임계혼합용액에서의 유도 복굴절

  • Nitrobenzene과 Isooctane 임계혼합용액의 정전기장에 의한 유도복굴절을 임계점 근처에서 Oc-Kerr 효과로 관측하여 Kerr 상수가 발산하는 임계특성을 알아 보았다. 그리고 여기서 Kerr 상수에 대한 임계지수와 복굴절의 오름시간에 관계되는 임계지수를 결정하였다. 또한 복굴절 신호를 살펴본 결과 연속적인 정전기장의 펄스에 대해 기억효과가 있음을 보았다.

Antagonistic Interaction between Quinclorac and Bensulfuron-methyl on Growth of the Rice Plants (Quinclorac과 Bensulfuron-methyl의 혼합처리(混合處理)에서 벼의 생장(生長)에 대한 제초제간(除草劑間) 길항작용(拮抗作用))

  • Field and pot expeiments were carried out to evaluate the interaction between quinclorac and bensulfuron-methyl on growth of the rice plants(Oryza sativa L. cv. Choocheongbyeo) at 20, 45, 65 days-old stages. Quinclorac and bensulfuron-methyl showed antagonistic interaction at both stages, which were detected by the Chisaka's method at isobles of 10% growth inhibition. The antagonism indices were -0.63 and -1.67 at 20 and 65 days-old seedling stages, respectively. Leaf-rolling of rice occurred when quinclorac was applied at 600g ai/ha or more at 20 days-old seedling stage, while it occured at the dose of 900g ai/ha at 65 days-old stage. Bensulfuron-methyl reduced plant height and dry weight as well as tiller production at both stages. Leaf-rolling of rice was reduced when mixture of quinclorac and bensulfuron-methyl was applied due to antagonism of the two herbicides. High temperatures increased the phytotoxicity of bensulfuron-methyl, while the phytotoxicity caused by quinclorac alone was not responsive to temperature. The antagonistic effect between quinclorac and bensulfuron-methyl increased at low temperature as tested by the Colby's method.

Assessment of Practical Use of Recycling Oil from the Pyrolysis of Mixed Waste Plastics (혼합폐플라스틱의 열분해를 통한 회수오일의 이용가능성 평가)

  • In Korea, although the generation of waste plastic has been increasing, the rate of recycling is considerably low and moreover, there is no suitable method for the treatment of waste plastics. However, pyrolysis, which is appropriate for the treatment of highly polymerized compounds, such as plastics, has recently gained much interest. In this study, a property of the products from the pyrolysis of mixed waste plastics, with a possible practical use for the recycling oil produced, were assessed. First of all, in order to investigate the pyrolysis characteristic of waste plastics, TGA (Thermogravimetric analysis) and DCS (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) were performed on a number of different plastics, including PP, LDPE, HDPE, PET and PS, as well as others. According to the result, it appeared that PP was the most efficiently pyrolyzed by changing the temperature, followed by LDPE, HDPE, PET, PS and the other plastics, in that order. From the results, the optimum conditions f3r pyrolysis were set up, and the different waste plastics pyrolyzed. The recycling oil produced from the flammable gases generated during the pyrolysis was com-pared with fuel oil by an analysis using the petroleum quality inspection method on KS(Korea industrial Standard). The results of the analysis showed the recycling oil was of a similar standard to fuel oil, with the exception of the ignition point, with a quality somewhere between that of paraffin oil and diesel fuel. With respect to these results, the quality of the recycling oil produced by the pyrolysis of waste plastics was suf-ficient for use as fuel oil.

Characteristics of Cow Milk and Goat Milk Yogurts Fermented by Streptococcus thermophilus LFG Isolated from Kefir (Kefir에서 분리한 Streptococcus thermophilus LFG를 이용한 우유 및 산양유 요구르트의 품질 특성)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of goat and cow milk yogurts containing high-exopolysaccharide fermented by Streptoccous thermophilus LFG isolated from kefir. The pH of cow milk yogurt was higher than that of goat milk yogurt. The contents of lactic acid was greater in goat milk yogurt (743.9-1043.8 mg/100 g) than in cow milk yogurt (441.6-709.9 mg/100 g). The numbers of survival lactic acid bacteria were the greatest in goat milk yogurt fermented by Str. thermophilus LFG. Viscosity was greater in cow and goat milk yogurts cultured by Str. thermophilus LFG than in yogurts by Str. thermophilus TH3. Syneresis of yogurt fermented by Str. thermophilus LFG was 9.6-16.1% and 28.2-31.8% in yogurt fermented by Str. thermophilus TH3 after 10 d storage at $4^{\circ}C$. Flavor compounds identified from goat milk were acetone, ethylbutanoate, ethyl-3-methylbutyrate, ethyl-2-butenoate and ethylhexanoate, and those from cow milk were ethylbutanoate, acetone, 2-heptanone and acetoin. Flavor compounds detected from goat milk and cow milk yogurts were acetic acid, butanoic acid, butanol, diethylcarbinol, acetone, diacetyl, decane, 2-methyl-3-pentanone, hexanal, 2-heptanone, acetoin, benzaldehyde, dimethyldisulfide, and dimethyltrisulfide. In sensory evaluation, overall preference and texture values were higher in goat milk yogurt fermented by Str. thermophilus LFG than in cow milk yogurts and the yogurt fermented by mixed culture resulted in the highest score.

The Study for Manufacturing Technology of Industrial Fuel from Mixed Waste Plastics (혼합폐플라스틱으로부터의 대체연료유 생산기술에 대한 실증연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 3톤/일의 플라스틱 투입량을 기준으로 혼합폐플라스틱으로부터 대체연료유를 생산할 수 있는 소용량 중심의 폐플라스틱 유화설비를 설계 제작하였으며 장기간에 걸친 시운전을 통하여 유화설비의 운전성 평가에 대한 실증연구를 수행하였다. 대상 폐플라스틱으로는 플라스틱 재활용 업체에서 분리 선별된 폴리에틸렌과 폴리프로필렌 그리고 이들을 혼합한 폐플라스틱을 각각 적용하였으며 $400\sim420^{\circ}C$의 분해 운전온도에서 폐플라스틱의 종류에 따른 시운전 평가를 하였다. 본 실증연구로부터 폴리에틸렌의 경우에 있어서는 79%의 재생유 회수율을 그리고 폴리프로필렌의 경우에 있어서는 80%의 재생유 회수율을 각각 얻을 수 있었으며 플라스틱 종류별 안정적인 운전조건을 확보할 수 있었다. 또한 폐플라스틱 투입량에 대한 설계용량과 운전용량과의 비교로부터 약 40$\sim$50%의 설계오차가 발생한 것으로 평가되었으며 이는 유화설비의 설계를 위하여 사용된 혼합폐플라스틱의 부정확한 물성 값에 기인한 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구로부터 얻은 시운전결과를 바탕으로 설계인자들을 확립하는 과정이 반드시 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) has low operating temperature and high efficiency. And PEMFC consists of many components as bipolar plate, gas diffusion layer, membrane etc.. Flow-field in bipolar plate roles path for transporting reactants to membrane. Therefore a design of flow-field has an effect on PEMFC's performance. In this study, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations were performed for comparing mixed multiple serpentine (MMS) flow-field and multiple serpentine (MS) flow-field. And we studied an effect according to change mixing region design in MMS flow-field. Finally the applicability of results is verified by performing CFD simulation about fixed MMS flow-field which is combined good designs.

Analysis on Ignition Delay Time According to the Ratio of Bio-aviation Fuel in Jet A-1 Mixture (바이오항공유의 함량 변화에 따른 점화지연특성 분석)

  • In this study, the ignition delay time of blended aviation fuels was measured and analyzed to confirm the characteristic of ignition delay according to the blending ratio of bio-aviation fuel to petroleum-based aviation fuel. The ignition delay time of bio-aviation fuel(Bio-6308) was shorter than that of petroleum-based aviation fuel(Jet A-1) at all measured temperatures; further, the ignition delay time of the blended aviation fuels shortened as the ratio of Bio-6308 increased. It was confirmed that the aromatic compounds constituting the Jet A-1 affect these results; this was done by comparing the obtained ignition delay time with that of n-heptane/Toluene.

Kluyveromyces marxianus와 Lactobacillus bulgaricus의 혼합 스타터를 이용한 기능성 발효유의 제조

  • 본 연구는 기능성 발효유로서 티벳산 발효유에서 분리한 효모(Kluyveromyces marxianus)와 유산균(Lactobacillus bulgaricus)의 혼합스타터를 이용한 발효유를 제조하여 배양 기간별 균수측정, pH, 적정산도, Alcohol 함량, 항암활성에 대해 알아보았다. 배양은 산도 0.68%, 최종 pH가 4.5가 되는 시점에서 마치게 되는데 이때의 배양 온도는 $30^{\circ}C$, 배양기간은 36시간이었다. 이때의 균수는 K. marxianus는 $5.3{\times}10^9$) CFU/mL, L. bulgaricus는 $3.2{\times}10^9$ CFU/mL였고 Alcohol 함량은 0.35%까지 증가하였다. 36시간 배양하여 제조된 발효유의 항종양 활성은 Hep-2에 대해서는 90.5%, HEC-1B는 86.6%, SW-156은 60.3%, SK-MES-1은 57.14%의 높은 항종양활성을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과 기존의 유산균 발효유에 효모를 첨가한 알코올 발효유의 제조가 가능하며, 제품의 항종양 활성의 측면에서도 높은 기능성을 나타내는 것으로 나타났다.

Study of Research and Development for Seasoning Oil as Red Pepper Seed Oil Substituted: Manufacturing of oil soluble natural black pigment from Gardenia and Kaoliang (고추씨 기름 대체 향미유 개발에 관한 연구: 치자, 고량을 이용한 유용성 천연 검정색소의 제조)

  • Each pigments were obtained by ethyl alcohol extraction method, blue and yellow pigment from Gardenia as well as dark brown pigment from Kaoliang. Concentration of these pigments are all 60 Brix, the extraction yields were 0.68, 1.97, 0.63 %(w/w), respectively. Oil soluble natural black pigment (OSNBP) was composed of soybean oil, water, emulsifier, Gardenia blue and yellow, Kaoliang dark brown etc. Blending ratio of these was 8: 22: 42: 10: 15: 13 (w/w), this mixture was carried out homogenized. Solubility of this OSNBP in soybean oil was appeared the maximum level at about 30∼40$^{\circ}C$ range. OSNBP solubilized black oil was not reseparated at below 20$^{\circ}C$.

Lactobacillus acidophilus KFCC12731와 Kluyveromyces fragilis KFCC35457의 혼합배양을 이용한 대두유의 젖산발효조건

  • L. acidophilus를 대두유에 젖산발효 시킬 때 단독배양과 효모인 K. fragilis와의 혼합배양에 대하여 검토하였다. 젖산의 생성량은 젖산균 단독배양보다는 효모와 혼합배양 하는 것이 2.6배나 많았으며 L. acidophilus를 단독배양 하였을 경우 균의 생육속도와 PH 강하속도는 K. fragilis를 단독배양한 것에 비교하여 늦었다. 그러나 혼합배양 함으로써 생육속도와 PH 강하속도는 K, fragilis를 단독배양한 것보다 빨랐다. 단독 또는 혼합젖산발효에 미치는 온도의 영향을 조사한 결과는 L. acidophilus.는 37$^{\circ}C$, K. frahilis는 3$0^{\circ}C$, 두 균의 혼합배양시는 35-37$^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 산생성이 가장 좋았다. 혼합배양 시 검토한 젖산발효 최적조건은 L. acidophilus와 K. fragilis의 접종비율이 1:5, sucrose 0.5-1.0% SKIMMILK 1.5%를 각각 첨 가한 것이 좋았다.
