  • This study is investigated the formative characteristics of Rap Music and Hiphop fashion, and I try to comprehend about the fashion mind and fashion culture of teenager 1. Teenager's Hiphop Fashion is subcultures, the fashion culture of teenager reflects their unique identity. 2. The formative characters of Rap Music and Hiphop Fashion are the incompatibility ignored their body size and the popularity caused street fashion imitation, the unbalance ignored a principle of fashion design. 3. Hiphop Fashion is consist of jump-style jacket, hood -shirt, stripe T-shirt and drum pants, baggy pants, snowboard pants and so on. 4. The characters of Hiphop Fashion is the breaking of rule and the destruction. 5. They select something which they like, even though the price is high, so they is tendency to editing coordinate 6. Fashion business for teenager, it needs an ideal conversion not for 'company' but for 'individual' As this results, fashion culture of teenager came out to the surface of water, because of Hiphop Fashion.

여고생의 교복 및 장식 행동에 관한 연구 -경상남도 마산.창원 지역을 중심으로- (A Study on School Uniform and Ornaments Behaviors of High School Girls)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how high school girl students used their school uniforms and what types of ornaments they preferred, in an effort to identify the image of school uniform. The result of this study were as follow: First, 52.6 percent of the students investigated altered their uniforms, and as fur the major alteration style, revival one to take them in to be well-fitting was dominant. But concerning skirts, hip-hop style was also found. The students viewed ornaments more favorably, as the larger group of the students perceived that it was necessary to restrict the school-uniform alteration yet not to control ornaments. Concerning how much they wore school uniforms, most of them continued to wear them outside school in many cases. Specifically, those who engaged in pastime or went shopping wearing school uniforms enjoyed altering them, and they also enjoyed using ornaments that weren't allowed by the school dress code. Second, as to school-uniform image, elegant image was most preferred, followed by practical, innocent and fashion-conscious ones. They were most preferred with its elegant image. Third, as to ornaments image, they were most preferred with its positive image.

문화를 비추는 거울: 대중음악 선호에 반영된 한국인의 문화성향을 중심으로 (Mirrors that Illuminate Culture: Koreans' Cultural Orientation Reflected in Pop Music Preferences)

  • 본 연구는 새로운 연구 주제인 대중가요 가사에 한국인의 문화성향 변화가 반영되어 있는지와 개인의 문화성향이 선호하는 대중음악 장르와 관련이 있는지를 알아보았다. 연구 1에서는 1980년부터 2018년까지의 대중음악 가사를 내용분석하여, 대중음악 가사를 통해 시간의 흐름에 따른 한국인들의 문화성향 변화를 포착할 수 있는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 곡의 발매연대가 2010년대에 가까워질수록 대중음악 가사에 개인주의 문화권의 이상적 정서가 집단주의 문화권의 이상적 정서보다 더 자주 표현된 것으로 나타났는데, 이러한 결과는 시간이 흐를수록 한국인이 점차 개인주의화되었을 가능성을 시사한다. 연구 2에서는 개인의 문화성향과 선호하는 대중음악 장르 및 사용하는 음악기능이 어떠한 관련성을 가지는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 집단주의 성향을 많이 지닌 사람들은 발라드와 랩/힙합과 같은 중·저각성 음악을 선호하는 동시에 록/메탈과 같은 고각성 음악을 덜 선호하는 결과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 집단주의 성향을 지닌 사람들이 각성 수준이 높은 것보다는 낮은 것을 선호할 것이라는 가설과 일정 부분 일치한다. 또한, 음악의 개인적, 사회적, 문화적 기능 중 사회적 기능이 집단주의 성향과 가장 큰 정적 상관관계를 보였는데, 이러한 결과는 집단주의 성향의 사람들이 타인과 좋은 관계를 유지하기 위하여 음악을 사용하기 때문에 나타난 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 본 연구는 문화성향과 대중음악에 대한 선호라는 독특한 주제를 내용분석과 조사연구를 통하여 알아보았다는 데 의의가 있다. 마지막으로, 논의에는 연구의 한계점과 결과의 활용방안을 제시하였다

서양복식에 나타난 Graffiti의 기호에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sign of the Graffiti Depicted in the Western Costumes)

  • The purpose of this study was to recognize the meanings of plastic language by analyzing the sign of the Graffiti depicted in western modern costumes. And the scope of this study was focused on analysing the costumes from 1980's when the Graffiti was recognized as one of the plastic arts. Graffiti was an unprofessional and covert desire of self-expression, having a close relation with our lives. It was used in diverse ways with repeating creation, development, and extinction, from expressing liveliness in Old Stone Age through describing symbolic meaning in the modern art. Graffiti means rude, humorous, or political writing and pictures on the walls of buildings. It's different from the delicate letters or pictures to inscript on the tree or rocks. Being introduced as part of Post-modernism in the 1970s, Graffiti was acknowledged as a new artistic action with the culture of hip-hop. In addition the Graffiti, the expression of sign was reflected artist's internal consciousness with boundless sign. The sign is something to transmit message from the nonverbal point of view, the oldest sign was the sign for petition or the expression of something as a primitive form. Sign can be defined as a framework of life inherited as a practice from the primitive age long past. Graffiti was cited as a concrete example of sign, theme of this paper, and general understanding on sign expression was pursued through free work which all artists present with essential and positive ways using signs, their own languages, and life style. The result of this study was summarized as follows: Since the end of the 20th century, a lot of fashion designers have represented symbolic images, such as letter and signs, as purely personal ways of expression through the western costumes. It was found that fashion designers of the Graffiti whose free work style from inherent inner consciousness might provide a basic framework to search for complex signs of modem costumes naturally understood life itself as plastic art, and sublimated human inherent desire and their inner world through their works.

프리프합(Prep-hop) 패션의 디자인 특성 (The Design Characteristics of Prep-hop Fashion)

  • This research aims to analyze the prep-hop fashion, which is an original look created through the convergence of the hip-hop and preppy look, and identify the design characteristics of the prep-hop fashion. The style mixes the fashion of what was traditionally a lower-class look with the upper class. The design characteristics are as follows: First, the prep-hop fashion expresses slim, casual and sophisticated look with items and silhouettes. The items are categorized into jackets, shirts and pants. The prep-hop jackets provides a casual look to its wearer unlike the jackets of preppy or conservative looks. Slim suits show different meanings and features depending on the changes in the time and culture despite the continued use of the items. Second, the colors of the prep-hop fashion include overall basic colors used in the preppy look and hip-hop fashion. The aesthetic values of the colors express pleasant color images different from the conservative and resistant images expressed in the preppy and hip-hop style before the convergence, respectively. Third, the materials and patterns are expressed in a unique way to fulfill the emotional needs that are considered vital to contemporary fashion. The materials in the prep-hop fashion extend the ranges of usage by using the materials with unexpectedness broken out of general range of usage. While the use of the patterns is one of the methods to demonstrate that the prep-hop fashion is created by the convergence between hip-hop fashion and preppy look, the meaning concludes pleasantness and casualness different from the past. Fourth, the prep-hop fashion is mainly composed of hip-hop fashion accessories, which express the authenticity of the hip-hop fashion to protect the non-mainstream characteristics. The design characteristics of the prep-hop fashion pursue the individuality of the contemporary fashion, which lacks originality due to commercialization. The development of the prep-hop fashion, as a new form that combined contrasting genres and trends, is expected to develop more publicly.

국내 브레이킹 연구동향 분석 (Analysis of Breaking Research Trends in Korea)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 국내 브레이킹 연구의 동향을 파악하여 특징과 시사점을 도출하고 나아가 향후 연구 방향성을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국연구재단(KCI) 등재 학술지에 출판된 브레이킹 관련 50개 논문의 문헌 분석(논문발행시기, 연구방법, 연구주제)과 키워드 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 논문발행시기별 경향은 2006년 처음 게재되어 이후 2012년 약간의 증가세를 보이다가 2021년 급증하였다. 둘째, 국내 브레이킹 관련 연구는 주로 질적연구(60%) 중심으로 이루어져왔다. 셋째, 연구주제를 살펴보면 정체성확립, 문화예술분야, 스포츠 분야의 3가지로 구분되며, 이 중 정체성 확립 관련 연구가 60% 이상을 차지했다. 마지막으로 브레이킹 논문에서 자주 사용된 키워드를 살펴보면, 가장 자주 등장하는 단어는 '힙합'이었으며, '문화'가 그 뒤를 이었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 학문적이고 이론적인 접근을 통한 브레이킹의 정체성 확립, 표준화된 교재 및 교육과정의 개발을 통한 실무적 접근, 통합적인 접근을 통한 분야의 특성 및 역량 강화, 스포츠로의 변화를 위해 갖추어야 될 요건등을 시사점으로 도출하였다.
