Family Variables affecting Compulsive Buying Behavior on Fashion Products (강박구매행동에 영향을 미치는 가족변인에 관한 연구: 패션제품을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine family factors affecting compulsive buying behavior. Three hundred fifty-five female college students who had purchased fashion products through Internet shopping or TV home shopping participated in this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, t-test, multiple regression, and reliability test. As the results, approximately 18% of respondents were revealed as compulsive buyers. Compulsive consumption scores were correlated to higher previous childhood consumption experience, family matters, parents' compulsive consumption tendency, and reference group. Also, results of multiple regression revealed that previous childhood consumption experience, parents' compulsive consumption tendency, and reference group were significantly related to compulsive buying, Finally, there were significantly differences between compulsive buyers and non-compulsive buyers on previous childhood consumption experiences, parents' compulsive consumption tendency, and reference group. Based on these results, this study would provide significant implications to academic scholars, consumer policy decision makers, and marketers.

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 스마트 TV 환경에서의 적응형 멀티스크린 서비스 시스템 구조를 제안하고, 이를 실제 스마트 TV 에 적용 가능하도록 프로토타입 시스템으로 구현한 결과를 보여준다. 제안 시스템은 적응형 콘텐츠 부호화 기술과 하이브리드 네트워크 전송 기술, 멀티스크린 서비스 발견 및 제어 기술을 포함하고 있다. 스마트 TV 를 중심으로 다양한 종류의 멀티스크린 장치가 연결되는 서비스 소비환경에 적응적인 콘텐츠를 제공하기 위해서 H.264/SVC 기반의 다계층 비디오 부호화/복호화 기법을 적용하였다. 또한, 다계층 부호화된 콘텐츠를 방송망과 인터넷 등 이종 멀티네트워크를 이용해 동시에 전송함으로써, 전송 대역의 가용성을 확장하는 하이브리드 네트워크 기반의 미디어 전송 기술과 UPnP 기반의 사용자 중심 멀티스크린 서비스 발견 및 이동기술을 제안한다. 기존의 멀티스크린 서비스가 단말의 소비환경에 비 적응적이고, 홈 네트워크 환경 및 플랫폼 폐쇄적인 환경에서 제공되는 단방향 멀티스크린 서비스인 반면, 본 논문에서 제안하는 적응형 멀티스크린 서비스 시스템은 네트워크 및 단말의 소비환경에 적응적이고 효과적인 웹 기반의 양방향 멀티스크린 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we have implemented UPnP Devices which emulate a Control Point, a Light Controller, and a Digital TV. The Control Point has been developed on Linux host system by using C language. The UPnP Devices emulating the Digital TV and Light Controller are running on embedded linux developer board. For the development of UPnP Devices, UPnP SDK API Vl.04 made by Intel Co. Ltd. has been ported on Assabet Linux Reference board to implement the UPnP protocol. After we analyze and design some services of Digital TV device, we have applied UPnP Device program to those devices. UPnP SDK vl .04 consists of APIs which support HTTP, SSDP, SOAP, GENA and XML DOM Level-1 that are cores of UPnP protocol. The C program written for the UPnP Control Point has been compiled and executed on Linux-based PC. The embedded system running on Embedded Linux OS has been connected all together through Ethernet which allows IP-based communications. Under this environment, the UPnP programs are being executed on each device. Control Point, when in operational mode, discovers UPnP Devices on the network and displays the device list on the consol. By selecting one of the functionalities of the device services that are displayed on the Control Point, the controllability has been accomplished. The experiment that we performed in this thesis have revealed that the Control Point and UPnP Devices have supported the protocols including SSDP, SOAP, GENA, and DHCP.

  • With the increase of weight and influence of TV drama, Many researchers began to publish papers on TV drama. However, Those papers were mainly about social meaning of TV drama and viewing motives and attitudes of TV audience. However, only a few limited papers were about television image production techniques. The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the relationship between TV genre and image production technique with the data of top 100 of TNS Media Korea from the year 2004 to 2008. This paper found out that history drama uses more closeup, longshot, tracking and less waist shot than other genres, with shorter shot duration and longer scene duration.

  • This paper investigates potential favor and intention for acceptance of digital home services through the situational inducement. The result shows that digital home services for the interactive TV, security management, family management and geographical image affect users' intention for acceptance. And it shows that favorable attitudes of the interactive TV services increase in the younger generation and internet users, favorable attitudes of the family management services increase in the thirties, and favorable attitudes of the medical management services increase in the ages of the fifties. In addition it shows that relationship between favor and intention for acceptance of digital home services affects affirmatively, which was illustrated in the coefficient value (0.661) of the R-square by the regression analysis.

  • 디지털 홈 시대의 도약으로 가정용 TV의 기능과 그 역할이 확대되면서 Digital TV(DTV)가 새로운 가전기기의 하나로 등장하게 되었다. DTV를 통한 디지털 데이터 방송뿐 아니라 웹 컨텐츠의 다양한 활용이 가능하게 되면서 기존의 PC 환경과는 다른 DTV 환경에 적합한 새로운 컨텐츠 표현 규격이 필요해졌다. 이에 다수의 디지털 데이터 방송 표준 단체들이 DTV를 위한 디지털 데이터 방송용 컨텐츠 표현 규격을 제시하고 있고, DTV가 등장하기 이전부터 TV와 웹의 접목 기술을 위한 W3C의 활동도 있어왔다. 또한 양방향 TV 서비스 또는 웹 TV 서비스를 제공하는 방법으로 자체적인 컨텐츠 표현 규격을 정의하고 브라우저 등의 프로그램을 통해서 시청자들에게 TV에 특화된 다양한 웹 컨텐츠를 제공하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 현재까지 제시되어 온 DTV 또는 TV환경을 위한 컨텐츠 표현 규격들을 다양한 관점에서 비교 검토해보고자 한다. 또한 DTV가 가지는 특징들을 살펴봄으로써 TV와 다르고 또한 PC와도 다른 DTV만의 특성을 반영할 수 있는 컨텐츠 표현 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해서 DTV 시장 활성화의 선두 위치에 있는 국내에서 DTV 용 컨텐츠의 표현 규격에 대한 보완 및 발전 방향을 숙고하고, 세계적으로도 앞서가는 인터넷 서비스 시장이 DTV를 통해서 안방에서 보다 효율적이고 간편한 방법으로 다양한 계층의 사용자에게로 확대될 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 한다.

  • As the existing face recognition CCTV and home IOT have each individual hardware component, they have a disadvantage that the measured results of their sensors and the CCTV can not be viewed on one screen at a time. In order to overcome the above disadvantages of existing CCTV and home IOT, this paper proposes an integrated platform which constitutes the CCTV and home IOT as one hardware component using Raspberry Pi and shows each result on one screen through Smartphone application. The proposed integrated platform CCTV and home IOT system is a system which can run the application as a Smartphone and check the sensor value measured by Raspberry Pi and the picture taken through the Pi camera. The implemented system measures temperature, humidity, gas, and dust, and implements face recognition technology on a screen shot through a Pi camera, allowing it to be seen at a glance with a Smartphone.

The Influence on Readability by the Visual Characters Layout at the TV Home Shopping Broadcasting (TV홈쇼핑 방송영상 자막화면 구성이 가독성에 미치는 영향)

  • Visual characters used in television affect the viewers in a different way from printed media. This paper analyzed the visual characters presented in each home shopping channel and their year-by-year characteristics in terms of layouts. Based on the results, the readability was analyzed according to different layouts, suggesting optimal layouts that allows for better communication with the viewers. The purpose of this study is thus to focus on the visual character layouts, which have not been fully explored to date, in order to identify the most effective one among basic locations of visual characters. The results indicate that the bottom location shows higher readability than top. The right side showed higher preference than left, while readability did not demonstrate a significant difference. As for the L-bar and reverse L-bar, the L-bar arrangement was shown preferable in terms of readability. Finally, the layout should be determined considering the readability by location.

Persuasive Communication Strategy of Showhost in TV Homeshopping (TV홈쇼핑 쇼호스트의 구매설득커뮤니케이션 전략)

  • This study analyzed the persuasive marketing communication strategy which applied by showhost for TV homeshopping sales. Specifically, the current study focuses on the comparative analysis of tangible goods and intangible goods sales. Four sales homeshopping TV programs were selected for analysis: two overseas travel package products, one climbing clothes product and one produce of walnut. The method of rhetorical content analysis was conducted to analyze the strategy of persuasive communication. The results shows that , , were commonly used for both tangible and intangible products sales. But , , and were heavily utilized only for intangible products sales. The result of this study can contribute to provide theoretical background for future advanced research, although it has a limitation of only analyzing four sales programs.

A Study on the Impact of Cable TV 8VSB Conversion on Subscriber Retention and Consumer Welfare (케이블TV 8VSB 전환이 가입자 유지 및 소비자 후생에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the impact on the number of cable TV subscribers as well as the profit of cable TV has been examined, and the impact on enlarging the digital broadcast viewing rights of cable TV subscribers and viewers' welfare has also been examined. We investigated the trends in the number of analog and 8VSB subscribers and revenue of cable TV operators by region and analyzed based on changes in the number of channels provided by each operator. The results show that analog subscribers and digital subscribers are delaying their departure through 8VSB conversion, and VOD subscription fees and home shopping transmission fees have a significant impact on operating profit. Subscribers, as they switched over to 8VSB, have become able to view channels of various genres with clear picture quality for a same subscription fee, and the program providers could offer programs to more customers. The government's deregulation policy due to the changes in broadcasting environment led to the facilitation of digital conversion of Pay-TV and improvement of viewers' welfare.
