  • 차량 전 후방의 센서 감지 기법은 주행 중 차량 충돌을 예측하고 이를 운전자에게 알려줌으로써 사고를 예방하는 시스템이다. 안전운행을 위한 센서의 감지 기법과 센서 알고리즘에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있으며 특히 센서 감지 효과가 매우 중요한 과제중의 하나이다. 본 연구는 이러한 센서 감지 효과에 관심을 가져 초음파 센서 회전을 이용한 센서 감지 정보 분석을 통하여 감지 효율성을 높이고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 초음파 센서 배치와 회전 실험의 결과를 통해 안전운전을 위한 센서의 배치와 회전정도를 제안한다.

MO Studies on the Conformational Stabilities and the Rotational Barriers about C-N Bond in Amides (Amide류에서 형태안정화와 C-N결합의 회전장벽에 관한 분자궤도론적 연구)

  • The MNDO calculations were performed on the various rotamers of N-methyl formamide, N,N-dimethyl formamide, N-methyl acetamide, and N,N-dimethylacetamide in order to investigate the contribution of the one-electron and the steric effect on their rotational barriers about the C-N bond. Results show that while the conformational stabilities of formamides depend mainly on the one-electron factor, those of acetamides depend mainly on the steric factor. According to results obtained by calculations on the rotational barriers about C-N bond, for N-monosubstituted amides the steric effect is larger in the rotational ground state than in the transition state and for N,N-disubstituted amides the steric effect is larger in the rotational transition state.

  • Performance variation of autorotating rotor was investigated. The shaft angle of the rotor is reduced while the flight velocity is increased. The BO-105 helicopter rotor blade was replaced by untwisted NACA 0012 airfoil and the rotor was simulated by using Transient Simulation Method(TSM) to judge the autorotation region for the variables. To simulate the compressibility effect at high speed flight, two-dimensional aerodynamic data was analyzed by compressible Navier-Stokes solver and Pitt/Peters inflow theory was adopted to simulate the induced velocity field. Thrust and lift coefficients, lift to drag ratio variations were investigated, also the lift and power were compared to those of BO-105 helicopter. Sharing lift and power between the autorotating rotor and wing was considered when the compound aircraft concept is introduced.

  • 본 연구에서는 고속의 원심압축기에서 스톨 발단에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 스톨을 일으키는 요인과, 스톨이 발생하기 전에 이를 미리 경고할 수 있는 방법을 주된 연구 주제로 삼았다. 원주방향으로 균일하게 분포된 8개의 고속응답 압력변환기를 사용하여 순간압력을 측정하였으며, 이 신호를 공간 푸리에 변환(space Fourier transform)을 사용하여 스톨의 발단을 알리는 신호를 측정하였고, 회전하는 파의 에너지(Traveling Wave Energy) 방법을 사용하여 스톨을 미리 경고하는 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 회전하는 파의 에너지 방법은 스톨을 경고하는 데 좋은 성능을 보였으며, 저속에서는 약 임펠러 100회전, 중간속도에서는 약 200회전, 그리고 고속에서는 약 임펠러 1000회전의 경고시간을 보였다. 그리고 스톨 발단 근처에서 공간 푸리에 계수의 위상이 임펠러 주파수의 속도로 선형적인 증가를 보이는 구간이 나타났으며, 또한 임펠러 주파수의 스펙트럼이 스톨로 접근하면서 증가하는 것으로부터, 임펠러 주파수가 스톨을 일으키는 중요한 요인으로 작용함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 임펠러의 회전속도에 관계없이 스톨로 접근하면서 임펠러 주파수의 스펙트럼이 증가하므로, 이 값이 스톨을 경고하는 방법으로 사용될 수 있음을 보였으며, 약 임펠러 2n회전의 경고시간을 얻을 수 있었고, 임펠러의 속도가 빠를수록 긴 경고시간을 얻었다. 이 방법의 개발로 하나의 센서의 측정만으로도 효과적으로 스톨을 경고할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다.

  • The turbulent flow in the rotor-stator mixer is based on shear characteristics generated by the interaction of the stator with the rotor rotating at high speed. In this study, the flow characteristics analysis of the unsteady state generated by the interaction of the rotor and the stator in the prototype model of the emulsion-fuel related mixer development was performed with the MRF and SMM by applying the ANSYS FLUENT $k-{\varepsilon}$ (RKE) turbulence model. The behavior and shear characteristics of the flow particles generated at the interface between the designed rotor and stator, and trends such as velocity distribution and turbulence eddy dissipation, were predicted and verified using the CFD analysis.

An Experimental Study on Magnus Characteristics of a Spinning Projectile at High Speed Region (회전발사체 마그너스 특성에 관한 고속 유동장 실험연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to determine the dynamic Magnus effect data of a spinning projectile in wind-tunnel testing. In the present work, the high-speed wind-tunnel tests for the Magnus effect measurements were conducted on a 155-mm spin-stabilized projectile model in the Agency for Defense Development's Tri-Sonic Wind Tunnel at spin rates about 12,000 rpm. The test Mach numbers ranged from 0.7 to 2.0, and the angles of attack ranged from -4 to +10 deg. The validity of the wind-tunnel measurement techniques was evaluated by comparing them with the previous test results on the same configuration. The experimental results show that fair to good agreement is obtained with resonable accuracy.

Precise Measurement of Ultra Small Retardation of Rubbed Polyimide Alignment Layer Using an Improved Transmission Ellipsometer (개선된 투과형 타원계를 사용한 러빙된 Polyimide 배향막의 초미세 위상지연 정밀 측정)

  • The precision of retardation measurement has been improved upto $3{\sigma}$ <0.005 nm after improvements are made to the conventional transmission ellipsometer. Improvements are made such that, i) the polarizer module instead of the sample stage is rotated, ii) the light source is replaced, iii) the starting points of two rotating modules are accurately synchronized, and iv) the fine background retardation is compensated. Together with the newly introduced RVD (Retardation Vector Difference) method, the improved instrument is successfully applied to characterize the ultra small optical birefringence of the rubbed polyimide alignment layer, after the residual retardation due to glass substrate whose magnitude is about 1.0 nm is properly subtracted. It is verified that the net retardation of the alignment layer ranges from 0.05 nm to 0.15 nm.

A Study on Dynamic Signal Metering Operation Method for Roundabouts Using VISSIM (VISSIM을 활용한 회전교차로의 동적 신호미터링 운영방안 연구)

  • After installing roundabouts, changes of travel behaviour in the vicinity of roundabouts can cause increasing traffic volumes and unbalanced flow conditions. In that cases, the efficiency of roundabouts as a whole intersections can drop due to the insufficient gap between vehicles in the circulating lanes. The purpose of this study is developing a dynamic signal metering operation method for roundabouts in which a real time Signal Metering operation algorithm is suggested and its performance is tested by using VISSIM COM Interface(Visual Basic Application). The results of the real time Signal Metering operation show that there is a substantial delay improvements when two adjoined approaches are combined together and the flows of metering approach are less than controlling approach. Especially, the total entering flow is around 1,600 vehicle/h gives the delay reduction per vehicle of 70.9~102.2(73.8~77.8%) seconds for four-lane-approach with one-lane roundabouts.

  • 본 연구에서는 절삭공정 중 발생하는 공구의 접촉이탈 현상에 의하여 공작 물의 절삭된 표면중에 한회전 및 그 이전 회전에 절삭된 절삭면의 형상이 현재의 절삭 깊이에 영향을 미치는 다중재생효과(multiple regenerative effect)가 존재하는 선삭 작업에서 공구의 착탈현상을 고려한 비선형채터(nonlinear chatter)를 공작기계의 생 산성의 관점에서 절삭공정의 특성을 고려하여 해석하였으며, 수동제어기의 일종인 임 펙트댐퍼를 절삭공정에 응용하여 절삭작업중에 공작기계의 안정성향상 뿐만 아니라 생 산성의 증가효과를 규명하였다.아울러 댐퍼자체의 설계변수에 따른 채터 억제효과 를 고려하여 최적의 댐퍼를 설계하는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • Precession coefficient is defined by the ratio of the angular rate or rotational angle of the standing wave formed in an elastic resonator with respect to that of the platform. In this paper the precession of a hemispherical resonator due to Coriolis' effect is studied through Rayleigh-Ritz's method and Lagrangian Mechanics when the resonator undergoes Rayleigh's mode deformation. The calculation result was compared with studies by other researchers.
