Real-time Dog Behavior Analysis and Care System Using Sensor Module and Artificial Neural Network (센서 모듈과 인공신경망을 활용한 실시간 반려견 행동 분석 및 케어 시스템)

  • In this study, we propose a method for real-time recognition and analysis of dog behavior using a motion sensor and deep learning techonology. The existing home CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) that recognizes dog behavior has privacy and security issues, so there is a need for new technologies to overcome them. In this paper, we propose a system that can analyze and care for a dog's behavior based on the data measured by the motion sensor. The study compares the MLP (Multi-Layer Perceptron) and CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) models to find the optimal model for dog behavior analysis, and the final model, which has an accuracy of about 82.19%, is selected. The model is lightened to confirm its potential for use in embedded environments.

  • DDoS attack has been continuously utilized that caused the excessively large amount of traffic that network bandwidth or server was unable to deal with paralyzing the service. Most of the people regard NTP as the biggest cause of DDoS. However, according to recently executed DDoS attack, there have been many SSDP attack in the use of amplified technique. According to characteristics of SSDP, there is no connection for making a forgery of source IP address and amplified resources feasible. Therefore, it is frequently used for attack. Especially, as it is mostly used as a protocol for causing DDoS attack on IoT devices that constitute smart home including a wireless router, media server, webcam, smart TV, and network printer. Hereupon, it is anticipated for servers of attacks to gradually increase. This might cause a serious threat to major information of human lives, major government bodies, and company system as well as on IoT devices. This study is intended to identify DDoS attack techniques in the use of weakness of SSDP protocol occurring in IoT devices and attacking scenario and counter-measures on them.

  • As the mobile industry has developed, people have become to pursue more delicate information exchange and close relationships between individuals through it. According to such a request, Social Networking Services have been activated based on short messages. Moreover, in combination with smart phones, the needs for adding location information is recently increasing more and more. Security and Privacy problems, however, are raised because such location information is so sensitive and may be used maliciously by someone else. Especially, storing location information of family members in a public server may become a negative factor to hinder people from utilizing such services. Therefore, this paper proposes a location based SNS service using smart phones for home community that runs on a home server in a house so that relationships between family members at home may be closer and improved through utilizing the service.

  • Sensor network, which is technology to realize the ubiquitous environment, recently, could apply to the field of Mechanic & electronic Security System, Energy management system, Environment monitoring system, Home automation and health care application. However, feature of wireless networking of sensor network is vulnerable to eavesdropping and falsification about message. Presently, PKC(public key cryptography) technique using ECC(elliptic curve cryptography) is used to build up the secure networking over sensor network. ECC is more suitable to sensor having restricted performance than RSA, because it offers equal strength using small size of key. But, for high computation cost, ECC needs to enhance the performance to implement over sensor. In this paper, we propose the optimizing technique for multiplication, core operation in ECC, to accelerate the speed of ECC.

  • A ubiquitous network environment is a system where the user can avail of the network's services anytime, anywhere. To establish such an environment, studies continue being conducted on wireless communication technology and mobile terminals. The company that provides such services should have an established system for authentication, authorization and charging for users. This service is referred to as Authentication, Authorization, Accounting(AAA), and its aspects have been consistently studied. On the other hand, existing studies have been promoted with regard to the authentication and efficiency of the mobile terminal. One of the method is that the mobile terminal contacts to the home authentication server through the external authentication server every time it is required and; another one is to use a medium server to provide authentication in the middle between them. Thus, this study aims to determine the best method to use ticketing, where tickets are provided through a mobile terminal, complete with authentication and authorization features. Also, as it uses ticket, it can efficiently provide mobile verification processing.

  • The OSGi service platform has several characteristics as in the followings. First, the service is deployed in the form of self-installable component called service bundle. Second, the service is dynamic according to its life-cycle and has interactions with other services. Third, the system resources of a home gateway are restricted. Due to these characteristics of a home gateway, there are a lot of rooms for malicious services can be Installed, and further, the nature of service can be changed. It is possible for those service bundles to influence badly on service gateways and users. However, there is no service bundle authentication mechanism considering those characteristics for the home gateway In this paper, we propose a service bundle authentication mechanism considering those characteristics for the home gateway environment. We design the mechanism for sharing a key which transports a service bundle safely in bootstrapping step that recognize and initialize equipments. And we propose the service bundle authentication mechanism based on MAC that use a shared secret created in bootstrapping step. Also we verify the safety of key sharing mechanism and service bundle authentication mechanism using a BAN Logic. This service bundle authentication mechanism Is more efficient than PKI-based service bundle authentication mechanism or RSH protocol in the service platform which has restricted resources such as storage spaces and operations.

  • The IoT technology is a field that applies and converges the technologies in the existing industrial environment, instead of new technologies. The IoT technology is releasing various application services converged with other industries such as smart home, healthcare, construction, and automobile, and it is also possible to secure the work efficiency and convenience of users of IoT-based technologies. However, the security threats occurring in the IoT-based technology environment are succeeding to the vulnerability of the existing wireless network environment. And the occurrence of new and variant attacks in the combination with the ICT convergence environment, is causing damages. Thus, in the IoT technology-based environment, it would be necessary to have researches on the safe transmission of messages in the communication environment between user and device, and device and device. This thesis aims to design a safe communication protocol in the IoT-based technology environment. Regarding the suggested communication protocol, this thesis performed the safety analysis on the attack techniques occurring in the IoT technology-based environment. And through the performance evaluation of the existing PKI-based certificate issuance system and the suggested communication protocol, this thesis verified the high efficiency(about 23%) of communication procedure. Also, this thesis verified the reduced figure(about 65%) of the issued quantity of certificate compared to the existing issuance system and the certificate management technique.

A Research on the Regulations and Perception of Interactive Game in Data Broadcasting: Special Emphasis on the TV-Betting Game (데이터방송 인터랙티브 게임 규제 및 이용자 인식에 관한 연구: 승부게임을 중심으로)

  • This study examines the regulatory issues and introduction problems of TV-betting data broadcasts in Korea by in-depth interview with a panel group. TV-betting data broadcast services of card games and horse racing games are widely in use in Europe and other parts of the world. In order to carry out the study, a demo program of TV-betting data broadcast in the OCAP(OpenCableTM Application Platform Specification) system environment, which is the data broadcasting standard for digital cable broadcasts in Korea was exposed to the panel group and then they were interviewed after watching and using the program. The results could be summarized as below. First of all, while TV-betting data broadcasts have many elements of entertainment, the respondents thought that it would be difficult to introduce TV-betting in data broadcasts as in overseas countries largely due to social factors. In addition, in order to introduce TV-betting data broadcasts, they suggested that excessive speculativeness must be suppressed through a series of regulatory system devices, such as by guaranteeing credibility of the media based on safe security systems for transactions, scheduling programs with effective time constraints to prevent the games from running too frequently, limiting the betting values, and by prohibiting access to games through set-top boxes of other data broadcast subscribers. The general consensus was that TV-betting could be considered for gradual introduction within the governmental laws and regulations that would minimize its ill effects. Therefore, the government should formulate long-term regulations and policies for data broadcasts. Once the groundwork is laid for safe introduction of TV-betting on data broadcasts within the boundary of laws and regulations, interactive TV games are expected to be introduced in Korea not only for added functionality of entertainment but also for far-ranging development of data broadcast and new media industries.
