A Two-Dimensional Numerical Analysis of the Unstart Process in an Inlet/Isolator Model (흡입구/격리부 모델의 Unstart 과정 2차원 수치 해석)

  • In this study, the Inlet/Isolator model experiments performed at Texas University were performed by 2-dimensional RANS computerized analysis. First, supersonic flow conditions were analyzed and compared with experimental surface pressure results, and the flow structure was analyzed by confirming Mach number distribution and numerical shadowgraph. Then, the inlet unstart condition was given by changing the back pressure, and the URANS analysis was performed to confirm the progress of inlet unstart.

Combustion and Performance Efficiency of Boron Carbide Fuel in Solid Fuel Ramjet (고체 램제트 추진기관에서 보론 카바이드 연료의 연소, 성능 특성)

  • An experimental investigation was conducted to investigate the effects of the equivalence ratio and air mass flux on the combustion efficiency in a solid fuel ramjet used fuel grains which were highly loaded with boron carbide. Combustion efficiency increased with increasing equivalence ratio (grain length), and decreasing air mass flux. Higher inlet air temperature produced higher combustion efficiencies, apparently the result of enhanced combustion of the larger boron particles those burn in a diffusion controlled regime. Short grains which considered primarily of the recirculation region produced larger particles and lower combustion efficiencies. The result of the normalized combustion efficiency increased with inlet air temperatures coincident with the result of the Brayton cycle thermal and the total efficiency relating to the heat input.

Investigation of Oswatitsch Scheme for Maximum Total Pressure Recovery of Hypersonic Wedge-type Intakes (극초음속 쐐기형 흡입구의 최대 전압력 회복률을 위한 오스와치 기법 분석)

  • In order to improve the performance of the air breathing engines, it is important to maximize the total pressure recovery through air intake. In this study, we investigated whether the Oswatitsch method, which guarantees the maximum pressure recovery for supersonic intake, is effective at hypersonic speed by compressing the intake air with the same intensity at each ramp. The non-linearity of the shock wave normal Mach number at each ramp stage was analyzed by comparing the compression ramp angle and the number of ramp to the inflow Mach number in terms of compressible thermodynamics and the operation limits of the inlet. Based on this analysis, the Oswaitisch technique yields valid conditions not only in supersonic but also hypersonic flight regime.

Effects of the Aroma Inhalation Method with a Roll-on on Life Stress, Salivary Cortisol and Fatigue in Nursing Student (아로마 롤온흡입법이 간호대학생의 생활 스트레스, 타액 코티졸 및 피로에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of aroma inhalation method with roll-on on life stress, salivary cortisol and fatigue in nursing student preparing national examination for nursing licensure. Methods: The study was a nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. The participants were 46 nursing students of which 21 were assigned to the experimental group and 25 to the control group. Data was collected from October 10 to November 21, 2011 and analyzed using the SPSS Win 18.0 version program. The intervention was conducted 3 times a day for 6 weeks. Results: Significant differences in reported life stress experience frequency and fatigue between the two groups. On the other hand, the issue of salivary cortisol and life stress importance rate was not significant. Conclusion: Aroma inhalation method with roll-on can be used as an effective intervention to decrease life stress experience frequency and fatigue of nursing students with national examination for nursing licensure.

  • This paper searched through mixture ratio response test whether exert effect that is some in part load performance of engine according to inlet valve angle in gasoline engine. Engines that inlet valve angle is narrow decreased quantity of NOx among exhaust gas than engine that inlet valve angle is wide, and ignition timing was retard, and fuel consumption improved a little. That quantity of NOx among exhaust gas decreases and ignition timing was retard can judge that fast burning occurred. Fast burning can decrease output decline and misfire that can happen at lean burning. Can be judged by thing which engine's combustion performance improves if inlet valve angle is narrow if examine test result.

  • A series of water tests of a Lox pump for liquid rocket engines are performed at a room temperature. According to the hydraulic test results, the head coefficient is slightly decreased when the rotational speed of the pump is increased. However the efficiency is high at the high-speed test. Also, according to the cavitation test results, the cavitation performance of the pump is found to be decreased when the flow ratio is less than 92%. Furthermore, the vibration characteristic is analyzed using measured high frequency data.

  • Unsteady numerical analysis of an entire supersonic propulsion system from intake to nozzle was performed to study dynamic interaction between terminal shock in the intake and flame in the combustor. Both acceleration and cruise flight-modes were considered. Acoustic mode of the entire engine for both flight-modes were investigated by detail analysis of pressure fluctuation at each location of engine.

  • 내연기관 연구에 전념하는 모든 사람들의 한결같은 3대 염원은 연비향상, 비출력증대 및 유해 배기가스 성분 감소이다. 이중 비과급 가솔린 기관의 경우 비출력 증대를 위한 4-stroke cycle 엔진에서의 여구는 현지까지 헤아릴 수 없이 많은 연구가 진행되어 발전의 한계에 도달한 느낌 이다. 따라서 이의 실질적인 증대는 시각을 달리하여 2-stroke cycle로의 전환으로서만 가능하리 라 본다. 2-stroke 엔진은 원래 이목적으로 고안된 것이라는 것은 주지의 사실이다. 그러나 이 장치가 비출력면에서 효과적인 가솔린엔진의 경우에서도 현재까지 별로 각광을 받지 못한 것은 다음과 같은 몇가지 두드러진 이유 때문이라고 본다. 첫째 흡입연료의 일부가 소기(scavenging) 과정에서 배기공으로 곧바로 유출됨으로 배기 공해성분을 증가시키고 연료손실에 따른 연비저감 을 초래하는 것이다. 둘째로 crankcase 소기를 이용하는 소형가솔린 2-stroke 엔진에서는 새 공 기의 흡입이 충분치 못하여 일방적으로 높지 않은 소기효율을 고려한 최종 흡입 체적효율은 상당 히 낮아지게 됨으로써 목적하는바의 비출력 증대의 득을 별로 얻지 못함은 물론 잔류가스율이 높아 저부하, 저속도에서 엔진의 구동이 손조롭지 못ㅎ하고 시동이 어려워지는 특성을 나타나게 된다. 따라서 이러한 바람직하지 못한 결과를 감수할 수 있는 경우에는 소형원동기에 주로 2-stroke 가솔린 엔진이 이용되어 왔다. 요사이 이러한 약점들을 타개할 수 있는 고안들이 미국 SAE지에 소개되어 관심을 끌고 있어 이에 대해 요저먹으로 소개하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 포하수 혹은 팽창기를 열매체로한 스크루우팽창기의 회전자회 전각에 의한 회전자간체적변화, 흡입구의 면적변화, 팽창기내에서의 누설통로에서의 임계등의 기하학적 특성과 흡입구와 누설통로에서의 임계유속을 고헌한 해석프로그램 을 개발하여 회전자회전수 흡입열매체의 건도, 흡입.토출압력비 그리고 팽창기내부에 서의 누설등의 효과에 대한 해석을 행하여 스크루우 팽창기의 동력발생기로서의 실용 성을 검토하였다.
