The purpose of this study is to understand the risk of chemical product, Styrene Monomer(SM), shipped in a vessel. SM is harmful chemical product which can make injury, explosion and/or fire in a vessel. The understand of SM risk is very important to protect seafarer's body and vessel safety. This research can be expected that the understanding of SM risk by a seafarer's to prevent accidents by SM explosion and/or fire.

Technology transferors and technology transferees decide to transfer technology with various motivations as they share benefits and risks. On top of economic benefit factors and risk factors provided by technology transferees, technology transferors also make technology transfer decisions by taking into account various factors such as government policies and systems, as well as their management strategies. In this study, the factors influencing the technology transfer in the chemical industry and the influence on the technology transfer intention are analysed. As a result of this study, factors influencing technology transfer are economic benefit factor, technological factor, risk factor, and socio-cultural factor. A significant differences in the influencing factors between the technology transferors and the technology transferees are that the economic benefit factors are more considered by the technology transferees and the technological factors are more considered by technology transferors in technology transfer. Technology transferees shows the stronger intention to enter technology transfer than the technology transferors.

지금까지의 국제환경규제 중 가장 강력한 환경규제로 평가되는 유럽연합(EU)의 REACH(신 화학물질 관리제도)가 다음달인 6월 발효된다. 이 제도에 제대로 대응하지 못할 경우 유럽 수출길이 막히게 돼 국내 기업들의 대책 마련이 시급하다. REACH가 가장 강력한 환경규제로 꼽히는 이유는 규제 대상의 광범위성 때문이다. 화학제품은 물론 전자, 자동차, 생활용품 등 완제품에 함유된 화학물질도 모두 등록 대상으로 총 3만종이 넘는다는 게 EU 화학물질관리청의 추정이다. 그러나 문제는 REACH가 EU 수출에 있어 거대한 무역 장벽으로 등장하고 있지만 국내 산업계의 대응은 아직 크게 미흡하다는 것이다. 특히 중소기업의 경우 REACH의 개념조차 제대로 모르고 있는 실정이다. 환경부가 지난해 말 EU에 수출하고 있는 3200여개 기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 한 결과, 응답률은 127개(회수율 4%)밖에 안됐으며 설문에 참여한 117개 중소기업 중 제도에 대해 전혀 모르고 있다는 답변이 36%나 됐다. 본 고에서는 일본기업 REACH 대응 설문조사 결과 내용을 통해 국내 인지도와 비교해 봄과 동시에 REACH 제도에 대응하기 위해 나아갈 방향을 조명해 본다.

(사)한국포장협회(회장 임경호)는 지난 2월 18일 '제32차 정기총회 및 포장인의 날'에 (사)한국포장협회 회장상과 공로상, 그리고 한용교포장인상을 수여했다. 이번 제25회 한용교포장인상 시상식에서는 연구개발 부문에 박세철 (주)아이피씨 기술연구소 소장이, 수출진흥 부문에 최봉규 (주)천일 대표이사가 수상의 영광을 안았고, 장학생 부문에서는 대구대학교 식품공학과의 박정우 학생과 연세대학교 패키징학과의 신동훤 학생이 장학금을 수여받았다. 한편 제3회 (사)한국포장협회 회장상은 이현철 (주)서일 소장이 수상했고 공로상은 신동윤 율촌화학(주) 회장이 수상했다. 다음 인터뷰를 통해 제25회 한용교포장인상 수상자들의 활약상을 살펴본다.

(사)한국포장협회(회장 임경호)는 지난 3월 20일부터 6월 2일까지 총 11주간 제39기 포장기술관리사(Packaging Professional) 통신교육을 실시했다. 해당 교육에는 총 79명이 신청하였으며 이들 중 74명이 수료했다. 최종심의 결과 홍석균 (주)목양산업 차장이 총 100점 만점에 97.2점을 기록해 1등으로 수료했다. 이어 안원재 동일화학공업(주) 상무이사가 2등(96.0점), 김윤일 (주)목양산업 과장과 김재은 재즐엔터프라이즈 대리가 공동 3등(95.0점)으로 우수성적 수료자로 선정됐다. 우수 수료자들의 인터뷰를 통해 교육에 대한 전반적인 내용들을 살펴 보았다.
