A clinical evaluation was performed on 76 cases of chest injury experienced at department of Chest Surgery, Capital Armed Forces General Hospital during the past 3 years period from January 1981 to August 1983. 1.The most common cause of the chest trauma was gun shot by which 26 cases were injured among 44 cases [57.9%] of penetrating injury. Remaining 32 cases [42.1%] were injured by non-penetrating blunt trauma. 2.Hemopneumothorax was observed in 60 cases [78.9%], those were caused by both penetrating [65%] and non-penetrating [35%] injuries. 3.Rib fracture was found in 58.7% of total cases and with rib fracture, clavicle fracture was combined at 19.6% and sternal fracture, at 8.7%. 4.Most common symptoms were chest pain and dyspnea, and most common signs were breath sound diminution and subcutaneous emphysema. 5.Common site of rib fracture was from 4th rib to 8th rib [69.4%]. 6.In 58 cases [76.3%], patients were treated with operation including open thoracotomy [25 cases]. 7.Overall mortality was 5.3%[4 cases] and causes of death were septic shock and respiratory failure.

The Institute Time Clauses-Hulls 1/10/83 has been using widely with attachment and/or endorsement of the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 stipulating vessel's trading limits. Taking into consideration of several changes and renewals on the contents of the Institute Time Clauses-Hulls for clarifying the clauses themselves with development on technology of vessel's construction and navigational equipments up to the present, the clauses on the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 should have been changed and/or renewed. Moreover, the insured still has been burdening additional premium in vessel's navigating and / or calling to the areas stipulated in the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 regardless of any changes of marine business environments. Thus, this study aims to analyze the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 as well as to suggest a reasonable level of additional premium for breach of Institute warranties through not only a comparative analysis between the Institute Warranties clauses and those of the corresponding Institute Warranties using in the Japanese Fire and Marine Insurance companies but also consideration of current circumstances on changes in climatic conditions, vessel design, navigation and communication requirements and capabilities.

The purpose of this study is to verify how the accounting information of a bankrupt firm which is defined as a dishonor, an impaired total capital, a poor financial performance of a business, a rejection of auditor's opinion and an incongruity of auditor's opinion differs from that of a healthy firm on the basis of the index of financial affairs if the accounting information released by KOSDAQ is valuable. The sampling firms consists of 45 KOSDAQ firms that went bankrupt from 2000 to 2007 and 45 healthy firms which are selected in accordance with the sizes of assets. It has also selected the 30 sampling firms for the confirmation of the model in the same way. According to the result of the in-depth analysis, the variables related to security among the 17 indexes of financial affairs that have been used in this study for 5 years show a noticeable difference between a bankrupt firm and a healthy one. The accuracy of failed firms using this model for confirmation demonstrates 76.7% in 5 years before the bankruptcy, 76.7% in 4 years before that, 65.0% in 3 years before it, 76.7% in 2 years, 88.3% in 1 year. This data shows that the process from a healthy firm to a bankrupt one has progressed gradually and confirms the value of the index of financial affairs, exhibiting the accuracy with 83.8% of a presuming sample and 76.7% of a confirming sample for 5 years.

We optimized conditions of extract solvents and elution solvents for total aflatoxins in foods using HPLC/FLD. The extract solvent was 70% methanol solution including 1% NaCl and the 3 mL of acetonitrile was used as elution solvent using immnuoaffinity column. The detection limits (LOD) was 0.05 ng/g. The recoveries for total aflatoxins ($B_1,\;B_2,\;G_1\;and\;G_2$) studied in foods were cereals ($74.1{\sim}95.5%,\;83.7{\sim}98.8%,\;80.4{\sim}102.4%,\;72.8{\sim}76.5%$), pulses ($85.8{\sim}87.5%,\;83.8{\sim}90.7%,\;92.0{\sim}94.5%,\;60.6{\sim}65.6%$), nuts ($84.6{\sim}97.1%,\;86.0{\sim}94.1%,\;95.5{\sim}111.5%,\;71.0{\sim}89.9%$), processed foods ($81.5{\sim}87.1%,\;82.8{\sim}85.8%,\;85.4{\sim}92.7%,\;68.9{\sim}76.4%$), dried fruits ($83.6{\sim}93.5%,\;78.1{\sim}90.4%,\;93.0{\sim}108.5%,\;64.9{\sim}78.5%$) and other foods ($72.5{\sim}98.3%,\;73.1{\sim}96.4%,\;83.5{\sim}107.2%,\;64.2{\sim}75.8%$), respectively.

A total of 573 Patients hospitalized in National Seoul Mental Hospital and 76 of healthy Persons as control were examined by indirect latex agglutination test in order to evaluate Toxoplasma antibody titers in mental patients. Throughout this survey, 1:32 or more titers of diluted sera were regarded as positive. 1, The 573 samples of test sera showed negative in 386 cases (67.4%), 1:2 in 93 cases (16.2%), 1:4 in 57 cases (9.9%), 1:8 in 14 cases (2.4%), 1:16 in 12 cases (2.1%), 1:32 in 5 cases (0.9%), 1:64 in 1 case (0.2%), 1:128 in 3cases (0.5%) and 1:256 in 2 cases (0.3%) respecttively, 2. Among total 573 mental patients, 11 cases (1.9%) showed positive, and they were 9 cases 41.8%) of schizophrenia and 2 cases (7.4%) of manic depression. 3. One case (1.3%) out of 76 control sera showed positive result.

The 76 cm telescope in Kyung Hee Astronomical Observatory is participating in the small telescope network of the SomangNet project, which started in 2020. Since the installation of the telescope in 1992, the system configuration has been changed several times. The optical system of this telescope has a Ritchey-Chrétien configuration with 76 cm in diameter and the focal ratio is f/7. The mount is a single fork equatorial type and its control system is operated by TheSkyX software. We use a science camera with a 4k × 4k CCD and standard Johnson-Cousins UBVRI filters, which cover a field of view of 23.7 × 23.7 arcmin. We are also developing the Kyung Hee Automatic Observing Software for the 76 cm telescope (KAOS76) for efficient operations. In this work, we present the standard star calibration results, the current status of the system, and the expected science capabilities.

To ascertain that tegument of Pnragonimus westermoni has specific antigenic proteins, the tegumental fraction was isolated from 10-month-old worms by 0.1% digitonin solution, and subjected to SDS-PAGE and immunoblot. Component proteins of tegumental syncytium comprised of 94, 74 (76-66), 62, 54, 44, 42, 38, 28, 26, 25, 24, 17, 15.5 and 13.5 kDa proteins. Of them, the 94, 44 and 42kDa proteins were more specific to tegument, especially the 94 kDa protein was the most prevailing one. In immunoblot, antigens of the 94, 90, 78, 76, 74, 68, 65, 63, 60, 59 and 54 kDa proteins were commonly detected by 7 sera of 10 human paragonimlasis, but none of them reacted with 5 sera of clonorchiasis. In conclusion, the 94 kDa protein was the major tegumental protein, as well as the specific antigen. The 76 and 66 kDa proteins were the minor components of tegument, which were also specific antigens of R westermcni.

Photosensitizing activities of some selected photosensitizers (PS) on the artificial diminution of pesticide residues on red pepper were investigated. Red peppers were sprayed 4 times with the three fungicides, dithianon, triflumizole, and triforine, according to the conventional method, followed by the application of photosensitizers once. Recoveries for the analyses of the pesticide residues were high $(90.7{\sim}98.5%)$ except for dithianon $(76.6{\sim}78.3%)$. In case of dithianon, after 1 day of the application of PS-1 (10 ppm), the residual amount was 76% of that of the control. For triflumizole, the residual amount after 3 days of the application of PS-4 (50 ppm) accounted for 48% of that of the control. In case of triforine, the residual amount after 1 day of the application of PS-3 (100 ppm) was 55% of that of the control. The results indicated that the photosensitizing activities of photosensitizers varied with chemicals and the matrices where pesticide residues are remaining.
