A Study on Heat Transfer Characteristics of Impinging Jet Using Infared Thermal Image Processing System (적외선열화상처리장치를 이용한 충돌제트의 전열특성에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents an information about the heat transfer characteristics of impinging jet in eletronic equipment with infrared image processing unit. There have been many experimental investigations and theoretical studies on impinging jet because of application in a wide variety of industrial process including electronic equipment. In this study, we used infrared image processing unit to visualize heat transfer characteristics of impinging jet in electronic equipment. Infrared image processing unit is one of non-contact temperature measuring methods and it is possible to minimize flow resistance and this measurement is comparatively accurate. The main parameters are nozzle exit angle $(30^{\circ},\;45^{\circ},\;60^{\circ},\;75^{\circ},\;90^{\circ})$ and distance between nozzle and heat source is fixed 6d("d" is diameter of circular nozzle(10 mm). Reynolds number is 4500.

  • Current discriminating technique of rice variety is known to be not objective till this time because of depending on naked eye of well trained inspector. DNA finger print method based on genetic character of rice has been indicated inappropriate for on-site application, because the method need much labor and skilled expert. The purpose of this study was to develops the identification technique of polished rice varieties using CCD camera images. To minimize the noise of the captured image, thresholding and median filtering were carried out, and edge was extracted from the image data. Image data after pretreatment of normalize and FFT(fast fourier transform) were used for library model and feedforward backpropagation neural network model. Image processing technique using CCD camera could discriminate the variety of rice with high accuracy in case of quite different rice of shape, but the accuracy was reached at 85% in the similar shape of rice.

  • 컴퓨터의 기본 출력장치인 프린터는 컴퓨터의 대중보급과 그 이용기술의 고도화에 부응하여 새로운 기능을 갖춘 모델이 계속적으로 등장하고 있다. 또한 제한된 문자종의 단순한 인쇄 출력기능만이 요구되던 대형 컴퓨터 접속용 프린터에서는 인자 속도와 신뢰성이 주된 성능 평가 대상이었으나, 소형 컴퓨터 중심의 구체화·전문화된 응용 분야인 CAD·CAM이나 OA 용의 프린터에는 문자종의 다양성, 그래픽 화상처리, 유색인쇄, 자동 급지장치 등 부가적인 추가기능 처리능력이 요구되고 있다.

  • This study is to develop optical lining device for vacuum binding of PDP and FED. It is very difficult precise technology to line a front board and back board accurately and fast every time when two boards are joined together. Especially, these technology is difficult to be transferred from developed countries. In this study, the accuracy of lining of two boards in vacuum device by developing an optical lining device for vacuum binding as an image processor and CCD camera configured to be high magnification lens with long focus using optical design.

  • To produce F1 hybrid of silkworm sex discrimination has to be followed at the pupal stage by sexual organ. However it requires a lot of labour and may bring about a wrong classification. In these regards, this study has been implemented to find out an effective measure for the pupal sex discrimination by use of variation of cocoon weight and image analysis of cocoon. As a result, it was found that in case of the pupal weight the percentage of a wrong classification fell on 0.3% and in case of single cocoon weight 0.4%. The discrimination rate was 99% in the weight variables of cocoon but analysis by single cocoon weight and cocoon shape variables, it was 98.7%. Efficiency of discrimination was increased by 2.7% as compared to variable of single cocoon weight. The minimum cocoon sampling size may be 15 cocoons sexual-wise.

  • Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) with a CW laser, a video system and an image processor was utilized to measure the in-plane displacement. Unlike traditional strain gauges or Moire method. ESPI method measure the in-plane displacement on real time with out any surface preparation on surface attachment. The specimen has a crack of 10*0.1 mm in the middle of plate and strain gauge was also attached on that surface to compare with ESPI method. This study reveled the ESPI method to measure the displacement and distribution of strain in the specimen. It was shown in tensile tests that the measurement by ESPI method was comparable with strain gauge.

  • 식물 뿌리에 대한 지식은 식물-토양 사이의 관계 이해, 토양의 호율적 관리, 식물에 의한 영양분과 수분의 흡수 과정 이해, 그리고 토양 등급 지수를 만드는데 있어서 아주 중요하다 식물 뿌리에 관한 정보를 정량화하기 위하여는 뿌리를 흙으로부터 씻어내고 뿌리의 길이, 표면적, 중량과 같은 식물 뿌리의 특성을 측정하여야 한다 하지만 이렇게 뿌리를 씻어 낸 다음 뿌리의 특성을 측정하는 기존의 방법을 이용할 경우 막대한 시간과 노동력이 필요하여 뿌리에 관한 많은 양의 정보를 얻는데 큰 어려움이 있다. 이 연구에서는 식물 뿌리를 관측하는데 필요한 시간과 노동력을 줄일 수 있는 식물 뿌리 측정법을 세선 작업과 자외선 명암 증진법을 이용한 영상 정보 처리 장치를 바탕으로 하여 개발하였다. 개발된 화상 정보 처리 장치를 이용하여 옥수수 뿌리의 길이를 재었을 때 기존의 뿌리 길이 측정 방법보다 2.5 배 발리 측정할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 휴대 장치의 증가에 따른 증강현실 기술 적용과 발전 전망을 나타내었다. 증강현실 기술 발전에 따른 대안을 몇 가지 나타내었다. 첫째는 모바일 증강현실 서비스 응용 개발 및 사용에 따른 국내외 소프트웨어 구조 기술 표준이 제정되어야 하며, 둘째는 중앙처리장치, 기억장치 및 해상도 등 H/W에 따른 이식성에 제한을 받지 않는 강건한 추적 기술이 개발되어야 하며, 셋째는 마커를 사용하지 않는 경우에 추적 속도와 정확도의 정보가 이루어지는 강건한 Markerless 2D, 3D 추적 기술이 개발되어야함을 나타내었다. 이밖에 증강현실 화상 처리를 위한 전용 DSP 또는 GPU의 성능 향상과 증강현실 특화에 따른 사용자 상호 작용 기술에 대한 연구 및 개발이 필요 됨을 나타내었다.

Data Input/Output Time Reduction Scheme with the Simultaneous Transmission Method for Multi-participants Video Conference System (다자간 화상회의 시스템에서의 동시 전송방법에 의한 데이터 입출력 시간 단축 방안)

  • In this paper, we propose the method in which a stream of multimedia data simultaneously transfers to the main memory and the multimedia processor from the network interface card using a conventional system bus. The proposed method can reduce the input/output time of multimedia data and improve the data stream in the system bus. Also, we compared the number of system bus accesses, bus cycles and data transmission time to the number of participants between the proposed method and the conventional methods in the multi-party video conference systems. The comparison results of performance anticipate that the number of bus accesses of the proposed method was reduced by 50%, and the total transmission time was reduced by 75% as much as the conventional method regardless of the relation of the participant numbers.
