A Study on Propulsion Performance of Underwater Ram-Jet with Optimized Nozzle Configuration (최적 노즐형상을 갖는 수중램제트의 추진성능에 관한 연구)

  • The basic principle of underwater ram-jet as a unique marine propulsion concept showing vary high cruise speed range(e. g. 80-100 knots) is the thrust production by the transfer of the potential energy of compressed gas to the operating liquid through kinetic mixing process. This paper is aimed to investigate the propulsive efficiency of the nozzle flow in underwater ram-jet at the speed of 80 knots for the buried type vessel. The basic assumption of the theoretical analysis is that mixture of water and air can be treated as incompressible gas. For an optimized nozzle configuration obtained from the performance analysis, preliminary data for performance evaluation are obtained and effects of nozzle inner wall friction, ambient temperature, ambient pressure, water density, gas velocity, bubble radius, flow velocity, diffuser area ratio, mass flow ratio and water velocity gradient are investigated.

  • Barcelona Basic Model (BBM) can describe not only swelling owing to decrease in effective stress, but also wetting-induced swelling due to decrease in suction. And the BBM can also consider increase in cohesion and apparent preconsolidation stress with suction, and decrease in the apparent preconsolidation stress with temperature. Therefore, the BBM is widely used all over the world to predict and to analyze coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior of bentonite which is considered as buffer materials at the engineered barrier system in the high-level radioactive waste disposal system. However, the BBM is not well known in Korea, so this paper introduce the BBM to Korean rock engineers and geotechnical engineers. In this study, Modified Cam Clay (MCC) model is introduced before all, because the BBM was first developed as an extension of the MCC model to unsaturated soil conditions. Then, the thermo-elasto-plastic version of the BBM is described in detail.

A study on the relationship between exposure to hazardous and risk factors and absenteeism according to the period of the Korean Working Conditions Survey

  • This study used Korean work environment surveys data to confirm the relationship between exposure to harmful and risk factors and absenteeism of manufacturing workers according to the survey period. Accordingly, 8,318 workers in the manufacturing industry were analyzed for the same questions of harmful and risk factors in 2011 (3rd), 2017 (5th), and 2020 (6th). Work-related hazards and risks, vibration, noise, high temperature, dust inhalation, vapor inhalation, chemical handling, and infectious material handling were found to affect absenteeism more than 3/4 of the time of exposure in 2020 compared to 2011. In conclusion, it was found that non-exposure to work-related hazards and risk factors increased one survey after another, and that the time of exposure to work-related hazards and risk factors affected absenteeism.

  • 연소화염법을 이용한 다이아몬드 박막합성은 기판의 표면상태에 크게 의존한다. 특히 탄소결합상이 기판에 조재하는 경우 다이아몬드 핵생성과 성장은 크게 영향을 받는다. 본 연구에서는 일정한 흡입가스비율(R=O2/C2H2)과 기판온도 조건의 연소화염법을 이용하여 몰리브덴 기판위에 다리아몬드박막을 합성하는 과정에서 박막의 핵생성에 미치는 기판 탄소화합물의 영향을 조사하였다. Mb 금속기판표면에 형성된 탄화물로는 Mo2C상과 soot를 택하여 박막합성 전에 Mo기판상에 형성시켰다. Mo 금속기판표면에 형성된 탄화물(Mo2C)상에는 다이아몬드 핵생성과 입자성장이 촉진되어 가장 조대한 양질의 다이아몬드 입자가 형성되었다. 이것은 탄화물상이 반응가스중의 탄소의 확산을 저지함과 동시에 핵생성의 필요한 잠복기간을 감소키켰기 때문이다. 그러나 soot를 구성하는 미세한 탄소결합상들이 다이아몬드 핵생성 장소로 작용하여 결과적으로 다이아몬드 수밀도가 가장 크게 관찰된 반면, 입자성장은 Mo2C기판에 비해 작았다.

  • This work deals with a controlled auto-ignition (CAI) single cylinder gasoline engine, focusing on the extension of operating conditions. In order to keep a homogeneous air-fuel mixing, the fuel injector is water-cooled by a specially designed coolant passage. Investigated are the engine emission characteristics under the wide range of operating conditions such as 40 in the air-fuel ratio, 1000 to 1800 rpm in the engine speed, $150\;to\;180^{\circ}C$ in the inlet-air temperature, and $80^{\circ}$ BTDC to $20^{\circ}$ ATDC in the injection timing. A controlled auto-ignition gasoline engine which has the ultra lean-burn with self-ignition of gasoline fuel can be achieved by heating inlet air. It can be achieved that the emission concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides had been significantly reduced by CAI combustion compared with conventional spark ignition engine.

  • This work treats a controlled auto-ignition (CAI) single cylinder gasoline engine, focusing on the extension of operating conditions. A controlled auto-ignition gasoline engine can be achieved the ultra lean-burn with self-ignition of gasoline fuel by heating inlet air. It can be achieved that the emission concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides had been significantly reduced by CAI combustion compared with conventional spark ignition engines.

Simulation for Fuel Droplet Evaporation in Cylinder (실린더내의 연료 액적의 기화 과정에 관한 수치 연구)

  • In this study, a numerical method for fuel droplet evaporation in cylinder of S.I. engine is presented. This study was newly defined non-dimensional critical droplet lifetime and modeled heating and evaporation processes of fuel droplet during intake and compression stroke of gasoline engine. The simulation results show that simultaneous increase of gas temperature and pressure in compression stroke seems to have compensative effect on droplet gasification rate. The environment variations in cylinder have little effect on the fuel droplet gasification process. The droplet size for full evaporation at the end of compression stroke can be estimated using this program.

  • 본 개발의 목적은 연료전지차량에 탑재되는 연료전지 시스템에 장착될 공기공급기를 개발하는 것이었다. 개발된 공기공급기의 형태는 공급해야 할 공기의 유량과 압력 범위, 소음 및 향후 양산성 등을 고려하여 원심형 블로어를 선택하였으며, 차량 부하에 따른 공기공급량을 제어하기 위한 제어기도 적용되었다. 또한 차량에 적용될 경우, 예상되는 가혹한 사용환경에서 안정적인 성능을 발휘하고, 내구성을 할 수 있도록 설계되었으며, 특히, 외기온도 $45^{\circ}C$에서도 충분한 방열성능을 갖도록 모터 및 모터 방열구조를 설계하였다. 이를 위하여 공급되는 공기로 직접 모터를 냉각하는 개념을 적용하였다. 개발된 터보블로어의 응답성을 포함한 성능평가를 수행하였으며, 설계점에서 600시간 연속운전을 통하여 기본 내구평가를 완료하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 대형 공조기기에서 냉매의 회수시간을 단축하기 위해 진공과 가압방식을 겸용하면서 작업 시 이동이 손쉽게 소형으로 회수 및 충전이 가능할 수 있는 냉매 회수 및 충전 전용기 개발을 하고자 한다. 냉매회수시스템의 작업과정은 냉매회수 장치와 냉동기의 증발기 하부에 충진용 밸브를 호스로 연결하고 진공펌프를 운전하여 저장 탱크 내에 부착된 압력계가 진공상태가 될 때까지 액냉매를 회수 한 후, 자체적으로 증발, 흡입, 액화시켜 탱크내의 온도와 압력을 낮추어 액화된 냉매를 저장탱크로 회수하는 장치로 구성되어 있다.

  • This study aims to analyze the effects of design parameters of the slotted cooling liner for air-breathing propulsion system. The three kinds of design parameters of the slotted cooling liner were selected and were investigated effect on the cooling performance of the slotted cooling liner. In this paper calculation results for inner wall temperature of cooling liner from heat transfer calculations were presented.
