This study intended to examine and analyze current status of CD-ROM use in reference and information service in major university libraries. 66 university libraries with holdings of over 200,000 were selected throughout the country, and questionnaires were sent out by mail for data collection. Current status of CD-ROM use, some issues and problems on CD-ROM searching by reference librarians and users, and future trends of CD-ROM use were examined. Few suggestions were made for the effective CD-ROM use in reference and information service.

하천의 건강성을 유지하고 수환경의 정상적인 기능을 회복하기 위해서는 수서생물들에게 알맞은 서식환경 조성, 점오염원 및 비점오염원 차단, 적절한 유량과 같은 다양한 조건이 요구된다(Gore 1895; Gore et al. 1989). 이 중 유량은 수생태계를 이루는 물리적, 화학적, 생물학적 요소들 가운데 기본이 된다고 할 수 있다(Bunn and Arthington 2002; Nilsson and Svedmark 2002; Arthington et al. 2006). 국내 하천관리를 위한 하천유지유량의 산정에서 고려하고 있는 갈수량, 하천생태계, 하천수질 등 8가지 항목 가운데 최근 생태계와 환경에 대한 사회적 국민적 관심이 증가하면서 하천생태계를 고려한 환경유량의 중요성이 부각되었으나, 현실적으로 생태계를 고려한 정량적 조사자료 구축 및 환경유량산정 등의 객관적 자료는 미흡한 실정이다. 특히, 과거 해당수계 및 하천의 어류분포 현황 파악을 중심으로 이루어진 어류조사는 환경유량 산정 시 기초자료로 활용하거나 직 간접적으로 어류상이 변화하는 원인을 분석하는 자료로 활용하기에는 객관성이 결여되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 어류모니터링 기법 확립은 환경유량산정에 있어 요구되는 정량화와 자료의 객관성을 높이기 위한 작업으로 문헌조사와 청문조사를 포함한 사전조사, 현장조사, 조사결과 정리, 고찰 등의 총 4가지 과정을 기본으로 실시하는 것으로 정하였다(그림. 1), 청문조사와 문헌조사 등의 사전조사를 통해 기존자료를 확보하고 현장의 답사, 조사구간, 방법, 시기 등의 선정을 통해 두 번째 단계인 현장조사의 효율성을 높였다. 현장조사에서는 어류분포 현황 외에도 해당지점의 하상재료, 식생, 유속, 수심, 수질 등 조사지점의 수 환경요소 전반을 기록하여 어류의 서식과 물리 화학적 수환경과의 상호관계를 파악하고자 하였다. 마지막으로 고찰단계에서는 조사 대상 지역 전반적인 어류상 특징과 함께 보호종, 한국고유종, 외래도입종 출현유무 및 빈도, 물리적, 화학적 수환경의 특징, 수환경에 따른 어류상 특징 등의 분석과 함께 조사하천의 건강성을 평가하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 어류모니터링 기법 확립을 통해 환경유량산정 시 요구되는 객관적 기초자료를 구축하고 나아가 오염물질 유입, 하천정비사업 등의 각종 교란요인에 의해 발생할 수 있는 문제점들에 능등적으로 대처하고 교란에 의해 악화된 수환경의 복원을 위해 요구되는 객관적 기초자료 생산에 목적이 있다.

그 동안 우리나라 조경수목의 생산현황에 대한 자료는 현재 산림청, 조달청, 한국조경수협회와 발주처별로 매년조사 되고 있으나 통계조사치의 정확성과 신뢰 등이 낮았고 또한 규격별 조사가 행하여 지지 않고 수목의 수령별, 경급별로 조사되어 실용상의 활용가치가 적었다. (중략)

This study covers the basic information of the small libraries nationwide, holding materials, facilities/equipment, human resources, budget, usage/users, and service etc. The survey is divided into 4 steps to produce accurate statistical data and analyze it. As a result, total 3,349 small libraries meet the criteria of the Library Act in 2010. Their holding materials, facilities/equipment, human resources, budget, usage, service program are lack of providing the knowledge information and reading culture service, which is defined in the Library Act. In particular, the majority of small libraries(80%) are in poor condition to operate library facilities/equipment, budget, and their operation. This study proposes some suggestions to overcome the poor condition and to make small libraries prosperous in the near future.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the status and characteristics of Web-based biographical information sources. Hence, this study examined the current status of Web-based biographical sources in China, Taiwan, Japan, and the U.S. It also conducted a comparative analysis of family names from the subject dictionary and Biography of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), reference books of China and the Chinese Historical Biographical Database and the China Biographical Database Project (CBDP) of the U.S. Furthermore, the problems related to status investigation and analyses of the Chinese biographical sources were studied. In this study, some suggestions were made to improve the management and usability of those biographical information sources in China and Korea.

Recently, the South and North Korea have collaborated in the economic cooperation. Success for the cooperation of the South and North Korea has supported the basic and fundamental GIS data building for geographic information (GI) and the land-use of the North Korea. This North Korea GIS project is also vital to facilitate rebuilding and reconnecting socio-economic infrastructures such as reconnecting road and railway networks between the South and North Korea. Thus, this paper emphasizes on the fundamental issues of GIS data building in North Korea area and suggests GI and data establishment methods of the North Korea regions which has not been achieved in GIS research activities in Korea. As the basic GI and data in the North Korea, topographical maps, satellite imageries, and thematic maps were collected and used for surveying of territorial areas of the North Korea. The database of those dataset were built by scanning, image processing, and classifying land-use types. In addition, this paper exacted vector data from the database and included the vector data into the database as other basic GI dataset that enable to analyze quantitative and qualitative territorial land use and development in the North Korea.

거문도 지역의 정보통신망시설에 관한 조사를 하기 위하여 2003년 9월 23일 우리는(연구 책임자인 본인과 연구보조원 2명) 거문도의 통신시설 및 통신상태현황 등을 조사하기 위해 오후 2시 20분 주식회사 온바다 소속의 페가서스호를 타고 여수여객선 터미널을 출발, 오후 4시23분 거문도에 도착, 24일까지 자료수집을 하고 오전 10시 20분 거문도를 출발, 12시 10분 여수에 도착하였다. 여수에 도착하여 다음날(25일) 자료수집을 위해 여수 해양경찰서를 방문하여 통신망에 관한 자료를 수집하였다. (중략)

항만경관은 항만의 특징을 드러내는 매력적인 요소로서 항만재개발에 있어 중요한 요소가 되고있다. 최근에는 항만재개발사업에 있어 항만경관의 중요성을 인식하고 항만 고유의 특색을 살린 수변경관계획 수립을 통해 수변경관을 개선함으로서 사람들이 모이는 매력적인 항만으로 변모하고자 한다. 도심의 친수공간으로서 잠재력이 큰 부산남항은 다양한 수변공간계획 및 개발사업이 추진되고 있지만 관련 기존 항만개발사업은 기능성과 경제성에 초점이 맞추어져 있어 수변경관에 대한 고려가 매우 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 부산남항의 경관을 개선하고 매력적인 항만으로 변모하기 위한 수변경관계획 수립을 하기 위해 기초자료 수집을 목적으로 부산남항을 7개 지구로 구분하고 각 지구의 수변경관(색채, 랜드마크, 야간경관) 현황을 조사하였으며, 조사결과를 토대로 지구별 수변경관의 문제점을 분석하고 개선대책을 제시하였다.

하자발생은 막대한 보수비용과 함께 업체의 이미지와 신뢰성을 실추시키는 한 요인이 되고 있다. 따라서 설비건설업계는 가급적이면 하자발생률을 최대한 낮추기 위해 노력하고 있다. 건축물에서는 특히 공동주택, 주상복합건물에서 하자발생 빈도가 가장 많다. 설비건설업계 A업체의 경우 고급아파트 주거시설의 하자비가 전체의 78% 정도를 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 업체는 지난 3년간 평균 매출액 대비 0.58%의 하자가 발생되어 경영에 어려움을 가중시킨 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 하자가 발생되면 업체 경영에 어려움은 물론 이미지 손상이라는 큰 타격을 주기 때문에 하자발생을 방지하기 위한 노력이 절실하다. 월간「설비건설」은 설비건설업계 하자 중 제일 많이 발생하는 공동주택 하자발생 현황을 조사하여 기획특집으로 마련함으로써 향후 하자발생 예방에 대한 지표를 제시코자 한다. 지난 호에는 설비건설업체들의 하자발생 현황을 분석하여 보았다. 이번 호에는 종합건설업체에서 분석한 하자발생 현황을 게재한다. 업체들이 하자발생 현황을 내놓기 꺼려하기 때문에 본지는 업체명을 게재하지 않았다. 자료를 선뜻 내놓기 쉽지 않았음에도 불구하고 기꺼이 자료제공을 하여 주신 업체들에게 감사의 뜻을 전한다.

This study is to investigate the 7th curriculum of computer education and its implementation by analyzing 1. computer H/W distribution status, 2. number of schools to select computer subject, 3. professional competency of computer teachers, 4. job loads for computer teachers, 5. instructional materials used for computer subjects, 5. problems of curriculum implementation, 7. confronting instructional problems. Data was collected from the survey to 191 teachers who are from teacher in-service programs in July, 2005, in-depth interview and national educational statistics. Suggestions for the curriculum revision were made.
