This study was conducted to examine the relationship between perineal demage, a physiological element that mothers experience immediately after delivery, and postpartum depression. The postpartum depression level of women after delivery was $6.67{\pm}4.34$ points at delivery, $7.41{\pm}4.77$ after 2 weeks, and $7.77{\pm}5.27$ after 6 weeks. The degree of mild postpartum depression increased to 26% after delivery, 33% after 2 weeks, and to 41.4 after 6 weeks. At 2 weeks and 6 weeks postpartum, the feeling of discomfort during walking or sitting caused by perineal incision had a direct correlation with postpartum depression. Therefore, in order to prevent postpartum depression, management of discomfort associated with the perineal incision should be given priority.

Perineal involvement by metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is very rare, and there are only few reports on its radiological findings in the literature. Here, we present a case of a 76-year old female who presented with perineal pain caused by metastatic clear cell RCC. We discuss the radiological changes of the tumor before and after targeted therapy.

Epithelioid sarcoma has been well characterized as a distincitve entity. In the classic form, it occurs in the distal extremities of young adults. However, in the proximal form, it was found mostly in the pelvis, perineum, and genital tract of young to middle-aged adults. Morphologically, the tumor cells had promient epithelioid or rhabdoid features with marked cytologic atypia, and grew in a multinodular pattern. Immunohistochemically, cytokeratin, epithelial membrane antigen, and vimentin were positive in the tumor cells. This reports dealt with 32-year-old male lesion on his perineum. The tumor shows typical features of proximal type epithelioid sarcoma. We also discussed pathological differential diagnosis and prognosis on this particular disease.

A 5-year-old castrated male Chihuahua weighing 1.8 kg was presented for examination of a right perineal swelling. No clinical signs other than the swelling were observed by the owner. Digital palpation to the swelling confirmed right reducible perineal herniation. Dorsal perineal hernia was observed during surgery. A modified internal obturator transposition combined with a modified traditional perineal herniorrhaphy was performed for the perineal hernia repair. Contralateral herniation involving fat was noted a month after surgery. Coexistence of sciatic, dorsal, and caudal perineal hernias was observed during surgery. Aforementioned herniorrhaphy was performed for the perineal hernia repair. The follow-up information was based on physical examination by veterinarian. The owner reported that there was no evidence of complications related to surgery.

A 2-year-old, castrated male domestic short-haired cat was presented with dysuria. The physical and radiographic examinations were revealed the urethral stricture and rectourethral fistula after perineal urethrostomy (PU). A prepubic urethrostomy was performed to resolve these problems. After the treatment, the cat had normal urination and complete wound healing without any complications. This is the first case report on co-occurrence of the urethral stricture and rectourethral fistula after PU in the cat.

Perineal hernia occurs spontaneously in older male dogs after idiopathic weakening of the pelvic diaphragm A 14-year-old uncastrated male shih tzu dog with right-sided perineal swelling was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Konkuk University. He had sign of perineal swelling for three years. Plain radiography documented the extent of rectal and colonic dilation in the herinal sac. During surgery, external anal sphincter muscle, coccygeus muscle and levator am muscle were weakened due to the three years of herniation. Internal obturator muscle transposition method was not enough for large defect, so mesh was applied to reduce the hernial sac. Internal obturator muscle transposition combined with using of polypropylene mesh was successfully performed in this dog.

Anoperineal tuberculosis is a rare extrapulmonary form of the disease and may present as abscess. We report a case of anoperineal tuberculous abscess, which showed low signal intensity on T1-weighted images, high signal intensity on T2-weighted images and diffusion restriction on diffusion weighted images.

An 11 year-old intact female Yorkshire Terrier weighing 3.5 kg was presented with the complain of having a perineal mass, fecal incontinence and tenesmus. Physical examination revealed reducible bilateral ventral perineal mass, enlarged mammary gland and vaginal discharge. Bilateral ventral perineal hernia (BVPH) and pyometra were diagnosed based on the clinical and radiographic findings. Ovariohysterectomy was performed after general anaesthesia to treat pyometra. The BVPH was repaired by herniorrhaphy with semitendinosus muscle transposition along with colopexy and cystopexy. The postoperative radiographs and CT revealed a good correction of the BVPH. The patient showed good activity after 10 days and no complications were observed during a one year follow up period. BVPH can be successfully surgically managed by herniorrhaphy with semitendinosus muscle transposition along with cystopexy and colopexy in the dog.
