Expanded polytertrafluoroethylene (expanded PTFE) graft fistulas are widely used as secondary vascu- lar access for patients receiving long-term hemodialysis treatment. We implanted 48 grafts in )5 patients during the period from August 1990 to August 1995. Forty-three grafts in 32 patients were followed for 1 to 46 months. We performed forearm straight grafts in 36 grafts and upperarm straight grafts in 7 grafts. We experienced 3 operative failures, 22 early and late complications(15 graft thrombosis). Cumulative patency for all grafts at 12 months was 63%, at 24 months 32%, at 36 months 32% Forearm graft survival at 12 months was 55%, at 24 months 30%, at )6 months 30%. Upperarm graft survival at 12 months was 8)oyo and 24 months 41%. After reviewing our experience, we think that expanded-PTFE grart as secondary vascular access still have many complications and low survival than autogenous a teriovenous fistula. And so utilization of the expanded PTFE fistula requires better techniques, close observation and maintenance to keep it functional.

Seasonal occurrence of persimmon bark borer moth, Euzophera batangensis, and attractiveness of its sex pheromone gland components and trap types were studied at sweet (non-astringent) persimmon orchards of two southern provinces of Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeollanam-do, Korea, from 2014 to 2016. E. batangensis occurred three times a year. Occurrences of the moths of the over-wintered, the $1^{st}$ and the $2^{nd}$ generations were early April to late May, early June to late July, and early August to mid October, respectively. The (Z9,E12)-tetradeca-9,12-dien-1-ol (Z9,E12-14OH) was more attractive than (Z)-tetradec-9-en-1-ol (Z9-14OH). The Z9,E12-14OH was equally attractive to the 9:1 binary mixture of Z9,E12-14OH and Z9-14OH to the male moths. The three trap types of funnel, white and red delta traps had no effect on the attractiveness of the components.

Distribution of population densities of heterotrophic bacteria, E. coli, and Salmonella and Shigella in seawater and sediments at 40 stations near Samcheonpo Bay were measured for 3 times from July to December, 2003. Population densities of heterotrophic bacteria in seawater during survey periods were in the range of $1.7{\pm}0.9{\times}10^3{\sim}2.4{\pm}0.9{\times}10^5$ CFU $mL^{-1}$ and the highest density was shown at St. 34 during the sampling period of September, 2003. Population densities of heterotrophic bacteria were shown higher values on September than those of July and December at all sampling stations. Population densities of anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria in sediments during survey periods were in the range of $2.2{\pm}0.2{\times}10^3{\sim}2.0{\pm}0.2{\times}10^5$ CFU $mL^{-1}$ and their population densities at sampling stations far from Samcheonpo Bay measured lower values than those near Samcheonpo Bay. Population densities of anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria in the sediments were not affected by physico-chemical factors of upper water environment. E. coli were detected only at 8 stations in seawater and 4 stations in the sediments among 40 sampling stations on July and were not detected during September and December. Salmonella and Shigella were detected only a few stations on July and September during sampling periods.

국가 발주 공사는 3월 1일, 지방자치단체 발주 공사는 3월 9일 예정가격을 작성하는 사업부터 표준시장단가 제도가 적용된다. 대한설비건설협회(회장 이상일)를 비롯한 건설관련 유관단체에서는 실적공사비의 불합리한 공사비 산정 기준 및 운영관행에 대해 폐지 건의를 지속적으로 해왔다. 정부는 이같은 건의를 받아들여 지난해 12월 17일 실적공사비 제도개선을 위한 공청회를 개최하고 개선안을 발표했으며, 이번 계약예규 개정을 통해 개선됐다. 이에 따라 실적공사비 제도를 대체하는 새로운 공공공사비 산정 방식인 표준시장단가 제도가 지난 3월 1일부터 시행에 들어감에 따라 기획재정부는 국가계약예규를, 행정자치부는 지방계약예규를 개정해 각각 지난 3월 1일과 3월 5일 공포하고 시행에 들어갔다. 각 개정 계약예규는 실적공사비의 명칭이 표준시장단가로 변경됨에 따라 용어를 수정했고, 실적공사비 제도 적용배제 범위를 신설했다. 또한 적용배제 공사범위는 300억원 미만 공사 중 100억원 미만 공사는 실적공사비(표준시장단가) 적용을 폐지하고, 100억원 이상부터 300억원 미만 공사는 2016년 12월 31일까지 한시적으로 적용하지 않는다. 정부는 100억원~300억원 공사에 대한 '실적공사비 적용 배제제도' 연장 여부를 2016년 하반기에 실적공사비 현실화 수준 등을 평가하여 재검토할 예정이다. 한편, 표준시장단가 제도는 공사비를 산정할 때 현행 계약단가 외에도 시공단가와 입찰단가 등 다양한 시장 거래가격을 반영하는 제도로, 지난 1월 22일 국가정책조정회의를 거쳐 확정된 '공공건설 공사비 적정성 제고방안' 후속조치의 일환으로 공공공사비 예정가격 산출방식의 하나인 실적공사비제도를 개선한 것이다.

우리나라는 2012년에 4대강 사업을 통하여 수자원확보를 통한 가뭄대응전략으로 16개의 대형보가 건설되었고 영산강에는 승촌보와 죽산보 2개의 보가 건설되었다. 보의 건설로 흐름은 급격히 감소하여 정체구역의 수역이 확장되면서 여름에서 초가을까지 녹조현상은 매년 지속적으로 발생하고 있으며, 최근 국민들은 안전한 농산물의 안정적인 생산에 요구가 점증함에 따라 농업용수질 오염문제가 범국가적 문제로 대두되고 있고, 그 중요도 및 심각성이 점차 커져가고 있다(한강유역환경청, 2007). 많은 량의 물을 농업용수로 사용하고 있는 영산강의 녹조현상 및 수질개선이 절실하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영산강의 승촌보와 죽산보의 건설과 수질오염총량관리제의 시행에 따른 부영양화특성의 변화를 파악하기 위하여 환경부, 국립환경과학원(2006)에서 개발한 한국형 부영양화지수(TSIko) 평가법을 이용하여 영산강유역의 12개 주요지점에 대하여 수집한 자료를 봄(3월~5월), 여름(6월~8월), 가을(9월~11월), 겨울(12월~2월)로 분리하고, 다시 4대강 사업의 영향을 검토하기 위하여 2013년을 전후하여 분리하였으며, 계절별 수질인자 COD, T-P, Chl-a 값을 이용하여 계절별 $TSI_{Ko}$를 산정하여 영양상태를 4개의 등급으로 구분하여 부영양화특성을 파악하였다.

대한민국을 넘어 세계를 긴장시켰던 연평도 포격사건의 후유증이 채 가시지 않은 지난해 12월, 한국건강관리협회에 특별 임무가 내려졌다. 다름 아닌 연평도 주민들의 건강상태를 우리 협회가 꼼꼼하게 점검하는 것. 전쟁을 방불케 하는 현장에서 상처받았을 그들의 몸과 마음을 어루만지고자 자발적으로 꾸려진 자원봉사단이 12월 4일, 인천의 한 찜질방을 찾았다.

(주)중앙문화인쇄(대표이사 유영호)가 지난해 10월 남산골 한옥마을에서 열린 제7회 서울인쇄문화대상에서 대국전 5색으로 인쇄한 '부처님의 손, 시인(詩人)이 되다'로 대상을 수상했다. 이 책은 순수 먹 잉크만을 사용해 인쇄한 것으로 돌과 바위의 부도를 세심하게 표현한 수작이다. 칼바람이 불던 12월 초 중앙문화인쇄를 찾아가 인쇄노하우에 대해 들어봤다.
