This paper discusses how the strategies for crime prevention are interrelated to sustainable urban development. The sustainable urban development for healthy and safe cities implies regulations or legal, lawful control to reduce fear of crime and prevent substantial threats to health and safety of individual persons as well as of the community. City planners attempt to apply to the strategies for crime prevention their perception of what the sustainable urban development should be with respect to urban environment. Many planners have studied on the possibility of reduction in fear of crime and actual crimes through environmental improvement. The results of their preliminary studies provide specific suggestions to reduce crimes and fear of crime by application of CPTED. This study proposes alternatives in policy necessary for CPTED, which is one of the strategies for crime prevention, to take its place as a useful strategy for making the urban societies safe and sustainable.

In the collaborative product design environment, the communication between designers is important to capture design intents and to share a common view among the different but semantically similar terms. The Semantic Web supports integrated and uniform access to information sources and services as well as intelligent applications by the explicit representation of the semantics buried in ontology. Ontologies provide a source of shared and precisely defined terms that can be used to describe web resources and improve their accessibility to automated processes. Therefore, employing ontologies on assembly modeling makes assembly knowledge accurate and machine interpretable. In this paper, we propose a framework of semantic assembly modeling using ontologies to share design information. An assembly modeling ontology plays as a formal, explicit specification of a shared conceptualization of assembly design modeling. In this paper, implicit assembly constraints are explicitly represented using OWL (Web Ontology Language) and SWRL (Semantic Web Rule Language). The assembly ontology also captures design rationale including joint intent and spatial relationships.

전차 선로용으로 적용되는 직류 피뢰기의 설계 기술을 소개하였다. 현재 국내에 사용되는 전차 선로 서지 보호용 직류 피뢰기는 전량 수입에 의존하고 있다. 안전한 피뢰기를 설계하기 위해서 적용 구간의 임펄스 서지 환경을 파악하고 이에 맞는 적절한 내량의 피뢰기를 설계하는 것이 요구된다. 특히 직류 구간의 경우 과도 서지 발생의 형태가 기존 계통 환경과 다르기 때문에 피뢰기 보호범위와 정격의 설정에 주의가 요구된다.

본 연구는 RC 공정을 대상으로 하여 핵물질 계량을 위한 실시간 정보관리 시스템 모형을 설계하였으며 개발기구는 PC상에서 C언어를 이용한 Nexpert Object를 이용하였다. 전문가 시스템을 이용한 계량관리 시스템은 다중 상속성을 갖는 규칙과 임의 객체를 포함한 객체들로써 Nexpert Object의 개발 환경에서 지식 기반이 설계되었다. 설계된 지식 기반은 Nexpert Object Protected Mode의 운영 환경에서 무한한 양의 정보관리가 신속 정확히 이루어질 수있었다.

Web 기반 시스템 구축시 저렴한 구축비용, 표준화된 문서환경, 클라이언트를 통일하지 않고도 어플리케이션의 구현이 가능한 장점 때문에 인터넷 프로토콜인 TCP/IP와 HTTP를 기반으로 시스템을 구축하려는 기업과 조직이 늘고 있다. 본 논문에서는 web 환경에서 시스템 구축시 적용할 수 잇는 web 기반 시스템 분석/설계 모형을 제안한다. 기존의 web 어플리케이션 개발 방법들이 데이터 분석에 기초를 둔 것과는 달리, 기업과 조직이 가지는 기능을 중심으로 web 어플리케이션을 분석하고, 파악된 기능에서 pageflow를 설계하여 사용자의 요구사항과 조직의 처리가 반영된 page와 네비게이션 경로(navigation path)를 설계할 수 있는 모형을 제시한다.

온실의 난방에 필요한 난방기기의 용량 및 연료소비량을 합리적으로 추정하기 위해서는 난방설계용 외기조건, 즉 표준기상 데이터가 필요하다. 그러나, 현재 국내에는 건물의 냉난방 설계를 위한 표준기상 자료가 대도시 지역의 일부에 대하여만 발표되어 있다. 이것은 농업시설에 대해서는 적용이 불가능하므로 농업 시설 설계를 위한 개략적인 표준기상 데이터의 선정이 요망된다. (중략)

분산 컴퓨팅 기술의 발전과 네트워크의 고성능화는 대용량의 멀티미디어 데이터를 송.수신 하여 처리 할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나, 실시간 및 이기종간의 데이터 전송에는 네트워크 전송지연과 프로그램 구현의 어려움 등과 같이 극복해야 하는 문제점들이 많다. 본 논문은 객체지향형 분산처리 환경 하에서 OMG가 제시한 멀티미디어 서비스 설계에 RTP(Real-time Transport protocol)통신 프로토콜을 사용하여 오디오나 비디오 등과 같은 실시간 멀티미디어 데이터 처리에 필요한 효율적인 소프트웨어 기반 구조를 설계하였고, 이를 이용한 인터넷 폰 시스템인 Telegent(Telephone Agent: Telegent)를 분산 객체 환경에 맞게 설계하고 구현한 내용을 기술한다.

다중 사용자 환경에서 새로운 소프트웨어 개발하기 위해서는 특정 사용자 관점이 아닌 다양한 관점에서의 의견이 최대로 반영된 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐를 설계할 필요가 있다. 그리고 설계 과정에서의 이러한 다양한 관점에서의 의견들을 조정하기 위한 협동 작업을 자동화해 줄 수 있는 메커니즘 또한 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐 설계 과정에서 사용자들의 의견을 최대한 반영한 아키텍쳐 설계를 위해 기존의 다중 계층 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐 관리 방법을 사용하고, 이러한 다중 계층 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐의 효율적인 재구성을 위한 자동화 방안으로 에이전트 기법을 도입한다.

수산시설의 설계에서 고려하여야 할 외력환경은 바람, 파랑, 흐름, 조석이 대표적이며, 태풍 및 지진 등에 의한 고조 및 쓰나미(진파)와 강설, 강우 등이 있다. 해양외력환경은 수산시설의 형상, 설치 수심 및 해역 등에 따라 중요도가 달라질 수 있으며, 황천시의 극한조건에 대한 안정성과 작업시의 가동조건에 따른 기능성으로 대별될 수 있다. 수산시설의 설계조건도 해양구조물 설계기준을 준용할 수 있을 것이며, 소재 및 구조에 따라 내구년한을 정의하여 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. (중략)

수십 W급 이상의 무선 전력 전송 기술을 활용한 시스템의 증가와 더불어, 전자파 환경 문제가 심각하게 대두되고 있으며, 본 논문에서는 전자파 환경을 고려한 무선 전력 전송 시스템 설계 기술에 관하여 언급한다. 가장 먼저 무선 전력 전송 시스템을 분류하고, 회로 해석을 통하여 동작 특성을 분석하며, 코일 시스템에서 발생하는 전자파 노이즈 예측 및 축소 기술을 소개하고, 마지막으로 제작된 LED TV를 위한 무선 전력 전송 시스템에서 발생하는 전자파 노이즈 측정 결과 분석을 통하여, 설계 단계에서 전자파 노이즈를 예측하고, 축소 기술을 적용하면, 전자파 노이즈 규정을 만족할 수 있는 무선 전력 전송 시스템 설계를 할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
