This study was conducted to provide for the development of psychological interventions through meta-analysis of the effects of psychological intervention for pain reduction in patients with osteoarthritis. R version 3.5.1 program was used to identify the effectiveness of psychological mediating by December 30, 2018, while the Korean and foreign literature published by PubMed, EMBASE, Ovid-MEDLINE, CINAHL, and Korean databases were searched. As a result, 12 studies with a total of 1,847 participants were analyzed in a total of 1,822 literature. The results showed that the overall effect size of psychological intervention for pain reduction in osteoarthritis patients was small effect -0.31(95% CI: -0.50, -0.11, p<.001). In the moderator analysis, the effect size showed a significant difference depending on the intervention type, intervention duration and the intervention provider. The funnel plot analysis was used to analyze the publication bias, and it was visually asymmetric but not asymmetric after the egger's regression test (bias = -3.24, p = .077). The results of this study suggest a standard of efficacy for psychological interventions to improve pain symptoms, which is a major symptom of osteoarthritis, although the number of studies included in the meta-analysis is low and has provided a clinical basis during intervention and intervention providers.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of simultaneous dual-task training to assess executive function in older adults. Methods : We searched the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane, Web of Science, and RISS databases of publicated studies in the past decade. Seven studies were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Qualitative assessment and meta-analysis were performed for the seven studies. Results : A randomized controlled trial design was used in the selected studies, and PEDro Scores above seven were obtained. The Trial Making Test (TMT) evaluated the effects of dual-task training on executive function in four studies. The Color Trail Test (CTT) was used in two studies, and Stroop test was used in three studies. The effect size for total executive function was 0.38, which was small. The effect sizes for TMT and CTT were 0.37. Stroop Test was 0.34, demonstrating that their effect sizes were also small. Only significant effects in total executive function, TMT, and CTT showed significant effects (all p<0.05). Conclusion : This study confirmed that dual-task training was effective in improving executive function in older adults. To improve the effectiveness of dual-task training, the difficulty of the dual-task training should be considered. It is also necessary to implement assessments that can evaluate performance under dual-task conditions as well as conventional test tools for executive function. In the future, dual-task training could be used as an appropriate intervention for executive function in older adults to delay the onset of dementia.
The purpose of this study was to analyze and evaluate music intervention research conducted with high-risk neonates in NICUs in both domestic and international settings. Seventeen music intervention studies were identified, and their characteristics, including type of music, music provider, and treatment frequency, and outcomes (i.e., neonatal vital signs) were reviewed and analyzed along with meta-analysis. For music interventions targeting high-risk neonates in NICUs, the effect sizes of the neonates' vital signs were classified as either medium or large. In addition, larger effect sizes were associated with a combination of live and recorded music, nonmusical therapists as the music providers, and treatment frequency of one to five sessions per week. These research findings verify the clinical value of music for high-risk neonates and provide insights into the selection of music elements, music delivery methods, and music providers in NICU music interventions.
The purpose of this study was to meta-analyze the stress intervention program applied to patients with hemodialysis in Korea to confirm the effectiveness of the stress intervention program and to identify the characteristics and trends of the stress intervention method. A total of 10 studies were selected, and Quality Assessment tool was used MINORS and the data was analyzed using Comprehensive Meta Analysis Version 3.0 and Review manager version 5.3 The Quality Assessment score of studies was 21.2 points, and the effect size on the psychological stress was medium(g=-.72), and the effect size on cortisol of the physiological stress was also medium(g=-.52). Subgroup analysis showed that Music therapy and aromatherapy, individual providing, over 60 minutes per session and total of 10-20 times were more effectively reduced stress. Findings of this meta-analysis would be helpful for health professionals to provide more effective stress intervention program. Further randomized controlled trials of stress intervention program for patients with hemodialysis are more needed.

The purpose of this study has been found to be effective using web-based instruction than traditional teaching-learning method on academic achievement applying the meta-analysis method. The results of this study were as follows: First, The 85% subject of analysis of web-based instruction selected in this study turned out to be clear effective than traditional teaching-learning method in academic achievement of students. Second, Web-based instruction is more effective for academic achievement of elementary school students and university students than for middle school students and high school students relatively. Third, Web-based instruction is a most effective method in social subject and physical education but less effective in language subject. The overall results of this study concluded more powerful and big decisions which have integrated each different effects on academic achievement of studies web-based instruction method applying meta-analysis. Through this study, make better results were obtained and suggested the base line data and direction for follow up studies.
The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of laughter therapy on healthy life of human through meta-analysis of literature. Based on domestic and foreign academic databases, 495 foreign and 199 domestic literature were reviewed focusing on "quality of life," as the ultimate goal of health. The final seven literature were extracted. Analyses was performed in R version 3.5.1. Significant differences (SMD=0.23, p<0.01) were shown in the pre-post comparisons of experimental groups using the mean difference (effects size) analysis of the extracted samples. Significant results were not shown in meta regression analyses setting explanatory variables as 'treatment sessions and durations' and outcome variables as 'treatment effects of laughter therapy'. This study is meaningful in comparative analyses of pre-post experimental groups to establish 'laughter therapy' has a significant effect on improving 'quality of life' and is a useful intervention method, especially for older people, and older women with depression.

It is important to secure patient healthcare information in medical institutions. Education can enhance healthcare information security practice. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect size of the correlation between healthcare information security education and healthcare information security practice in medical institutions. Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis were used for this study. Data were collected from January 1, 2010 to July 31, 2019 through DBpia, RISS, NDSL. Four studies were eligible for inclusion in the analysis. Data were analyzed with R. The results of the Meta-Analysis demonstrated statistically significant large effect size of correlation with education and practice. Based on the results of this study, we will be able to understand the importance of healthcare information security education in medical institutions and use them as a basis for developing healthcare information security education programs.
This study was conducted to determine the effects of non-climatic environmental factors on performances and behavioural patterns of growing pigs. Two hundred and seventy growing pigs were confined and administered with three levels of spaces per pig(0.33, 0.44 and 0.66$m^2$) and three different numbers of pigs per pen(12, 15 and 18 pigs) from 30kg to 60kg body weight. This study was designed by using 3 $\times$ 3 factorial arrangement(three levels of spaces $\times$ three different numbers of pigs) and investigated the effects of main factors and the relationship between each factors. The result of this study were summarized as follows; 1. The 0.44$m^2$ of floor space per pig improved(p<0.01) the weight gain and the feed/gain during the growing phase. 2. The 15 pigs per pen showed the faster gain and improved feed/gain than the 12 or 18 pigs per pen during the growing phase(p<0.05). 3. The reduction of floor space of growing pigs caused the reduction of resting, non-aggressive social behaviour but eating, aggressive behaviour was increased(p<0.01). 4. Group size affected the behavioural patterns significantly(p<0.01) of growing pigs. The aggressive and eating behaviour increased but resting behaviour decreased by crowding in the growing pigs. 5. Therefore we concluded that growing pigs need 0.44$m^2$ per pig and 15 pigs per pen for the better raising condition.

The strength of particle-reinforced metal matrix composites is, in general, known to be increased by the geometrically necessary dislocations punched around a particle that form during cooling after consolidation because of coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch between the particle and the matrix. An additional strength increase may also be observed, since another type of geometrically necessary dislocation can be formed during extensive deformation as a result of the strain gradient plasticity due to the elastic-plastic mismatch between the particle and the matrix. In this paper, the magnitudes of these two types of dislocations are calculated based on the dislocation plasticity. The dislocations are then converted to the respective strengths and allocated hierarchically to the matrix around the particle in the axisymmetric finite-element unit cell model. The proposed method is shown to be very effective by performing finite-element strength analysis of $SiC_p$/Al2124-T4 composites that included ductile failure in the matrix and particlematrix decohesion. The predicted results for different particle sizes and volume fractions show that the length scale effect of the particle size obviously affects the strength and failure behavior of the particle-reinforced metal matrix composites.

Block-wise MAP (Maximum A posteriori) decoding algorithm for turbo-codes requires less memory than Log-MAP decoding algorithm. The ER (Bit Error Rate) performance of previous block-wise MAP decoding algorithm depend on the block length and training length. To maximize hardware utilization and perform successive decoding, the block length is set to be equal to the training length in previous MAP decoding algorithms. Simulation result on the BER performance shows that the EBR performance can be maintained with shorter blocks when training length is sufficient. This paper proposes an architecture for area efficient block-wise MAP decoder. The proposed architecture employs the decoding schema for reducing memory by using the training length, which in N times larger than block length. To efficiently handle the proposed schema, a pipelined architecture is proposed. Simulation results show that memory usage can be reduced by 30%~45% in the proposed architecture without degrading the BER performance.
