A Fast 64$\times$64-bit Multiplier for Crypto-Processor (암호 프로세서용 고속 64$\times$64 곱셈기)

  • 피승수를 승수로 곱하는 곱셈연산은 승수에 대한 많은 부분곱을 더하기 때문에 본질적으로 느린 연산이다. 특히, 큰 수를 사용하는 암호 프로세서에서는 매우 빠른 곱셈기가 요구된다. 현재까지 느린 연산의 개선책으로 radix 4, radix 8, 또는 radix 16의 변형 부스 알고리즘을 사용하여 부분곱의 수를 줄이려는 연구와 더불어 Wallace tree나 병렬 카운터를 사용하여 부분곱의 합을 빠르게 연산하는 방법이 연구되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 암호 프로세서용 64$\times$64 비트 곱셈기를 구현하는데 있어서, 고속의 곱셈을 위하여 고속의 병렬 카운터를 제안하였으며, radix 4의 변형 부스 알고리즘을 이용하여 부분합을 만들고 부분합의 덧셈은 제안한 카운터를 사용하였다. 64$\times$64 비트 곱셈기를 구현함에 있어서 본 논문에서 제안된 카운터를 이용하는 것이 속도 면에서 Wallace scheme또는 Dadda scheme을 적용하여 구현하는 것 보다 31% 정도, Mehta의 카운터를 적용하여 구현하는 것 보다 21% 정도 개선되었다.

  • This is a experimental result which is reported with using 16-Bit microprocessor H8 series of Renesas company, organizing digital control which is practicable PWM embodiment, and applying switched-mode power supply. The basic topology consists of the active clamp forward DC-DC converter which is widely used for the highly efficient power supply these days. In an experiment, it incites the result to lay emphasis on the highly efficient operation of converter, and performance of digital control which is practicable PWM embodiment. And it is debated on performance of processor and condition for improving performance of part.

  • A high speed control system for a telerobot using DSP is developed. The system is designed to resolve computational burden in advanced algorithms. The design is assumed to h ave no specific algorithm and robot configuration. The system is composed of a teaching box, a DSP board, a set of servo drivers and 16 bit microcomputer system. The teaching box is designed as a man-machine interface, which has two joysticks with three degrees of freedom for velocity generation in Cartesian space. The DSP board, i.e. DSP56000ADS based on a 10.25MIPS digital signal processor, DSP56001, computes the inverse Jacobian matrix which transforms Cartesian velocity into joint velocity. A resolved motion rate control algorithm for a 5 degrees of freedom manipulator was implemented. About 100 Hz sampling rate was achieved in this system.

  • This paper describes a new phase-difference detection method and the associate process algorithm for calculating the mean value of phase difference detected and OVCXO control value and for monitoring and controlling the DP-PLL operation status to be used in the design of a high-frequency DP-PLL. Through the experiments of DP-PLL implemented with 16-bit processor, memories, pheriperals and OVCXO to eraluate the suggested method and algorithm, it is shown that a remarkable improvement in PLL function such as phase detection, and reference clock tracing capability, jitter absorbability and frequency stability compared with other existing DP-PLL synchronization device is achieved.

  • In the paper, QCELP (qualcomm code excited linear predictive), CDMA (code division multiple access)'s vocoder algorithm, was analyzed. And then, a ptich parameter seaarch architecture for 16-bit programmable DSP(digital signal processor) for QCELP was designed. Because we speed up the parameter search through high speed DSP using two MACs, we can satisfy speech codec specifiction for the digital celluar. Also, we implemented in FIFO(first-in first-out) memory using register file to increase the access time of data. This DSP was designed using COMPASS, ASIC design tool, by top-down design methodology. Therefore, it is possible to cope with rapid change at mobile communication market.

  • 제안하고 있는 CSD17C00 chip은 C&S technology에서 개발한 것으로, 음성 신호 처리를 위해 범용으로 구현되었으며, 16 bit 40 MIPS DSP group OAK DSP Core를 포함, 이에 Miscellaneous Logic, Serial Port, Host Interface, Timer, Compander 의 5가지 Peripherals 과 범용 I/O Ports 로 설계되었다. 1차적으로 CSD17C00 Chip 의 성능을 점검하였다. 그 결과, 응용 프로그램은 28MIPS의 계산속도를 갖으며, 프로그램 ROM 크기는 8.85KWords 이고, 10KWords 의 데이터 ROM 과 4KWords 데이터 RAM을 필요로 한다. CSD17C00 CHIP은 멀티미디어 통신용 VOCODER 개발을 위한 범용성을 갖추고 있으며, VOCODER 용 S/W 개발 환경 및 H/W 구조가 여타 범용 DSP에 비해편의성고 K합리성을 제공하도록 설계되어 있다. 따라서, 이를 이용한다면, 멀티 미디어 통신용 VOCODER, INTERNET PHONE CO-PROCESSOR, DIGITAL RECODER, MPEG AUDIO ENCODER & DECODER 등 다양한 제품으로의 응용이 가능할 것으로 전망된다.

  • This paper describes the characteristic feather of propulsion system adopting mass production. The train formation is composed of 4 cars by 2 Motor cars and 2 Train cars. Acceleration rate must be 3.0 km/h/s or more when the car starts up to 35km/h by 16ton of passenger load. The system information supervision is easy because the system is controlled to perfect digital circuits, all information of an action is stored in a memory and is managed. The control system is composed of a fully digital circuit and a high level software such as C language. The DSP TMS320C31 is used for main processor and has the capability of 50MHz, 32bit floating point operation and has a C compiler. Therefore, the implementation of control algorithm and the change of function are easy. VVVF inverter using IGBT conducted variable combined test, environment test using chamber, interface test and field test etc.

  • In this paper, field oriented control is applied to a 16 bit micro-processor Mc68000 controlled CSI fed induction motor servo drive. The control of induction motor using the principle of its is able to have the transient performance nearly to that of DC motors in the position control. The software and hardware for the Mc68000 is developed. The position control scheme consists of the field oriented control loop and te speed reference pattern generator. The digital computer simlation and experimental results are provided, close agreement between them is obtained.

  • A design of digital position control system with DC Motor is presented. The digital position control system is constructed by power circuits, interface circuits and control circuits using single chip microprocessor (8096). All control functions are implemented on the 16 bit micro-processor requiring only on incremental encoder for speed and position sensing. The control schemes are used by the proportional control for some modifications and braking algorithms. This digital position system offered to the fast response, good steady-state accuracy, flexibility and reliability, Hardware, software features and experimental results of this system are described.

  • This paper introduces an implementation of high performance voltage source inverter system based on 16bit micro-processor and DSP for the application to modem rolling stock traction system. In contrast with other industry oriented inverter system, this system requires precise control action complying with various load condition and high overload capability. An asynchronous PWM generation and 3' pulse mode technology are adopted in order to improve compliant starting torque characteristics at starting phase and soft backward-forward starting motion.
