노랑초파리 발생과정에서 rpr, grim, dcp-1, diapl, diap2의 발현 (Expression of rpr, grim, dcp-1, diapl, and diap2 during Drosophila Development)

  • 초파리 발생과정에서 세포사멸에 관여하는 유전자인 reaper(rpr), grim, dcp-1, diap1, diap1, diap2의 발현양상을 경제적 RT-PCR 방법으로 분석하였다. 세포사멸 유도 유전자인 rpr, grim의 발현양상은 발생단계에 따른 ecdysone titer 변화 양상과 매우 유사하였다. Effector caspase인 dcp-1 전사체는 초기 배와 암컷 성체에서 높은 발현을 보였다. 반면에 세포사멸 억제인자인 diap1과 diap2 전사체는 세포사멸 유도 인자인 rpr과 girm 전사체와 서로 상반적인 양상으로 발현되었다. 또한, 유주 3령 유충의 발생단계 별로 침샘조직과 성체원기조직에서 rpr, diap2, dcp-1의 전사체의 양적 변동을 분석하였다. rpr, diap2의 전사체양은 두 조직에서 서로 상반적으로 변화하였다. 이 결과는 정상 발생과정에서 세포죽음 관련유전자들의 발현이 ecdysone 신호에 의해 조절됨을 암시해 주었다.

Highly efficient adsorptive removal of uranyl ions from aqueous solutions using dicalcium phosphate nanoparticles as a superabsorbent

  • Dicalcium phosphate nanoparticles (DCP-NPs) was synthesized chemically and used for adsorptive removal of uranyl ions from aqueous solutions in a batch system. A commercial grade of DCP (monetite) was also employed for comparison. The synthesized and commercial adsorbents (S-DCP and C-DCP) were characterized by FT-IR, SEM and XRD techniques. The investigation of adsorption isotherms indicated that the maximum adsorption capacities ($q_m$) for C-DCP and S-DCP were 714.3 and $666.7mg\;g^{-1}$ (at 293 K), respectively. The experimental kinetics were well-described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic and the equilibrium data were fitted with both Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption models. Thermodynamic studies indicated that the adsorption of uranyl ions on the monetite surface was a spontaneous exothermic process. The exhausted adsorbents could be regenerated by washing with $0.10mol\;L^{-1}$ NaOH.

민들레복합분말을 첨가한 건식형 저염 비빔밥의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Dried Type Sodium-Reduced Bibimbap using Dandelion Complex Powder)

  • We investigated the antioxidant, physicochemical, and sensory characteristics of dried type sodium-reduced Bibimbap using dandelion complex powder (DCP). DCP is known to add moisture to the skin and relieve symptoms of atopic dermatitis. The sodium content of the standard sample was 1,110.87 mg per serving. The sodium was significantly reduced by 30%, resulting in 762.62 mg of sodium for the reduced sodium group (p<0.05). The ash contents of the standard sample group with DCP showed the highest value (3.17%) in all samples and was affected by minerals of DCP (p<0.05). The total flavonoid contents and ABTS radical scavenging activity, indicators of antioxidant, anticancer and antibacterial activities, showed significantly high activities with addition of DCP (p<0.05). In the sensory results, bulgogi and savory flavor of the samples with DCP showed significantly higher values, and samples with DCP received the highest scores for after-taste. All samples were confirmed to be microbiologically safe according to the food code applied to food manufacturers. Pathogenic microorganisms tests were either negative or not detected in all samples.

Feeding di-ammonium phosphate as a phosphorous source in finishing lambs reduced excretion of phosphorus in feces without detrimental effects on animal performance

  • Objective: Phosphorous (P) sources with greater bioavailability might increase animal production efficiency and decrease environmental pollution. The objective of current study was to determine animal performance, nutrient digestibility, blood metabolites and fecal P concentration in finishing lambs fed a diet with either di-calcium phosphate (DCP) or di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) as a P source. Methods: Twelve 4-month-old male lambs (initial body weight $24.87{\pm}3.4kg$) were randomly allocated to a diet with either DCP or DAP (~261 g/kg of total diet P) fed ad libitum for 93 days. Diets were iso-nitrogenous and iso-energetic and had same calcium (Ca) and P concentrations. Results: The DAP contained 19.7 g/kg of dry matter (DM) Ca, 185.4 g/kg DM P and 14,623 ppm fluorine, while DCP contained 230.3 g/kg DM Ca, 195.2 g/kg DM P and 1,039 ppm fluorine. The diet with DAP contained 60 ppm fluorine while the diet with DCP contained 13 ppm fluorine. Lambs fed the diet with DAP tended to have a greater daily DM intake compared to those fed diet with DCP (p = 0.09). Lambs fed DAP had greater plasma P concentration and alkaline phosphatase activity ($p{\leq}0.01$) compared with lambs fed DCP. Dry matter and organic matter digestibility of the diets were similar between two treatments at days 60 and 90, while they were greater in lambs fed DCP (p<0.05) at day 30 of the trial. Feeding DAP increased P digestibility (58.7% vs 50.2%; p<0.05) and decreased fecal P concentration in lambs compared with feeding DCP (3.1 vs 3.8 g/kg DM; p<0.05). Conclusion: Providing ~261 g/kg of total diet P as DAP in the diet of finishing lambs improved the bioavailability of P in the body and decreased excretion of P in feces without affecting lamb performance.

Cure Characteristics of Foaming EVA Compounds: Influence of EVA Types and Cure Systems

  • Influence of poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA) types and cure systems on cure characteristics of foaming EVA compounds were investigated. Three kind EVAs with different VA contents were employed. Influence of triallyl cyanurate (TAC) and dicumylperoxide (DCP) content on the cure characteristics were examined. The minimum torque ($T_{min}$) and delta torque (${\Delta}T$) decreased as the VA content increased. The ${\Delta}T$ was increased by adding TAC and by increasing the DCP content. For the foaming EVA compounds without TAC, the cure times such as the minimum cure time ($t_{min}$), scorch time ($t_2$), and optimal cure time ($t_{90}$) did not show a specific trend according to the DCP contents. For the foaming EVA compounds containing TAC, the cure times decreased as the DCP content increased. From the experimental results, it was found that efficienct DCP/TAC ratio for improvement of the crosslink density was 1.1~2.0.

동적 콘관입 시험의 현장적용성 평가를 위한 현장 지지력시험 상호 비교 연구 (Comparison of Field Bearing Capacity Tests to Evaluate the Field Application of Dynamic Cone Penetrometer Test)

  • 포장하부구조의 지지력을 평가하기 위해 많이 사용되는 방법은 평판재하시험(Plate Bearing Test) 현장 CBR시험(California Bearing Ratio Test) 등이 있으나, 시험을 수행하는데 있어 많은 인력과 시간이 소비되는 단점이 있어, 많은 연구자들은 현장에서 포장하부구조의 강성을 측정할 수 있는 간편한 방법으로 동적 콘 관입시험(Dynamic Cone Penetrometer Test)을 제안하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 DCP의 현장적용성을 평가하기 위해, 총 4개 현장의 노상층과 보조기층에서 DCP, 평판재하시험, 현장CBR시험, FWD시험을 동시에 수행하여 그 결과를 상호 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 DCPI, $M{FWD},\;PBT\underline{\;}K_{30}$은 서로 일정한 상관관계가 존재하는 것으로 나타났으나, CBR은 다른 결과 값들과 비교한 결과 상관관계가 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이 결과로부터 $DCPI-M_{FWD},\;DCPI-PBT\underline{\;}K_{30}$ 관계식을 다음과 같이 제안하였다. $$M_{FWD}=993.10\Big(\frac{1}{DCPI}\Big)+33.95\;R^2=0.774$ $$M_{FWD}=3.7533K_{30}+23.085\;R^2=0.69$$

  • 본 연구에서는 디지털 코드리스폰(DCP)에 대한 현재 각국의 동향과 주파수 분배대역을 연구 분석하였다. 그 결과 국내 도입 가능한 후보주파수대역으로 1.7GHz와 2.4GHz대역을 제안하였다. 제안된 1.7GHz는 유럽의 DECT시스템이 도입될 것으로 예상되고 있어, 인접대역인 IMT-2000 후보주파수 대역간의 간섭분석이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 1.7GHz대역과 IMT-2000 후보 주파수대역간의 간섭분석을 실시하여, 1.7GHz대역의 채널배치를 제안하였다.

UV/H2O2를 이용한 2,4-DCP의 산화에 NO3- 이온이 미치는 영향 (Effects of Nitrate Ions on Advanced Oxidation of UV/H2O2 for 2,4-Dichlomphenol Degradation)

  • The Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) is being increasingly used to oxidize complex organic constituents in treated effluents from domestic wastewater treatment plants. Generally, ${NO_3}^--N$ concentrations ranges between 5 and 8 mg/L for biologically well-treated effluents. However, nitrate ions, ${NO_3}^-$, affects on oxidation as not only a well-known strong absorber of UV light below 250 nm of wavelength but also as an OH radical scavenger. The objective of this study was to evaluate the AOP systems for degradation of 2,4-DCP, and to delineate the effect of nitrate ions on UV oxidation of 2,4-DCP by conducting a bench-scale operation at various reaction times and initial concentrations of $H_2O_2$. The experimental results indicated that 2,4-DCP could be completely oxidized by $UV/H_2O_2$ process with an initial $H_2O_2$ concentration of 20 mg/L at a retention time of 1.0 min or longer. Nitrate ions did not show any adverse effect on 2,4-DCP oxidation at this high $H_2O_2$ concentration, and the practical initial $H_2O_2$ concentration and reaction time for the 80% oxidation turned out to be 5 mg/L and 1.0 min, respectively.

  • Recently, the demand for atypical structures with functions and sculptural beauty is increasing in the construction industry. Existing mold-based structure production methods have many advantages, but building complex atypical structures represents limitations due to the cost and technical characteristics. Production methods using molding are suitable for mass production systems, but production cost, construction period, construction cost, and environmental pollution can occur in small quantity batch production. The recent trend in the construction industry calls for new construction methods of customized small quantity batch production methods that can produce various types of sophisticated structures. In addition to the economic effects of developing related technologies of 3D Concrete Printers (3DCP), it can enhance national image through the image of future technology, the international status of the construction civil engineering industry, self-reliance, and technology export. Until now, 3DCP technology has been carried out in producing and utilizing residential houses, structures, etc., on land or manufacturing on land and installing them underwater. The final purpose of this research project is to produce marine structures by directly printing various marine structures underwater with 3DCP equipment. Compared to current underwater structure construction techniques, constructing structures directly underwater using 3DCP equipment has the following advantages: 1) cost reduction effects: 2) reduction of construct time, 3) ease of manufacturing amorphous underwater structures, 4) disaster prevention effects. The core element technology of the 3DCP equipment is to extrude the transferred composite materials at a constant quantitative speed and control the printing flow of the materials smoothly while printing the output. In this study, the extruding module of the 3DCP equipment operates underwater while developing an extruding module that can control the printing flow of the material while extruding it at a constant quantitative speed and minimizing the external force that can occur during underwater printing. The research on the development of 3DCP equipment for printing concrete structures underwater and the preliminary experiment of printing concrete structures using high viscosity low-flow concrete composite materials is explained.
