Among Human Sensibility-oriented products a gap between the images that designers try to express through that product and users emotional evaluation becomes an issue. The data on the correlation between image words used for design evaluation and images used in the design process are especially significant. This study based on these correlations suggests a Fuzzy retrieval system supporting styling design with images and image words. In the system, the relational data are demonstrated by Fuzzy thesaurus as correlation coefficient from the degree of similarity among image words. And the degree of similarity is produced based on image evaluation. Image retrieval is conducted by the algorithm of Fuzzy thesaurus development, 1) among image words, 2) images to image words, 3) image words to images and 4) among images: 4 different modes are provided as retrieval modes. Also transfer between modes is carried by direct operating interface, therefore divergent thinking and convergent thinking is supported well. The system consists of operation for the gap and the measurement unit of emotional evaluation, and visualization units. Under unified interface environments are set in order for consistency of the operation.

인터넷의 급속한 발전으로 인해 네트워크를 통한 텍스트, 이미지. 사운드, 비디오 등과 같은 디지털 컨텐츠의 유통이 점차 대용량으로 변화하고 있다. 이러한 컨텐츠의 유통을 위해 쓰이는 URI는 텍스트의 한 페이지, 사운드 또는 비디오 클립, 정지 화상과 동영상은 물론 프로그램과 같은 컨텐츠를 인식하는데 쓰이고 URL을 이용하여 정보자원의 물리적 위치를 표시하는 문자열을 통해 정보자원에 접근하고 검색하게 된다. 하지만 휴대용 단말기를 이용하는 경우 단점이라 할 수 있는 입력기능의 제한으로 인해 정보이용이 쉽지 않기 때문에 정보 접근을 위한 새로운 URI 체계와 서비스 환경이 필요하다. 새로운 URI 체계에 하나의 대안으로 바코드나 특정 이미지와 같은 화상을 이용할 수 있는 방법이 있으며 이를 화상 URI로 체계화시키는 작업이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 관련 기술들을 연구하고 화상 URI 시스템에서 사용되어질 URI 체계를 현재 세계 표준으로 유력한 DOI를 따르는 네임스페이스 구성에 관하여 연구하고 서비스 제공을 위해 구축되어져야할 환경에 관해 기술한다.

In recent years, theories of image and sound analysis have been proposed to work with text retrieval systems and have progressed quickly with the rapid progress in data processing speeds. This study proposes a common representation format for multimedia documents (CRFMD) composed of both images and text to form a single data structure. It also shows that image classification of a given test set is dramatically improved when text features are encoded together with image features. CRFMD might be applicable to other areas of multimedia document retrieval and processing, such as medical image retrieval, World Wide Web searching, and museum collection retrieval.

고속$\cdot$광대형 통신을 이용하여 디지털화된 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 쉽게 시청할 수 있는 시대가 되고 있다. 그러나 이와 달리 인터넷상의 Web 페이지는 키워드를 이용하여 검색$\cdot$입수하는 것이 정비되어 있지 않다. broadband 시대의 동화상 검색에 필수적인 $\ulcorner$MPEG-7$\lrcorner$에 대해 설명한다.

In this paper, we present a result of our study on how to construct a HIMCS(hospital image management and communication system) based on Windows system. The proposed HIMCS is composed of image acquisition units, image archiving and processing units, display units, and all units are interfaced with LAN. We construct high speed image transmission system for distributed database and retrieval of various medical pictures in ward through image transmission system and realize integrated image diagnosis. Hospital image management and communication systems(HIMCS) have been proposed as a way to meet the challenge presented by the growing volume of medical imaging data. These systems are based on the concept of handing images in digital form, there by marking use of advances in computer-based technology. A HIMCS offers a wide spectrum of advantages over filmbased imaging. Digital acquisition of images eliminates the need for film processing and associated costs in both time and materials.

멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 지능형 선택/검색 시스템(MISS: Multimedia Content Intelligent Selection/search) 는 콘텐츠를 공급하는 서버에 다량의 멀티미디어 컨텐츠들이 존재하며, 이 컨텐츠 중에서 원하는 것을 검색, 선택하는 시스템이다. 지능적 검색, 선택기능을 갖는 MISS 시스템은 인터넷 및 네트워크상에 연결된 시스템들간의 맞춤형 서비스 구현에 필요한 핵심이며, 모든 종류의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠에 적용 가능하다. 현재 WWW 서비스경우는 정보를 찾기 위하여 웹상에서 문서를 찾아주는 텍스트 기반 정보검색기술이 사용되고 있는데, 점점 우리가 접하는 정보의 형태는 텍스트와 함께 화상, 음성, 동영상 등의 멀티미디어화 및 디지털화하고 있다. 사용자들에게는 멀티미디어 데이터를 효과적으로 찾아야 하는 필요성이 증가하고 이에 따라 방대한 양의 분산된 멀티미디어 데이터를 처리할 수 있는 색인 및 검색 도구의 요구가 커지게 되었다. MISS 시스템은 WWW 서비스의 요구에도 적용될 수 있다. MISS 시스템은 다량의 동영상 콘텐츠 중에서 특정 배우, 감독등의 여러 가지 검색 조건으로 콘텐츠를 검색/선택할 수 있고, 하나의 동영상 콘텐츠 내에서 특정Video Segment를 검색할 수 있다. 본 MISS 시스템은 동영상에 대한 Search/Query를 위한DS 구조로써 MPEG-7의 User preference metadata를 이용하였다.

Multi-view 영상 DB의 surround view 입체 화상을 재현하기 위해서는 영상 정보를 효과적으로 합성, 보간하는 방법이 필연적으로 요구된다. 다시점 입체 영상의 표시 기능을 구현하기 위해서 이론적으로는 충분한 개수의 카메라를 상하 좌우로 배치하여 영상을 획득하고 보는 이의 위치에 가장 적합한 영상을 선택하여 표현하면 된다. 이 경우 많은 수의 카메라로부터 입력되는 방대한 영상 데이터의 저장, 처리, 전송, 설치 문제 등 현실적으로 많은 제약점이 존재한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 기존의 블록 매칭과 같은 3D 구조 추정에 기초하여 블록 단위의 깊이 정보와 텍스쳐 정보의 추출, 다시점 영상 set의 가장 왼쪽 영상으로부터 시작하여 차례로 한 줄씩 쌓아서 얻어진 EPI(Epipolar Plane Image)에 기초한 유사 영상 값의 자취선 탐색 방법에 의한 시차와 텍스쳐 정보 추출로 전체 다안화상을 다해상도로 표현하여 전송하는 방식을 제안한다. 다해상도의 영상 표현과 점진적 전송 방법을 통해 다시점 영상 검색 시스템의 성능향상을 위한 네트워크 모델링을 제안하고자 한다.

전자전화번호부 서비스(EDS)는 기존 전화번호정보 안내의 목적인 114전화번호안내 서비스, 전화번호부 발간, 가입자 직접검색서비스등의 각기 고유의 정보제공 방법에서 각 개체가 가진 전화번호관련 정보를 부가가치를 지닌 정보로 재구축하여 공익서비스의 측면에서 사용자가 HITEL단말기를 이용하여 White page정보 및 yellow page 정보를 문자및 화상형태로 제공받을 수 있는 비데오텍스 응용서비스로써, 본고에서는 EDS 검색시스팀 개발에 관련된 연구결과를 정리하였다.

보안관제시스템이 사이버 공격 현황을 보다 한눈에 알 수 있도록 시각적이고 입체적으로 바뀌고 있다. 네트워크 이상트래픽과 보안이벤트를 단순 텍스트나 표, 그래프를 넘어 3차원 영상 화면에서 직관적으로 분석하고 공격 상황을 볼 수 있는 기술이 보안관제시스템에 속속 결합되고 있어 주목된다. 본 연구는 기존 보안시스템 화상의 저장방법, 화상의 감시, 녹화된 화상의 검색 시 불안정성, 운영방법, 설치 방법 등을 혁신적으로 보완한 NETWORK CAMERA 은 RTOS, 카메라, 영상압축기, LAN제어기 등을 하나로 통합한 Embedded System으로 구성되어 운영자뿐만 아니라 누구든지 손쉽게 운영할 수 있도록 초점을 맞추어 인터넷 웹 환경에서 제공토록 개발되어 운영의 효율성을 높인 차세대 보안시스템을 구축하고자 합니다.

This paper presents a new image retrieval system with color and morphological informations based on binary sets. Each of them can be obtained from color binary sets and regional segmentation separately. For retrieval processes, the candidate images are decided by comparing color and their image binary sets of the database with query images. Particularly, it is possible that the retrieval of similar-measurements has a weight of color spatial distribution and its objective morphological features. We proposed a new idea for performing simply the complicated similar-measurement of candidated images to improve queried processes. The retrieval method using spatial and morphological features is shown with the effectiveness on the result of implementation on database with 3,000 images.
