A new standard rose cultivar "Peach Pudding" was bred from the cross between deep red standard cultivar 'Red Sandra' and light pink standard cultivar 'Dolores' at the National Horticulture Research Institute. The cross was made in 2000 and "Peach Pudding" was finally selected in 2006 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2002 to 2006. 'Peach Pudding', a pink standard cultivar has good flower shape and fashionable flower color. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 113.1 stems/$m^2$/year in yield, 60.6 cm in length of cut flower, 8.7 cm in flower diameter, 38.6 in petal number, and 12.8 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'New Miracle'.

This research is to build the foundation of systematic application of color in cosmetology by analyzing color attributes in women's makeup presentation. The result were as follows. 1. The most popular color series in make up were R then RP and YR. The most popular color tone is 'd' and 'lt'. 2. Colors in make up according to age was as follows. For eye shadow, people aged 18 to 24 used 'lt' tone of the R color series; people aged 25 to 34 used 'lt', 's', 'sf tone of the R color series, 'lt' tone of the PB color series, 'lt' tone of the YR color series; people over 35 'g' tone of the YR color series, 'sf' tone of the P color series. For lipstick, people aged 18 to 24 used 'd' tone of the R color series; people aged 25 to 34 used 'd', 'sf' tone of the R color series; people over 35 used 'd' tone of the R color series. For lip-gloss, people aged 18 to 24 used 'v', 'lt', 'b', 's' tone of the R color series; people aged 25 to 34 used 's' 'd' 'dp' 'sf' tone of the R color series; people over 35 used 'b' tone of the R color series. 3. Make up colors according to marital status was as follows. For eye shadow, while married interviewees used 's', 'dk' tone of the R color series, single interviewees used 'lt', 'sf' tone of the R color series. For lipstick, while married interviewees used 'd', 'g' tone of the R color series, single interviewees preferred to use madder 'd', 'sf' tone of the R color series. For lip-gross, while married interviewees used 'd' tone of the R color series, single interviewees used 'b' tone of the R color series the most.

미국 오하이오주 남서쪽에 위치한 Seip 토루군(100 B.C.-A.D. 500경)의 출토유물들에 대하여 현미경으로 관찰되는 인피섬유의 형태학적 손상을 분석하였다. 형태학적 손상이란 외부로부터의 물리적 혹은 화학적 요인에 의해 섬유은 표면과 내면에 발생하는 형태변형을 말한다. Seip직물에 포함된 인피섬유의 형태학적 손상 정도는 본 연구를 위해 제작된 인피섬유손상지로(IBFM)의 점수의 합으로 나타내었다. Seip직물들은 육안으로 보았을 때 우선 숯과 같이 검은 색을 띄고 있는 직물들과 그렇지 않은 직물군으로 분류되었는데 발굴보고서에 설명된 시신과 관련 부장품들의 수습상황으로 미루어 볼 때 검게 된 직물군은 부분적으로 하장된 시신의 부장품이었으며 검게 되지 않은 직물군은 일반매장된 시신의 부장품으로 보였다. Seip직물들은 다시 서로 다른 조직에 따라 분류되는 직물군으로 나뉘어 질 수 있었는데 본 연구에서는 이들 중 가장 빈번히 보이는 교차쌍 위사 트와인조직(Spaced alternate-pair weft-twining)으로 만들어진 직물군과 그 밖의 조직으로 되어 있는 직물군으로 나누고 이들을 각각 얼터씨이트(Alternate)와 기타조직(Pooled)으로 명명하였다. 본 연구에서는 Seip직물들 간에 매장법에 의해 손상정도의 차이가 발생했으며 특히 부븐적으로 화장된 직물과 그대로 묻혀진 직물들 간에 섬유손상 정도의 차이가 있었을 것으로 좌고 이를 확인하기 위해 검게된 직물군과 검게 되지 않은 직물군 간에, 그리고 얼터네이트와 기타조직으로된 직물군들 간에 IBFM 점수의 차이가 있는지 조사하였다. 섬유의 형태학적 손상은 광학현미경과 주사전자현미경을 사용하여 분석하였으며 분석에 이용된 총 샘플수는 총 132개였다. 수집된 데이터는 t-test를 이응하여 분석 하였다. T-test의 분석결과 Seip 직물들은 검게된 직물군과 검게되지 않은 직물군 사이에서 유의한 손상 정도의 차이를 볼 수 있었으며 반면에 조직에 따른 분류에서는 유의한 차이를 볼 수 없었다. IBFM의 평군점수를 비교하면 검게된 직물군보다 검게되지 않은 직물군이 더 높은 점수를 나타내어 후자가 더 많이 손상된 것으로 보여졌다. 7개의 손상형태를 독칩적으로 보았을 때 섬유속의 분리정도 (degree of bundle separation) , 횡금(transverse crack) , 그리고 횡선 (transverse striations) 이 검게된 직물군과 검게 되지 않은 직물군 사이에서, 섬유속의 분리정도, 종금(lengthwise striations)과 횡금이 얼터네이트와 기타조직 사이에서 각각 유의한 차이를 보였다.

A new standard rose cultivar 'Snow Ball' was bred by the cross between the red standard cultivar 'Red Sandra' and the scarlet standard cultivar 'Baroness' at the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science, in Suwon. The cross was made in 1998 and 'Snow Ball' was finally selected in 2003 after investigating the characteristics for three years from 2001 to 2003. 'Snow Ball', a white standard cultivar grows vigorously and has good flower shape. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $90.3stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 57.8 cm in length of cut flower, 6.1 cm in flower diameter, 85.7 in petal number, and 15.0 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Tineke'.

A new Saxifraga fortunei 'Pinkle' was bred by crossing 'Juno' with 'Hongoan', both with light pink (RP-N66A)-colored petals. The selection of promising lines and characterization of flowers were conducted from 2004 to 2008 year in greenhouses of the Highland Agriculture Research Center, NICS, RDA. The flowering of 'Pinkle' starts on October 7 and lasted for 27 days. The number of flowers per plant is 99.7 with many flowering habits. The flower show mixed dark pink (R-P N66C) colors at opening. The flower have 5.0 petals, each have the size is 2.9 cm in width and 3.2 cm in length. Mean plant height is 15.8 cm and number of leaves are 44.3 ea. 'Pinkle' can be used as a pot flower. Fifty percent shading of the sunlight is recommended and soft rot disease occurs caused by over-irrigation. 'Pinkle' was registered as a new cultivar in Korea Seed and Variety Service in April 2011.

A new rose cultivar was developed from a cross between "Neon" and "Hello" by the rose breeding team of Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 1999. The cultivar, "Loving You" was finally selected in 2007 after evaluation trials for three years (2005-2007). The cultivar was developed for a standard-type cut flower with pink petals. "Loving You" grows vigorously and produces $108.5stems/m^2$ in a year, and has 50.2 petals per flower. The days to flower was 46 days, which is very short in rose. The length of cut flower was long with 76.8 cm. Vase-life of the cultivar could be as long as 11 days. The cultivar was applied for a variety protection in 2007.

A new rose cultivar, 'Green Beauty' was selected from the progenies of a cross between 'Qvarna' and 'Sky Line' by rose breeding team of the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 1999. It was finally selected in 2005 after evaluation trials for five years (2001-2005). 'Green Beauty' was developed for a standard-type cut flower. 'Green Beauty' has good qualified flower of which color is fair orange-yellow and green. 'Green Beauty' produces $178stems/m^2$ in a year, and has 62 petals per flower. Vase life of the cultivar could be as long as 12 days. 'Green Beauty' has some good agricultural and marketing traits. Futhermore marketing-quality was good in some aspects. The cultivar was applied for a variety protection in 2006, and was released to commercial growers in 2007.

얼굴에 대한 시각적 인지는 오랫동안 인간에게 중요한 문제로 인식되어 왔다. 수 세기 동안 이루어져 왔던 미용 화장과 성형, 치아 교정 등의 다양한 연구는 사람의 얼굴을 감성적 측면에서 어떻게 하면 아름답게 만들 수 있는 가에 초점을 두었다. 본 논문에서는 휴먼 입출력 인터페이스로서 햅틱 장치와 스테레오 디스플레이를 혼합한 다중 감각 인터랙션 기반의 감성적인 3차원 얼굴 메이크업 시뮬레이션 프레임워크를 개발한다. 본 연구는 3차원 스캐너 장비로부터 사용자의 얼굴 모델을 추출하고, 그 데이터를 이용하여 자연스럽고 직관적인 얼굴 메이크업 시뮬레이션을 수행하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 surface elements 표현 기반의 3차원 얼굴 필터링 방법과 얼굴 메이크업을 지원하는 페인팅 방법을 개발한다. 우선 사용자의 얼굴 모델을 3차원 스캐너로 획득한 후, 전처리 얼굴 필터링을 수행하여 조명, 그리고 사용자 얼굴 피부 상태에 기인하는 에러 및 속성들을 보정하고 피부 톤을 사용자가 선호하는 색으로 변경한다. 최종적으로 사용자는 햅틱 및 스테레오 디스플레이 장치를 이용하여 두 개의 레이어로 구성된 페인팅 표면 모델에 메이크업을 수행한다. 본 연구에서 적용한 surface elements 표현 기반의 그래픽 렌더링은 일반적인 메쉬 기반 페인팅의 문제점인 텍스쳐 왜곡 현상을 완화하고, 3차원 스캐너 장치에 기인하는 표면 에러를 보정한다. 그리고 전처리 얼굴 필터링과 메이크업 페인팅 방법은 사용자 중심의 감성적인 3차원 얼굴을 재구성하도록 한다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 이러한 기술들이 다중 감각 인터페이스 기반의 메이크업 시뮬레이터의 기본 프레임워크가 되어, 차후 메이크업이나 코디네이션 분야 등의 디지털 콘텐츠 산업에서 활용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

A new $Saxifraga$ $fortunei$ cultivar 'Crystal' was bred by crossing 'Dotaerang' with light pink and light Green (RP 58D) colored petals and 'Rocksun' with light pink and light green white (RP62A + GW157A) colored petals. The selection and flower characterization were conducted from 2004 to 2007 in a greenhouse of the National Institute of Highland Agriculture. The flowering of 'Crystal' occurred from September 21 for 31 days. The number of flowers per plant was 279.0 with many flowering habit. The flower coloration was mixed light pink and green white (RP62D + GW157B) at the opening. The number of petals were 7.0, with a width of 2.1 cm and length of 1.8 cm. The plant height was 15.3 cm and number of leaves was 133.7. 'Crystal' cultivar can be used for pot flower. Fifty percent shading is a good cultural practice against direct sunlight and soft rot disease would occurs usually by over-irrigation. 'Crystal' cultivar was registered as a new variety with No. 3466 at Korea Seed and Variety Service in April of 2011 year.

A new spray rose cultivar "Morning Star" was bred from the cross between orange spray cultivar 'Macarena' and yellow spray cultivar 'Lion Sunshine' at the National Institute of Horticultural Research Institute. The cross was made in 2002 and "Morning Star" was finally selected in 2007 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2005 to 2007. "Morning Star", a orange spray cultivar grows vigorously and has good flower shape. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 170.2 stems/$m^2$/year in yield, 57.4cm in length of cut flower, 5.5cm in flower diameter, 48.5 in petal number, and 11.4 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Sunny Lady'.
