Implementation of a Car Rearview Camera System based on the Binary-CDMA Wireless Personal Area Network Technology (Binary CDMA 개인용 무선통신 기반의 자동차 후방카메라 시스템의 구현)

  • Car rear-view camera system supplies services for safe driving and easy parking by showing the rear-view of the vehicle through a monitor when reversing the car. In this paper we researched implementation methods and technology of a Car Rear-view Camera System based on the Binary CDMA technology-new technology of wireless personal area network developed by Korea - that makes free installation without wired cables restriction and reduces installation costs. Through this research we manufactured a prototype system, and researched the implementation of camera input and monitor output modules, Binary CDMA wireless communication and application programs for wireless video transmitter and relay server.

  • 본 논문은 저비용이면서 정확한 제어를 수행하는 새로운 퍼지 제어기의 VHDL 설계 및 FPGA 구현을 자동적으로 수행하는 통합 개발 환경(IDE : Integrated Development Environment)을 다룬다. 이를 위해 FLC의 자동 설계 및 구현의 전 과정을 하나의 환경 내에서 개발 가능하게 하는 퍼지 제어기 자동 설계 및 구현 시스템 (FLC Automatic Design and Implementation Station :FADIS)을 개발하였는데 이 시스템은 다음 기능을 포함한다. (1) 원하는 퍼지 제어기의 설계 파라메터를 입력받아 이로부터 FLC를 구성하는 각 모듈의 VHDL 코드를 자동적으로 생성한다. (2) 생성된 각 모듈의 VHDL 코드가 원하는 동작을 수행하는지를 Synopsys사의 VHDL Simulator상에서 시뮬레이션을 수행한다. (3) Synopsys사의 FPGA Compiler에 의해 VHDL 코드를 합성하여 FLC의 각 구성 모듈을 얻는다. (4) 합성된 모듈은 Xilinx사의 XactSTep 6.0에 의해 최적화 및 배치, 배선이 이루어진다. (5) 얻어진 Xilinx rawbit 파일은 VCC사의 r2h에 의해 C 언어의 header 파일 형태의 하드웨어 object로 변환된다. (6) 하드웨어 object를 포함하는 응용 제어 프로그램의 실행 파일을 재구성 \ulcorner 능한 FPGA 시스템 상에 다운로드한다. (7) 구현된 FLC의 동작 과정은 구현된 FLC와 제어 target 사이의 상호 통신에 의해 모니터링한다. 트럭 후진 주차 제어에 사용하는 퍼지 제어기 설계 및 구현의 전 과정을 FADIS상에서 수행하여 FADIS가 완전하게 동작하는지를 확인하였다.

A Cost-Effective and Accurate COA Defuzzifier Without Multipliers and Dividers (승산기 및 제산기 없는 저비용 고정밀 COA 비퍼지화기)

  • This paper proposes an accurate and cost-effective COA defuzzifier of fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The accuracy of the proposed COA defuzzifier is obtained by involving both membership values and spans of membership functions in calculating a crisp value. The cost-effectiveness of the proposed COA defuzzifier is obtained by replacing the division in the COA defuzzifier by finding an equilibrium point of both the left and right moments. The proposed COA defuzzifier has two disadvantages that it ncreases the hardware complexity due to the additional multipliers and it takes a lot of computation time to find the moment equilibrium point. The first disadvantage is overcome by replacing the multipliers with the stochastic AND operations. The second disadvantage is alleviated by using a coarse-to-fine searching algorithm that accelerates the finding of moment equilibrium point. Application of the proposed COA defuzzifier to the truck backer-upper control problem is performed in the VHDL simulation and the control accuracy of the proposed COA defuzzifier is compared with that of the conventional COA defuzzifier in terms of average tracing distance.

  • Cars that are currently available to the operator to ensure convenience and safety for electronics devices now on the market supply is developed. The current car black box of electronics service, parking, is to help when reversing. The black box is necessary at the time of the accident. After-market through a lot of these are advertised. However, these products are known only to the rear or the front of the picture, as well, at the time of driving, the accident and the front left and right lateral images of the boundary of the car can not be confirmed. Electronics devices on the market, but they can not give this problem solving. In this paper, we propose these to the algorithm-around view of the driver's operation of the vehicle after the car sideways, left and right of the room with integrated video Black Box is designed to provide.

  • Rear view cameras which help to park or to drive backward has been distributed through after-market, but it is inconvenient because they do not provide views of left, right and front sides. Around view monitoring(AVM) systems which can monitor around vehicle at a glance have been developed and equipped by vehicle vendor but systematic studies on these systems is lack. While the AVM system which equipped on Infiniti cars of Nissan is adequate to monitor around vehicle at a glance, it has disadvantages that additional cabling because of using analog cables is required and image quality is lowered due to EMI/EMC intervention. The around view monitoring system implemented in this paper has advantages that there are no EMI/EMC problems because of using optical network and that cabling is simple because of using plug-and-play ways. Additionally, an advantage of MOST150 network is that camera nodes and display node can be easily installed in the form of plug-and-play.

  • In this paper, we propose a sensor data sharing system for the safe and smooth operation of autonomous vehicles on two-way single lanes in traffic-isolated areas and implement the core module, the situational awareness technology. Two-way single lanes pose challenges for autonomous vehicles, particularly when encountering parked vehicles or oncoming traffic, leading to reversing issues. We introduce a system using infrastructure cameras to detect vehicles' approach, enter, and leave on twoway single lanes in real-time, transmitting this information to autonomous vehicles via V2N communication, thereby expanding the sensing range of the autonomous vehicles. The core part of the proposed system is the situational awareness of the two-way single lane using infrastructure cameras. In this paper, we implement this using object detection and tracking technology. Finally, we validate the implemented situational awareness technology using data collected from actual two-way single lanes.

FADIS : An Integrated Development Environment for Automatic Design and Implementation of FLC (FADIS : 퍼지제어기의 설계 및 구현 자동화를 위한 통합 개발환경)

  • This paper developes an integrated environment CAD system that can design and implement an accurate and cost-effective FLC automatically. For doing this, an integrated development environment (IDE) (called FADIS; FLC Automatic Design and Implementation Station) is built by the seemless coupling of many existing. CAD tools in an attempt to the FADIS performs various functions such that (1) i~utomatically generate the VHDL components appropriate for the proposed FLC architecture from the various design parameters (2) simulate the generated VHDL code on the Synopsys's VHDL Simulator, (3) automatically compiler, (4) generate the optimized, placed, and routed rawbit files from the synthesized modules by Xilinx's XactStep 6.0, (5) translate the rawbit files into the downloadable ex- [:cution reconfigurable FPGA board (VCC's EVCI), and (7) continuously monitor the control status graphically by communicating the FLC with the controlled target via S-bus. The developed FADIS is tested for its validity by carrying out the overall procedures of designing and implementing the FLC required for the truck-backer upper control, the reduction of control execution time due to the controller's FPGA implementation is verified by comparing with other implementations.

  • This paper presents a methodology on the backward path tracking control of a trailer type robot which consists of two parts: a tractor and a trailer. It is difficult to control the motion of a trailer vehicle since its dynamics is non-holonomic. Therefore, in this paper, the modeling and parameter estimation of the system using a real-coded genetic algorithm(RCGA) is proposed and a backward path tracking control algorithm is then obtained based on the linearized model. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
