고(高)MOLE비(比)의 규산(珪酸)소다를 사용(使用)한 $CO_2$ 주형(鑄型)의 강도개선(强度改善)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (The Study on the Strength Improvement $CO_2$ Mold Bonded With High Mole-Ratio Sodium Silicates)

  • The influences of some factors on the variation of compression strength of $CO_2$ process were investigated with an attention given to use of high $SiO_2\;/Na_2O$ silicate, addition of organics and gassing operation. 1) Higher ratio binder offers faster rates of hardening with lower $CO_2$ consumption requiring more concentration for a good strength development. A mixture containing 4 percent of 2.7:1 ratio silicate produces the strength above $8kg\;/\;cm^2$ after 80 seconds gassing, but 5% and 6% respectively of 3.0:1 and3.3:1 ratio silicate are necessary to achieve equivalent levels of strength. 2) The correct water content in sand mixtures containing higher ratio silicates is necessary for the better strength properties to be obtained. The addition of 1% water to the sand mixtures bonded with 5%,3:1 ratio and 6%,3.3:1 ratio silicates maintains near-maximum strength on extended gassing. 3) When higher ratio silicates with 3:1 and 3.3:1 ratios are used,the addition of organic additives such as oil, sucrose and polyol results in considerable changes in strength. The presence of 1.0 to 1.5 percent of polyol produces a noticiable improvement 4) Gas diluted with air raises the efficiency of gas utilization. When gas contains 50 percent $CO_2$, the efficience is significantly increased with the best strength in the silicates having high ratios of 3:1 and 3.3:1. 5) The strength of molds is liable to change on storage with the reduction in water content. The magnitude of the strength change is determinded with the mole ratio. The presence of polyol in the mixture with 3.3:1 ratio silicate has a pronounced effect on maintaining the gassed strength.

연초(Nicotiana tabacum cv. Xanthi) 배양세포로부터 Ubiquinone-10 생산을 위한 현탁배양

  • The effect of phytohormones, light and phosphate on in vitro production of ubiquinone 10 from the suspension cultures of Nicotiana tabacum cv. Xanthi callus was investigated. The inoculum size and cultured time in the suspension culture had to be at least over 2 % of medium volume at 15 days for the excellent growth of Xanthi callus. The growth of Xanthi callus in the suspension culture was improved by addition of NAA and 2,4-D, especially NAA 1.0mg/1 alone, at the light condition. The optimal concentration of phytohormone was 0.1 mg/l 2.4-D and 1.0 mg/l NAA for productivity of ubiquinone 10 in the suspenseion of Xanthi callus. Addition of 3mM KH$_2$PO$_4$ to the medium was more effective in promoting ubiquinone-l0 formation than other concentration in the light condition. Content and production of ubiquinone-l0 in the suspension cultures of Xanthi callus were the highest at the MS media containing 0.5mg/L kinetin, 0.5mg/L 2,4-D, 1.0mg/1 NAA, 3mM phosphate and 2 % inoculum in the light.

  • Dielectric and electrostrictive properties of 0.99Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.01Pb(Mn2/3W1/3)O3 system using KCl-NaCl salts have been investigated as a function of the amount of excess MgO. For the specimens calcined at $700^{\circ}C$ for 1h and then sintered at 115$0^{\circ}C$ for 4h, the perovskite phase and the relative density were about 98% and 95%, respectively. With the addition of excess MgO up to 10mol%, the dielectric constant and the electrostrictive strain increased due to the increase of density and grain size, and these properties were degraded by the further addition of excess MgO. For the 10mol% excess MgO added specimen, the maximum electrostrictive strain, Xmax, and the electrostrictive coefficient, Q11, were 4.5$\times$10-4, 3.5$\times$10-2m4/C2, respectively. These results were correlated with the property of PMW and microstructure.

Incorporating Grapefruit Seed Extract into Gelidium corneum-Whey Protein Isolate Blend Packaging Film Increases the Shelf Life of Fish Paste

  • The Gelidium corneum (GC)-whey protein isolate (WPI) blend film containing grapefruit seed extract (GSE) was prepared by incorporating different amounts (0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.08, 0.1%) of GSE into the film. The film's tensile strength (TS) and water vapor permeability (WVP) were improved by the addition of GSE. The film containing 0.1% GSE had a TS of 3.27 MPa, whereas the control had 2.64 MPa. WVP of the film was also significantly decreased by the addition of GSE. Addition of 0.1% GSE decreased the populations of Escherichia coli O157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes, and Salmonella Typhimurium by 1.0, 1.6, and 0.6 log CFU/g, respectively, compared to the control. Fish paste was packed with the GC-WPI blend film containing GSE, and microbial change in the fish paste inoculated with E. coli O157:H7, L. monocytogenes, and S. Typhimurium during storage was examined. Populations of E. coli O157:H7, L. monocytogenes, and S. Typhimurium were decreased by 0.60, 0.48, and 0.85 log CFU/g, after 7 day of storage, respectively. These results suggest packaging fish paste in the GC-WPI blend film containing GSE can extend the shelf life.

신축성 데님 청바지의 패턴 연구 (The Development of Jeans Pattern for Stretch Denim Fabrics)

  • The purpose of this study was to present a making method of jeans pattern with high fitness after deriving the appropriate shrinkage rate by material and washing process. According to the result of the exterior evaluation of test jeans, all 6 jeans were rated high with scores close to 3.5. Following the evaluation of satisfaction of usage by physical movement, the highest ranking was in the order of walking with normal steps, back bending $90^{\circ}$, chair sitting, climbing stairs and squatting. The shrinkage rate by physical area showed the highest score in the order of pants length, waist circumference, thigh circumference, knee circumference, hem circumference, hips circumference. In addition, the shrinkage rate was higher in warp direction than weft direction after washing finishing. As for the result of addition and reduction of pattern measurements by parts of jeans, waist circumference was $3.1{\sim}5.1cm$, hips circumference was $-1.2{\sim}4.2cm$, thigh circumference was $-0.9{\sim}3.1cm$ and pants length was $3.4{\sim}6.1cm$. That is, this results showed a wide range of addition and reduction according to material and washing finishing.

알콕사이드의 가수분해법에 의한 단분산 지르코니아 분체의 합성 (Synthesis of Monodispersed Zirconia Powder by Hydrolysis of Zirconium Alkoxides)

  • In synthesizing hydrated zirconia powder by hydrolysis of Zr-alkoxides using ethanol as mutual solvent, three experimental parameters, namely, concentration of alkoxides and hydrolysis water and addition rate of hydrolysis water were varied systematically. Spherical, monodispersed, nonagglomerated and submicrometer sized powders were prepared at 0.3 M of Zr(n-OPr)4 and 0.05M of Zr(n-OBu)4 with wide ranges of hydrolysis water conditions i.e. 0.5-2.0M concentration and 1-20ml/min addition rate. During the hydrolsis, careful attention have to be paid to maintain homogeneous reaction by controlling the agitation of the reactant and the addition of the hydrolysis water. For more improved condition of monodispersity it was found that the key point is to shorten the self-nucleation time within several seconds as rapid as possible. In both alkoxides system, with higher concentration of alkoxide and hydrolysis water and with slow addition rate of hydrolysis water, hydrated zirconia powders synthesized showed tendency to fall in worse powder conditions.

회전매체를 가진 완전혼합 활성슬러지/Solid Contact 공법을 이용한 하수처리에 관한 연구 (Sewage Treatment using Moving Media Complete Mixing Activated Sludge/Solid Contact Process)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the applicability of Solid Contact Process for the improvement of Moving Media Complete Mixing Activated Sludge(MMCMAS) effluents. Laboratory MMCMAS Reactor and MMCMAS/Solid Contact were operated at the hydraulic loading of 122~340 L/m$^2$/d. The conclusions from this study were as follows ; The addition of Solid Contact tank to the MMCMAS reactor has increased the SCOD and SBOD removal efficiencies of 4 to 67% and 2 to 41%, respectively. In addition, the increments of nitrification rates were about 13 to 46%. It was also observed that the addition of Solid Contact tank has greatly increased the organic removal efficiencies at the higher hydraulic loading rates and also decrement of sludge production rates was 0.1 gVSS/gBODrem. It was therefore concluded that the addition of Solid Contact tank could have polished the effluent of MMCMAS at the higher hydraulic loading rates.

방울토마토(Lycopersicon escylentnm mill ssp.)를 첨가(添加)한 Yogurt의 제조(製造)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preparation of Yogurt Added with Tomato Juice)

  • 본 연구는 토마토의 영양적인 효과와 유산균 배양시의 발효촉진 효과를 기대한 새로운 요구르트 개발의 일환으로, 환원(還元) 탈지유에 방울토마토(Lycopersicon escylentnm mill ssp.) juice를 1, 3, 및 5% 첨가하여 요구르트를 제조하였을 때와 방울토마토 juice에 glucose를 대치하여 요구르트를 제조하였을 때의 실험결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 요구르트 발효에 있어 방울토마토 juice 첨가구(添加區)(pH 4.3, 적정산도 0.93)가 대조구(對照區)(pH 4.6, 적정산도 0.85)에 비하여 pH 저하 및 산생성의 증가가 빨랐으며, 방울토마토 juice 첨가 농도가 높을수록 pH저하 및 산 생성의 증가가 빨랐다. 2. 요구르트 발효에 있어 방울토마토 juice 첨가구(添加區)($4.57{\times}10^{12}cfu/ml$)가 대조구(對照區)($8.96{\times}10^{11}cfu/ml$)에 비하여 유산균수가 크게 증가 하였다. 3. 요구르트 발효에 있어 방울토마토 juice 첨가구(添加區)(15.7)가 대조구(對照區) (16.5)에 비하여 방울토마토 juice 첨가 농도가 높을수록 당도의 저하를 촉진시켰다. 4. 방울토마토 juice 시험구는 $5^{\circ}C$에서 14일간 저장시에 pH 4.05, 적정산도 1.092 유산균수가 $2.43{\times}10^{12}$로서 제품의 우수성을 확인할 수 있었다. 5. 요구르트 발효에 있어 방울토마토 juice 5% 첨가구(添加區)(pH 4.05, 적정산도 1.032)가 glucose만을 5% 첨가(添加)한 대조구(對照區)(pH 4.2, 적정산도 0.939)에 비하여 pH 저하 및 산생성의 증가가 빨랐다. 6. 요구르트 발효에 있어 방울토마토 juice 5% 첨가구(添加區)($3.16{\times}10^{11}cfu/ml$)가 glucose만을 5% 첨가(添加)한 대조구(對照區)($9.8{\times}10^{10}cfu/ml$)보다 유산균의 증식이 빨랐으며, 방울토마토 juice의 첨가농도가 높을수록 촉진되었다. 7. 요구르트 발효에 있어 방울토마토 juice 5% 첨가구(添加區)(15.0)가 glucose만을 5% 첨가(添加)한 대조구(對照區)(16.2)보다 빠른 당도의 저하로 발효를 촉진함을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 제 결과를 종합할 때 방울토마토의 첨가는 요구르트 발효에 있어 pH, 적정산도, 당도 및 유산균수 증가에 촉진효과를 나타냄을 알 수 있었다.

늙은 호박 동결건조분말을 첨가한 식빵의 품질특성 (Quality characteristics of the breads added with freeze dried old pummkin powders)

  • 늙은 호박분말을 첨가한 기능성 식빵을 개발하기 위해 밀가루(강력분)에 100 mesh체로 분리한 늙은 호박분말을 1%, 2%, 4%, 8%의 비율로 혼합하여 식빵을 제조한 후 이화학적, 물리적 특성을 조사하였다. 늙은 호박분말의 일반성분은 수분 6.47%, 조회분 5.49%, 조단백질 9.38%의 비율이었고, 늙은 호박분말을 첨가한 식빵의 수분함량은 42.22∼44.39% 수준으로 호박분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하였으며, 수분활성도(0.528∼0.576) 역시 높아지는 경향이었다. 비용적은 늙은 호박분말의 첨가량이 1%에서 8%로 증가함에 따라 비용적은 감소하였으나, 중량은 증가하는 경향이었다. 또한, 보수력은 첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하는 경향이었다. 기계적 색도 중 명도 L값과 적색도 a값이 늙은 호박분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 그 값이 감소하였고, 황색도인 b값은 무첨가군 +12.65보다 호박분말 첨가군이 +29.44∼+45.58로 매우 높은 값을 나타내었다. 기계적 조직감 중 굳기는 호박분말의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 무첨가군에 보다 단단하였고, 호박분말 8% 첨가군이 561g으로 무첨가군 248g보다 단단하였다. 관능평가에서는 색은 4% 호박분말첨가군이 3.91로, 단맛은 4%와 8% 호박분말첨가군이 각각 4.55로 조직감은 무첨가군과 1% 호박분말첨가군에서 각각 3.36으로, 전체적인 기호도의 경우는 4% 호박분말첨가군이 3.64로 가장 높은 관능점수를 얻었다. 따라서, 위의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 식빵의 제조에 있어 늙은 호박분말의 첨가량은 4%으로 수준으로 첨가함이 호박분말 특유의 색과 맛을 가미한 새로운 호박분말이 적절하게 첨가된 식빵을 제조할 수 있으리라 생각된다.

사료 내 섬유소의 첨가가 자돈의 성장 성적에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Feeding with Fiber Diets on Growth Performance in Weanling Piglets)

  • 본 실험은 자돈 사료 내 섬유소 공급원 및 첨가 수준의 차이가 이유자돈의 성장 능력에 미치는 영향을 평가하고자 수행되었다. 섬유소 공급원으로 sugar beet pulp와 oat hull을 각 2%, 8% 첨가 수준을 달리하여 자돈에 급이하였으며, 처리구는 사료 내 항생제를 0.1% 첨가한 PC 처리구의 성장 성적에 비해 낮았으나, 항생제를 첨가하지 않은 NC 처리구에 비해 높게 나타났다. 또한 sugar beet pulp 8%를 급이 한 처리구는 PC 처리구와 유사한 성장 성적을 보였으며, 이는 섬유소 공급이 이유 후 자돈의 장내 환경에 긍정적 영향을 미친 것으로 사료된다.
