Developing English Communicative Ability for Science Gifted Students through Project-based Learning of Publishing English Newspapers (프로젝트 기반 학습의 영자 신문 발간을 통한 과학 영재 학생의 영어 의사소통능력 향상)

  • This study aims to assure the positive influence of publishing English newspapers on improving English communicative ability and explores possibilities of enforcing an explicitly collaborative and independent learning atmosphere through a cooperative project-based publishing process. The project of publishing first KSA English newspapers has completed with a series of processes adopted from project-based learning and teaching strategies. The project involves the initiative process of selecting student editors based on their English abilities and commitment levels followed by planning subjects, themes and materials, distributing tasks and articles, and integrating and editing the outcome. Throughout the whole process volunteers participated independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision. The survey shows that the successfully published English Newspaper resulted in facilitating volunteers' positive self awareness and independent learning attitude as well as improving general English ability. The study discusses possibilities and advantages of publishing newspapers and magazines not for limited language education only, but for integrated project-based learning and teaching with suggestions for further related studies.

  • Software productivity doesn't satisfy the need of service of software users and software quality isn't improved. Moreover, we still have difficulty in software maintenance. As a plan to counteract solving this crisis, the technology that is called CBSE or Componentware is introduced. Componet Based Software Architecture, one of the technologies associated with CBSE, as a structural description of system, describes both the components composed system of and interaction among these components. Software Architecture provides the technology and the methodology of composition among components in the field of CBSE. is accepted one of core technologies. In this thesis, we analyse information necessary for component specification and then proposed that component specificaton activities using formal specification language Z which is verified with the ability of analysis and logicality. The proposed activities are composed of 9 tasks. By presenting specific 11 products, it is also proposed that component specification activities which is the base of CBSD(ComponentBased Software Development) for reusing.

An Analysis of Learning Outcomes and Learning Satisfaction of Project-Based Learning in non-face-to-face Learning Environment (비대면 학습환경에서 프로젝트 기반 학습(Project-Based Learning: PBL) 학습성과 및 만족도 분석)

  • This study is the result of the operation of Project-Based Leaning (PBL) conducted at S Women's University's Teaching and Learning Center. This study investigated the learning outcomes and learning satisfaction of participating learners. The questionnaire for this study consisted of a total of 28 questions on learning strategies (peer learning strategies, critical review strategies, elaboration strategies, super cognitive, and online project activities) and learning satisfaction. For the survey, 300 students (first semester: 210 students, second semester: 90 students) participated in the 2020 project-based learning. As for the pre and post questionnaire results, the average of the post questionnaires of the first and second semesters was higher than pre-questionnaires result. After taking project-based learning in the first and second semesters, the average of learning strategy and learning satisfaction improved. It was confirmed that the project activities are helpful in learning activities and increase participation in class. Based on this, it implies that in-depth PBL research in a non-face-to-face learning environment should be continued.

An Improved SysML-Based Failure Model for Safety Verification By Simulation (시뮬레이션을 통해 안전성 검증을 위한 개선된 SysML 기반 고장 모델)

  • System design errors are more likely to occur in modern systems because of their steadily increasing size and complexity. Failures due to system design errors can cause safety-related accidents in the system, resulting in extensive damage to people and property. Therefore, international standards organizations, such as the U.S. Department of Defense and the International Electrotechnical Commission, have established international safety standards to ensure system safety, and recommend that system design and safety activities should be integrated. Recently, the safety of a system has been verified by modeling through a model-based system design. On the other hand, system design and safety activities have not been integrated because the model for system design and the failure model for safety analysis and verification were developed using different modeling language platforms. Furthermore, studies using UML or SysML-based failure models for deriving safety requirements have shown that these models have limited applicability to safety analysis and verification. To solve this problem, it is essential to extend the existing methods for failure model implementation. First, an improved SysML-based failure model capable of integrating system design and safety verification activities should be produced. Next, this model should help verify whether the safety requirements derived via the failure model are reflected properly in the system design. Therefore, this paper presents the concept and method of developing a SysML-based failure model for an automotive system. In addition, the failure model was simulated to verify the safety of the automotive system. The results show that the improved SysML-based failure model can support the integration of system design and safety verification activities.

  • 하천에서의 분변성대장균은 분변성 오염 정도를 나타내는 지표로서, 이 농도가 높을수록 오염된 하천수와의 접촉을 통한 호흡기, 소화기 및 피부 관련 질병의 발발 확률이 높다고 알려져 있다. 따라서 하천에서의 수영, 수상스키 등과 같은 입수형 친수활동을 할 때, 분변성대장균 농도가 농도 기준 이하인지를 확인하고 이러한 정보를 친수활동에 이용할 필요가 있다. 그러나 분변성대장균의 경우, 현재 자동수질측정망에서 측정되고 있는 다른 수질인자들과는 달리 실시간 측정이 불가능하다고 알려져 있다. 분변성대장균을 측정하는데 있어 최소 18시간 이상이 필요하며, 이러한 분변성대장균 측정 방식은 하천 이용자들이 안전한 친수활동을 영위하는데 있어 적절한 수질 정보를 제공하지 못한다. 그러므로 분변성대장균을 예측하는 모델을 개발하고, 이를 이용하여 실시간 분변성대장균 정보를 생성하여 하천 이용자들에게 제공할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 친수활동이 활발하게 이루어지는 곳 중 하나인 북한강의 대성리 지점에 대해 데이터 기반 모델을 이용하여 분변성대장균을 예측하였다. 데이터 기반 모델은 물리 기반 모델에서 필요한 지형데이터나 비점오염원 등의 초기 오염물의 양에 대한 데이터를 필요로 하지 않고, 대신 독립변수로 사용되는 기상 및 수질데이터를 필요로 한다. 이러한 기상 및 수질데이터는 기존 기상관측소, 수질관측소에서 매일 자동으로 측정되기 때문에 데이터 기반 모델은 물리 기반 모델에 비해 입력데이터를 구성하기가 쉽다는 장점을 지닌다. 이러한 데이터 기반 모델 중 분류 모델은 회귀 모델과 달리 분변성대장균 농도가 일정 수질기준 이상을 넘는지를 바로 예측할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 분류 모델 중 높은 예측력을 가진다고 알려진 랜덤포레스트(random forest) 기법을 이용하여 분변성대장균 예측 모델을 개발하였다. 분변성대장균 예측 모델은 주어진 기상 및 수질 조건에 대해 분변성대장균이 200 CFU/100ml가 넘는지를 예측하였다. 예측된 분변성대장균이 기준을 넘는 경우를 2등급, 넘지 않는 경우를 1등급으로 명명하였다. 모델을 개발하기 위하여 북한강 대성리 인근 측정소에서 2010년부터 2015년까지 측정된 기상 및 수질데이터를 수집하였다. 수집한 데이터를 훈련 및 검증데이터로 샘플링하였으며, 이 때 샘플링한 데이터가 기존 데이터가 가지고 있던 등급별 비율을 유지하기 위하여 층화샘플링을 하였다. 본 연구에서는 샘플링에 의한 불확실성을 줄이기 위하여 랜덤하게 50번 샘플링된 각각의 훈련데이터에 대해 모델을 개발하였다. 50개의 모델의 검증 결과를 종합한 결과, 전체 예측률은 0.139로 나타났다.

A Study on Information Security Policy in the era of Smart Society (스마트시대 정보보호정책에 관한 연구)

  • This study will propose the policy priorities of cyber information security by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) survey. The policy categories for AHP survey consist in the foundation of information security and activity of information security(1st hierarchy). In the second hierarchy, the foundation of information security was classified into laws-system, human resources, h/w-s/w technology and sociocultural awareness. And the activity of information security was divided into infrastructure protection, privacy protection, related industry promotion, and national security. Information policy alternatives were composed of 16 categories in the third hierarchy. According to the AHP result, in the perspective of policy importance, the modification of related laws was the first agenda in the policy priority, better treatment of professionals was the second, and the re-establishment of policy system was the third. In the perspective of policy urgency, the re-establishment of policy system was the first item, the modification of related laws was the second, and better treatment of professionals is the third.

Development of a video club based program to improve elementary school teachers' noticing skills through framing exploration (프레이밍 탐색을 통한 초등교사의 노티싱 능력 향상을 위한 비디오클럽 기반의 프로그램 개발 연구)

  • Teachers need to attend, interpret, and respond to students' strengths as well as deficits in mathematical thinking, and this is also connected to improving teachers' noticing abilities. The purpose of this study was to develop a video club based program to improve elementary teachers' noticing skills by exploring strengths- and deficits-based framing. To achieve this purpose, we developed a program that went through a series of stages of preparation, development, and validation to notice students' mathematical thinking through strengths- and deficits-based framing, including a pre-activity, eight video club sessions, and a post-activity. The pre-activity was designed to gather preliminary information about the framing that the participanting teachers primarily used to notice the students' mathematical thinking in video clips. The video club sessions were designed to inform participants about strengths- and deficits-based framing and to practice noticing students' mathematical thinking in video clips using each framing approach. The sessions then used a variety of video clips to experience how to notice using schemes or sentence frames for strengths- and deficits-based framing. The post-activity was designed to explore the participants' overall perceptions of the program and what they had learned. The paper concludes by discussing on the importance of the video club program developed and its implications for practice.

Dynamic Structural Equation Models of Activity Participation and Travel Behavior using Puget Sound Transportation Panel (Puget Sound Transportation Panel을 이용한 활동참여와 통행행동의 Dynamic SEM)

  • This paper develops a dynamic structural equation model, which captures relationships among socio-demographics, activity participation(i.e., time use) and travel behavior in consideration with time variation effects. The data used in developing the model are two waves(the year 1991 and 1992) from Puget Sound Transportation Panel (PSTP). which is surveyed in Puget Sound Region in United States. The PSTP is widely used in transportation behavior analysis and includes various information of traveler's socio-economic, travel patterns, and activity participation. In the model, we use 10 endogenous variables including activity participations and travel behaviors and 10 exogenous variables composed of time variant and invariant traveler's socio-demographic variables. The empirical model shows that strong relationships exist not only between socio-demographics and travel behavior, but between waves. We also confirm needs of panel data set to identify and understand time variation effects and travel behaviors.

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 컴퓨터 교과의 제재를 주제로 한 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습을 설계하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 프로젝트 학습과 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습에 대한 제이론을 고찰하고 이를 바탕으로 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습 모형을 설계하여 초등학교 컴퓨터 교과의 주제를 중심으로 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습을 설계하였다. 설계 단원은 초등학교 6학년 컴퓨터 교과(재량교과)의 '정보의 이해와 윤리', '컴퓨터 기초', '소프트웨어의 활용' 영역을 예비 학습으로 학습하고, 주제별로 그룹별 프로젝트 활동을 함으로써 학습자 중심의 학습이 가능하도록 하였다.

  • 휴대단말의 운영체제가 개발 기간 및 비용 절감이라는 장점을 지닌 리눅스 기반으로 옮겨가고 있다. 이미 지난 2007년 3분기에 전세계적으로 1천만 대 이상의 리눅스 기반 휴대용 단말이 판매되었다. 이처럼 휴대단말에 있어서 리눅스 기반 제품에 모토롤라, 노키아, 구글, 삼성전자, LG전자 등과 같은 많은 국내외 업체들이 관심을 가지고 안드로이드, 리모, LiPS 등과 같은 여러 단체를 만들어 활동중이다. 본 고에서는 리눅스 기반의 휴대단말 운영체제를 주도하고 있는 플랫폼을 중심으로 그 특징을 분석하고 보안 측면에서의 고려사항은 무엇이 있는지 살펴본다.
