We have to consider two parts of the evaluation and treatment for the patients with head and neck burns. The primary consideration is swallowing function for nutrition supply for them and the next is speech function for efficient communication and aesthetic impression of them. The purpose of this study is to summarize the preliminary questions of Communication Screening Protocols which can help understand comprehensively on swallowing disorder, motor speech disorder and voice disorder of patients with head and neck burns. We divided the evaluation into 4 evaluation areas including 'oral mechanism', 'respiration/voice', 'articulation', and 'swallowing' by referring to overseas studies dealing with various communication disorders caused by burns, and prepared the final questionnaires by conducting the content validity verification by five expert (speech & language pathologist). The range of Content Validity Index was shown relatively appropriate with .50~.84. There was a conflict of opinions in experts whether the items in the areas of respiration/voice and swallowing may be appropriate, whereas there was no different view of the oral mechanism and articulation area. Through the different characteristics of communication difficulties of patients with head and neck burns, we expect it will be modified appropriately according to the patients through evaluation of burn patients by type and severity.

삼보정보통신은 지난달 한양대학교의 디지털도서관 구축을 완료하고 시연회를 가졌다. 과거의 도서관은 단순히 서지정보만을 제공하는 역할을 담당했지만 지금은 텍스트정보 뿐만 아니라 화상, 소리, 동화상까지 제공하는 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 또한 디지털도서관은 가상대학의 핵심요소로 관련업계에서는 초미의 관심사가 되어있다. 삼보정보통신의 디지털도서관 구축사례를 소개함으로써 가상대학을 추진하고 있는 대학에게 도움이 되고자 한다.

An image processing system was built to evaluate the color properties of apple and meat. The system consisted of video camera, video card, 32 bit microcomputer and an optical illuminator. The operating software was developed to carry out capturing, analyzing, displaying and storing of the 8 bit digitized images of food. The images of apples at various maturing stages were investigated to obtain the color histogram of R, G, B and Hunter value. RGB histogram showed a major difference in G value, 35.01, the minor change in R value, 6.16, and the negligible difference in B value. The image of beef cut was separated into two parts, fat and lean tissue, by applying threshold value method based on the digital value of color. The threshold value for fat was over 240 and for lean under 230 in R value, respectively. The resulting non fat image showed 2% decreased color difference value, ${\Delta}E$, than whole meat cut.

Watercore influences storage and distribution industry of fruit. Therefore, the technique for nondestructive discrimination of watercore fruit is needed. This work reports about the possibility of watercore discrimination of ante using transmitted light, and the effects of various factors. CCD camera was used to capone images of each apple fruit. An excess watercore apples were higher light transmission score than little watercore apples. The accuracy fur discrimination of watercore apple was about 70% using transmitted light. Peel thickness, anthocyanin layer thickness and density of apple affected the light transmission. Apples having thin peel, thin pigment layer and low density tended to high transmitted light score. Apples of good color degree were more probability of existence watercore than ones of bad color degree. But color distribution of apple peel was not correlated with watercore.

구조물의 대형화, 고층화에 따라 화재로 인한 인명피해 및 물적피해가 증가하고 있다. 최근 10년간의 인명피해 중 사망자는 매년 평균 6.3% 증가하였고, 부상자의 년평균 증가율은 5.1%로, 2002년에만 531명의 사망자와 1,853명의 부상자가 발생하였다. 2002 년 한 해 동안 34,000여건의 화재가 발생하였으며 이 가운데 건물화재는 약 80%를 차지하고 있다. 인명피해는 대부분 건물화재에서 발생하였으며, 불연내장재의 사용증가에 따라 화염 및 영에 의한 화상 등의 직접적인 피해보다는 일산화탄소 중독이나 질식사 같은 연소가스에 의한 피해가 증가하는 추세이다.(중략)

전송기술은, 교환기술과 더불어 전기통신시스템의 기둥이되는 것으로, 지금까지는 저코스트 고품질로 안정한 전화회선을 대량으로 공급하는 것을 주목적으로 하고, 많은 기술개발이 진행되어왔다. 또 이 일환인 전송품질이나 신뢰도에 필수의 소후트웨어(software)로 되여있다. 또 최근에는 전화이외에 통신이나 화상통신과 같은 신전기통신의 이용분야가 급속으로 확대되고 있다. 이 때문에 전송기술에 있어서도 회선의 광대역화, 전송로의 초대객화등과 같은, 종래와는 전연 상이한 기술혁신의 시기를 맞이하려 하고 있다. 다음에 기술한 것은 최근의 전기통신시스템의 구성이나 그 동향과 전송기술과의 관계를 개략적으로 소개한 것으로 전기통신전송방식의 최근의 동향과 흐름을 알 수 있다고 생각한다.
