DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSVERSE STRENGTH MONITORING SYSTEM FOR LOADOUT, TOWING AND FLOATOFF OPERATION

  • 종강도 위주의 일반 상선의 LMC 의 경우는 단지 선박을 l 차원 Beam Model 로 단순화하여 선미로부터 선수까지의 Weight Distribution 과 Buoyancy Distribution 을 계산하여 두 값의 차이를 Shear Force 로 계산하고 Shear Force 적분값을 Bending Moment 로 계산한다. 횡강도가 중요시되는 Barge 선의 경우 Global Transverse Strength 같은 경우에는 위의 식을 적용할 수 있으나 복수의 바지선을 Hinge Type 이 아닌 Fixed Type 으로 고정시켜 사용할 경우 각각의 Connector 에 작용하는 Strength 값이 횡강도의 큰 비중을 차지한다. 일반적인 Load Master Computer 의 경우 이와 같은 계산이 불가능하며 NAPA 와 같은 전용 계산 프로그램의 경우 하나의 Condition 을 계산하는데 소요되는 시간이 많아 실질적인 Monitoring 은 불가능하다. 이에 특수목적의 Load Master Computer(ShipManager-88) 를 제작하게 되었고 이 Program 을 이용하여 Loadout 과 Floatoff 의 Simulation 을 수행하고 Monitoring 하였다. ShipManager-88 은 Barge 선의 종강도 횡강도, Stability, Trim & Draft 등을 계산하며 Sequence 기능으로 실제 LOADOUT 과 FLOATOFF 시의 모의시뮬레이션을 수행해 볼 수 있으며 Online Interlace 제공으로 Tank 에 설치된 센서에서 Level 값을 받아 실시간으로 현재 선박의 상태를 정확하게 계산할 수 있다. 실제 LOADOUT and FLOATOFF 를 수행하면서 Check 한 부분은 종강도, 횡강모 Stability, Deform, Connector Strength, Level 등을 Check 하였고 종방향의 LOADOUT 이 불가능한 Project 를 위해 Transverse LOADOUT 을 이용할 계획이다.

  • 횡방향으로 구속된 콘크리트의 응력-변형률 거동은 구속되지 않은 콘크리트와는 다른 거동을 한다. 보통강도 콘크리트에서 구속효과를 고려한 콘크리트 재료모델로는 Mander 모델이 대표적이며 고강도 콘크리트의 구속효과의 경우 여러 연구자들에 의하여 제안된 모델 중 공시체 수준의 실험결과와 잘 일치하는 Sakino-Sun 모델을 사용하였다. 보통강도에서는 Mander모델을 고강도 콘크리트에서는 Sakino-Sun 모델을 사용하였으나 중간 강도인 30-40MPa의 강도에서 Mander 모델과 Sakino-Sun 모델의 적용시 실험결과와 해석결과가 다소 차이를 보이며 또한 두 모델은 적용할 수 있는 최대 또는 최소 콘크리트 압축강도의 한계범위가 명확하지 않다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 30-40MPa의 강도의 횡방향으로 구속된 콘크리트의 비선형 재료모델을 제안하고 실제 30-40MPa의 압축강도를 갖는 콘크리트 공시체의 일축압축시험 결과와의 비교를 통해 그 적용성을 검토하였다.

Study on the Lateral Dynamic Crush Strength of a Spacer Grid Assembly for a LWR Nuclear Fuel Assembly (경수로 핵연료집합체 지지격자체의 횡방향 충격강도 연구)

  • A spacer grid assembly is one of the most important structural components in a Light Water Reactor(LWR) nuclear fuel assembly. In the case of the Zircaloy spacer grid assembly, the primary design consideration is to ensure that lateral dynamic crush strength of the spacer grid assembly is sufficient to resist design basis loads and thereby prevent seismic accidents, without a significant increase in the hydraulic head loss for the reactor coolant in the reactor core. In this study, factors affecting the lateral dynamic crush strength of a spacer grid assembly were analyzed by performing lateral dynamic crush tests and finite element analyses. Further, an effective and economical method to enhance the lateral dynamic crush strength of the spacer grid assembly is proposed.

The Effects of Coupling Beam on Lateral Drift of High-rise Buildings (고층건물의 횡변위에 대한 커플링보의 효과)

  • The effects of coupling beam, which is generally used in high-rise building structure system as shear wall-coupling beam, on the lateral drift of high-rise buildings are studied in this paper. Six different analytical models, which are combination of two inputs, such as concrete strength and wall thickness, are selected and analyzed on lateral drifts with different stiffness of coupling beams. MIDAS GEN was used for analysis. Calculated lateral drifts were compared with allowable limits(H/400~H/500) proposed by standard CEN EC 3/1, in order to analyze the control evaluation of coupling beams. Calculated x-direction displacements were 68~87 percent of allowable limit(H/500). With increase of wall thickness(100mm) and concrete strength(5Mpa), eight to ten percent and four percent of x and y-direction displacement were decreased individually. About three percent of lateral displacement was increased with 20 percent decrease of coupling beam stiffness and additional 20 percent decrease resulted in additional five to eight percent increase.

  • 콘크리트의 인성개선을 위하여 횡보강근을 사용할 수 있으나 보통강도으 철근ㅇ르 사용하였을 경우에는 조속한 철근의 강상으로 인한 콘크리트으 인성개선효과가 급격히 떨어지기 때문에 고강도 횡보강도에 의한 압축인성 개선효과를 이론 및 실험으로 고찰하였다. 실험결과 각 공시체의 변형능력을 비교해 보면 보통강도근의 경우 콘크리트 응력블록계수가 최대일 때 콘크리트의 압축단 변형도가 1%내외인데 비하여 고강도근으로 횡보강하였을 경우가 콘크리트의 압축변형도는 2%로서 충분한 휨압축 인성개선용으로 콘크리트의 충분한 인성개선이 가능하다고 볼 수 있다.

Seismic Behavior of High-Strength Reinforced Concrete Bridge Columns (고강도 철근콘크리트 교각의 내진 거동)

  • This experimental investigation was conducted to examine the seismic performance of reinforced concrete bridge columns. The columns were subjected to a constant axial load and a cyclic horizontal load-inducing reversed bending moment. The variables studied in this research were the volumetric ratios of transverse reinforcement (ps=0.96, 1.44 percent) and axial load ratios (P/Po=0.05, 0.1, 0.2) and concrete strengths (35, 60MPa). Test results showed that bridge columns with $44\%$ higher amounts of transverse reinforcement than that required by seismic provisions of ACI 318-02 showed ductile behavior. For bridge columns with axial load ratio(P/Po) less than 0.2, the ratio of $M_{max}\;over\;M_{ACI}$, nominal moment capacity predicted by ACI 318-02 provisions, was consistently greater than 1 with approximately a $20\%$ margin of safety.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 연구를 토대로 하여 비탄성 구간에 있는 계단식 I형보의 횡-비틀림 좌굴강도를 범용구조해석 프로그램 ABAQUS(2006)를 이용하여 산정하고, 간편한 설계식을 제안하고 있다. 본 연구 결과는 다양한 형식의 I형보가 사용되는 빌딩 및 교량의 경제적이고 합리적인 설계의 근간을 제공해 줄 것이며, 향후 다양한 하중 조건을 가지는 양단 또는 일단 계단식 단면 변화보의 비탄성 횡-비틀림 좌굴강도를 계산할 수 있는 설계식 개발에 적극 활용 될 수 있을 것이다.

Seismic Performance and Flexural Over-strength of Circular RC Column (원형 RC 기둥의 내진성능과 휨 초과강도)

  • Eight small scale circular reinforced concrete columns were tested under cyclic lateral load with constant axial load. Test specimens were designed with 4.5 aspect ratio. The selected test variables are longitudinal steel ratio, transverse steel ratio, yielding strength of longitudinal steel and axial load ratio. The test results of columns with different longitudinal steel ratio, transverse steel ratio and axial load ratio showed different seismic performance such as equivalent damping ratio, residual displacement and effective stiffness. It was found that the column with low strength of longitudinal steel showed significantly reduced seismic performance, especially for equivalent damping ratio and residual displacement. The regulation of flexural over-strength is adopted by Korea Bridge Design Specifications (Limited state design, 2012). The test results are compared with nominal strength, result of nonlinear moment-curvature analysis and the design specifications such as AASHTO LRFD and Korea Bridge Design Specifications (Limited state design).

Strength Characteristics of Square Concrete Column Confined by Carbon Composite Tube (탄소섬유튜브로 횡구속된 각형 콘크리트 기둥의 압축강도 성능에 관한 연구)

  • The carbon composite tube can play an important role in replacing or complementing longitudinal and transverse reinforcing steels by providing ductility and strength for conventional columns. In this study, both the experimental and analytical investigations of axial behavior of large-scale square concrete columns confined by carbon composite tube are presented. The specimens are filament-wound carbon composite with 90$^{\circ}$+30$^{\circ}$, 90$^{\circ}$+45$^{\circ}$ winding angle respect to longitudinal axis of tube. The instrumented large-scale concrete-filled composite tubes(CFCT) are subjected to monotonic axial loads exerted by 10,000kN UTM. The influence of winding angle, thickness of tube on stress-strain relationships of the confined columns is identified and discussed. Proposed equations to predict both the strength and ductility of confined columns by carbon composite tube demonstrate good correlation with test data obtained from large-scale specimens.

Evaluation of Bond Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beams with High-Strength Transverse Reinforcement (고강도 횡보강근을 사용한 철근콘크리트 보의 부착 거동 평가)

  • This paper investigates the bond behavior of reinforced concrete beams having high-strength transverse reinforcement. A total of four reinforced concrete beams were tested in this study to estimate the bond capacity of the proposed U-shape reinforcement. The proposed U-shape reinforcement not only has a simple structure to install, but also can increase the bond capacity of reinforced concrete beams by controling bond cracks. This study follow the test method proposed by Ichinose to obtain the bond stress and the bond slip of the specimens. The main test parameters were the yield strength, ratio, and reinforcing types of transverse reinforcements. It was found that the proposed U-shape reinforcement was able to effectively improve the bond performance of reinforced concrete beams with high-strength transverse reinforcement.
