 큰돌, 자갈로 이루어져 있었으며 15~21종의 어류가 서식하고 있었다. St. 6은 백곡저수지로 하상은 대부분 펄이었고 9종이 서식하고 있었으며, St. 7은 백곡저수지 유출지점으로 하천형이 Aa-Bb형이고 하상은 주로 큰돌과 돌로 이루어져 있었으며 7종이 채집되었다. 하류(St. 8~9)는 중류형인 Bb형으로 하상은 주로 돌과 모래로 이루어져 있었으며 20~23종의 어류가 서식하고 있었다. 백곡천에 출현한 종수는 모두 10과 35종이었으며, 우점종은 피라미(34.7%)였고, 아우점종은 돌고기(9.4%)와 돌마자(9.0%)였으며, 그 다음으로 민물검정망둑(8.2%), 모래무지(5.9%), 붕어(4.6%), 참몰개(3.7%), 밀어(3.0%) 순으로 우세하게 출현하였다. 출현종 중 고유종은 10종 (28.6%)이었으며, 외래어종은 떡붕어와 배스 2종이었다. 천연기념물이며 멸종위기종인 미호종개는 St. 5의 유속이 느리고 수심 0.3~1.0 m이며 하상이 모래인 곳에 주로 서식하고 있었다. 이들의 생태적 특징을 조사한 결과 서식개체수는 $7,838{\pm}6,290$개체가, 연령은 당년생 전장 38~45 mm, 1년생 46~60 mm, 2년생 61~80 mm, 3년생 이상은 81~93 mm로 추정되었고, 비만도지수 (${\times}10^5$)는 암컷 0.36~0.39, 수컷 0.35~0.38이었으며, 기생충의 일종인 이생충(digenea)이 13.5%가 감염되어 있었다. 그 밖에 백곡천 미호종개의 건강성과 위협요인, 보전에 대해 논의하였다.

온천천 하류 적조 원인생물의 동정 및 발생 특성 (Identification of Red Tide-causing Organism and Characteristics of Red Tide Occurrence in the Oncheon Down Stream, Busan)

  • This study was performed in order to identify the red tide-causing organism and to understand the characteristics of the water quality during the winter of 2015 and 2016 in the Oncheon stream, a tidal river in Busan, where red tide often occurs in the wintertime. Two sites were selected on the stream and the surface water was sampled a total of 28 times during the experimental period. Twelve water quality characteristics, including water temperature, pH, DO, COD, total-N (T-N), total-P (T-P), and salinity were analyzed in order to test water quality. The cell numbers of cryptomonads were counted directly by microscopic observation. The nucleotide sequences of the partial 28S rRNA gene and psbA gene from metagenomic DNA, derived from each sampling site, were analyzed. According to the results, the alga most responsible for the bloom was identified as Teleaulax OC1 sp., which belongs to the cryptomonads. Three items of chl-a, pH, and DO were positively correlated with the cell numbers of the cryptomonads counted at the upper stream of the tidal area (St 1) while eight items of chl-a, TOC, BOD, total-N, COD, SS, pH, and DO were positively correlated with the cells located at the junction between the stream and Su-young river (St 2) in the order.

하천수정화 여과습지에서 성장하는 갈대의 영양염류 흡수량 (Nutrient Uptake by Reeds Growing in Subsurface-flow Wetland Constructed to Purify Stream Water)

  • The growth and biomass of reeds(Phragmites australis) growing in a subsurface treatment wetland system were investigated from April 2003 to October 2003. Nitrogen(N) and phosphorous(P) concentrations in above-ground(AG) and below-ground(BG) tissues of reeds were examined and the removal rate of N and P by reeds were analyzed. The system, 29 m in length, 9 m in width and 0.65 m in depth, was constructed in June 2001 on a floodplain in the down reach of the Kwangju Stream in Korea in order to purify polluted water of the stream. A bottom layer of 45 cm in depth was filled with crushed granites(15~30 mm in diameter) and a middle layer of 10 cm in depth was filled with pea pebbles(10 mm in diameter). An upper layer of 5 cm contained course sand. Reeds were transplanted on the surface of the system, which were dug out of natural wetlands, and their shoots were trimmed 40 cm in height. The height and density of the shoots averaged 237.7 cm and 244.0 shoot/$m^2$, respectively, when the reeds grew fully. The maximum biomass of AG and BG tissues were 1,964 and 1,577 g/$m^2$, respectively, and the AG : BG ratio of biomass was 1.26. Mean AG and BG dry weights were recorded as 1,355 and 748 g/$m^2$, respectively. The AG and BG tissue concentrations of N averaged 12.37 and 10.01 mg/g, respectively, and those of P 2.37 and 2.03 mg/g, respectively. Inflow to the system averaged 40 $m^3$/day. The concentrations of total nitrogen(T-N) in influent and effluent were 8.4 mg/L and 3.2 mg/L, respectively, and those of total phosphorous(T-P) were 0.73 and 0.38 mg/L, respectively. The total removal of T-N and T-P by the system during the investigation period averaged 140.2 and 9.7 g/$m^2$, respectively, and the total uptake of N and P by the reeds were calculated as 24.39 and 4.73 g/$m^2$, respectively. Average removals of about 17% of N and about 49% of P by reeds were recorded. The N and P concentrations in AG tissues were significantly different among the three zones of the system:near to inflow(St1), in the middle of system(St2), and near to outflow(St3). The N and P concentrations in BG tissues were also significantly different among St1, St2 and St3. N and P concentrations in AG and BG tissues of reeds growing in St1 were higher than those in St2 and St3. The height and density of shoots of reeds in St1 were larger than those in St2 and St3. Significant amounts of N and P in the influent were taken up by reeds in St1.

도시화 정도에 따른 포천천과 영평천의 돌 부착규조 군집 변화 (Changes of Epilithic Diatom Communities according to Urbanization Influence in the Pocheon and Youngpyeong Streams)

  • 도시화는 하천의 수리, 수질 및 수로의 형태를 변화시키고, 수생태계의 조성을 변화시키고 있다. 최근 포천천과 영평천 주변에 많은 인구와 소규모의 공장 등이 유입되어 도시화됨으로써 오, 폐수의 방류량이 증가하였다. 본 연구는 도시화의 정도에 따라 하천 생태계를 구성하고 있는 돌 부착규조 군집의 조성이 다른 것에 기초로 하여 돌 부착규조 군집의 조성, 우점종 및 생태군 별 종 조성과 생물지수(DAIpo)에 의한 수 환경을 평가하였다. 두 하천의 도시화 지수는 포천천의 정점 P-3와 P-5에서 각각 85와 91로 매우 높은 반면에 영평천 주변의 도시화지수는 약 20 이하였다. 본 조사에서 돌 부착규조는 총 141종류로써 2목, 8과, 30속, 128종, 12변종, 1미동정종으로 구성되었다. 출현 종수는 포천천에서$11{\sim}36$종류의 범위였고, 영평천에서 $14{\sim}45$종류의 범위였다. 우점종은 포천천에서 Navicular saprophila, N. subminuscula, Nitzschia palea, Gomphonema pseudoaugur 등이었으며, 영평천에서 Achnanthes alteragracillima, A. convergens, A. minutissima, N. minima, N. fonticola, N. frustulum와 Cymbella minuta var. silesiaca 등으로써 두 하천의 도시화 정도에 따라 뚜렷한 차이를 나타내었다. 도시화 지수와 EC, BOC, COD, TN, TP. 및 DAIpo 등은 높은 상관관계 $(r^2>0.8)$를 나타내었다. 도시화에 따라 유기오염의 정도가 매우 다르며, 이에 따라 돌 부착 규조의 생태군이 포천천에서는 호오탁성종의 종수 및 상대빈도가 매우 높은 반면 영평천에서는 호청수종의 종수 및 상대빈도가 높았다. 생물지수(DAIpo)에 의한 두 하천의 수질은 포천천에서 조사 동안 강부수성(P-3, 4, 5)을 나타내었고, 영평천에서는 빈부수성(Y-1)에서 강부수성(Y-4)까지 다양하게 나타났다.
