Analysis of Exposure Dose According to Chest and Abdomen Combine CT Exam Method (CT 흉·복부 통합검사 시 선량분석)

  • The purpose of this study is confirmed to usefulness between division exam and combine exam of chest and abdomen according to comparing chest and abdomen radiation dose of division exam and combine exam in CT exam method. This study was conducted on patients who were admitted to the E hospital from July 2013 to March 2014 underwent CT studies for the diagnosis of chest and abdomen disease. In study result, male dose were more higher than female dose according to gender analysis of exposure dose that combine exam effective dose were male $33.10{\pm}2.75mSv$, female $31.66{\pm}3.12mSv$ and chest exam effective dose were male $9.07{\pm}2.62mSv$, female $8.30{\pm}2.18mSv$(p<0.05). And, division exam dose and combine exam dose were similar in gender comparison (p>0.05). And, combine exam effective dose, only chest exam effective dose, only abdomen exam effective dose were more higher than DRL(Diagnostic Reference Level) in comparison of patient exposure dose with DRL (p<0.05). In conclusion, chest-abdomen combine exam dose and division exam dose were similar. The chest-abdomen combine study can be used as follow-up and emergency trauma patients. That study will be reduce exam time and the occurrence risk of side effect of the contrast medium.

Development of $^{192}Ir$ Small-Focal Source for Non-Destructive Testing Application by Using Enriched Target Material (고농축 표적을 이용한 비파괴검사용 $^{192}Ir$ 미세초점선원 개발)

  • A $^{192}Ir$ small-focal source has been developed by using the HANARO reactor and the radioisotope production facility at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). The small-focal source with the dimension of 0.5 mm in diameter and 0.5 mm in length was fabricated as an aluminum-encapsulated form by a specially designed pressing equipment. For the estimation of the radioactivity, neutron self-shielding and ${\gamma}-ray$ self-absorption effects on the measured activity was considered. From this estimation, it is realized that $^{192}Ir$ small-focal sources over 3 Ci activities can be produced from the HANARO. Field performance tests were performed by using a conventional source and the developed source to take images of a computer CPU and a piece of a carbon steel. The small-focal source showed better penetration sensitivity and geometrical sharpness than the conventional source does. It is concluded from the tests that the focal dimension of this source is small enough to maximize geometrical sharpness in the image taking for the close proximity shots, pipeline crawler applications and contact radiography.

  • With the depletion of high grade coal, it is indispensable to be used co-combustion of low rank coal with bituminous coal in pulverized coal-fired power plants. This study describes the detailed measurements of combustion characteristics of bituminous and subbituminous coal in a 0.7MWth pilot-scale test facility. This experimental works include the measurement of gas temperature, gas concentrations along with the reactor axial and radial distance at the condition of excess air ratio of 1.2. The solid sampling was carried out and analyzed with the combustion of bituminous coal. The main reaction zone of coal flame in a reactor was formed about 1 m from the swirl burner, and at downstream, the fully developed temperature and species distribution was observed. The sampled particles of bituminous coal in a reactor revealed the complete carbon burn-out was achieved just after an main combustion zone.

  • Most of shear wall structures require openings in shear walls and thus shear walls are linked by floor slabs or coupling beams resulting in the coupled shear wall structures. When these structures are subjected to seismic excitations, excessive shear forces are induced in coupling beams. Accordingly, brittle failure of coupling beams may occur or shear walls may yield first. To avoid this problem, damping devices can be installed in coupling beams. It can increase the vibration control effect and improve the seismic resistance performance of the coupled shear wall structure by avoiding stress concentration and the brittle failure of coupling beams. Based on this background research, an LRB (lead rubber bearing) was introduced in the middle of the coupling beam in this study and the authors investigated the seismic response control effect and stress distribution of the proposed system. To this end, a modeling technique that can effectively predict the structural behavior of coupled shear wall structures has been proposed. With this proposed technique, time history analyses of the example coupled shear wall structure subjected to seismic excitation were performed and the vibration control effects of the seismic responses were investigated.

  • We have designed and tuilt the quasioptical system for the dual channel receiver which is used for the simultaneous observation of the cosmic radio with 100GHz band and 150GHz band. The quasioptical system has been widely used to guide the beam for the millimeter and submillimeter waves. A Gaussian distribution of field and power transverse to their axis of propagation allow the simple and elegant theory of Gaussian quasioptics. Using the theory of Gaussian beam, we introduced the analysis of image beam which is applied for a wide range of frequency. In order to guide two beams from the Cassegrain antenna simultaneously, the quasioptical system and its components for the dual channel receiver were designed by using the image beam method. We have checked the characteristics of the quasioptical components and the system by using the heam measurement system, which is made by us. The quasioptical system has been installed in the dual channel receiver on the Cassegrain antenna. The performance of this system has been finally confimed through the successful simultaneous observation with two bands of the cosmic radio.

  • Fat embolism syndrome is a rare clinical diagnosis of dyspnea with acute respiratory failure and neurological signs caused by a traumatic long bone fracture. We report a case of fat embolism in a 22 year-old man after a traffic accident. Dyspnea and stuporous mental changes developed on the $1^{st}$ day after the external fixation operation of a left metaphyseal femur fracture. On the following day, he was transferred from a hospital to this one because of acute respiratory failure. After recovery, macrophages with fat droplets were found in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid 1. It is important to diagnose a fat embolism as the correct cause of acute respiratory failure through the BAL in the acute state of fat embolism syndrome It is believed that clinically apparent or sometimes hidden fat embolism syndrome can be diagnosed from the BAL during the recovery state.

  • 국내 대리석류 석재자원은 지질시대 및 지구조별로 선캠브리아기의 경기육괴와 영남육괴, 시대미상의 옥천대 남서부, 캠브리아-오오도비스기의 옥천대 북동부, 그리고 일부 기타시대의 옥천대 북동부 등으로 분류될 수 있다. 전자는 변성퇴적암류내에 협재된 결정질 석회암, 화강암질 편마암내 포획된 결정질 석회암 등s으로 경기육괴의 포천, 김포, 온수리, 목계와 신림도폭 그리고 영남육괴의 춘양, 현동, 울진, 중평동, 장기리와 장계도폭 등이 해당된다. 시대미상암류는 옥천대 남서부로서 목계, 충주, 괴산, 강경, 남원과 송정도폭, 그리고 캠브리아기는 풍촌석회암으로 임계, 호명, 서벽리도폭 등기 해당된다. 오오도비스기는 정선석회암이 분포하는 석병산, 평창, 정선과 임계도폭, 화천리층이 분포하는 문경도폭, 그리고 황강리도폭 등디 해당한다 기타시대는 시대미상의 각력질 석회암과 상부석탄기의 홍점층군내 협재하는 결정질 석회암으로, 이들은 각각 정선도폭과 석병산도폭에 위치한다. 선캠브리아기, 시대미상, 캠브리아기 및 오오도비스기 대리석류의 물성 중에서 흡수율과 공극율은 선캠브리아기, 오오도비스기, 시대미상과 캠브리아기의 순으로 점차 감소한다. 이들의 공극율은 비중에 대하여 대체로 불규칙하며, 흡수율은 공극율에 대하여 거의가 뚜렷한 정의 상관관계를 이룬다. 압축강도는 공극율에 대하여 다소 불규칙한, 그리고 인장강도에 대하여 정의 상관관계를 이룬다. 그리고 마모경도는 압축강도와 인장강도에 대하여 대체로 뚜렷한 정의 경향을 각각 보인다. 이들 대리석류는 선캠브리아기 중경암-경암, 시대미상 중경암-경암, 캠브리아기 거의가 중경암-경암, 그리고 오오도비스기는 경암에 각각 해당한다.하고 구현 단계의 문제점들과 해결책을 기술한다. 다 솔레노이드방식 감압건조장치로 건조한 표고버섯으로 품위에 대한 유의성 검증결과, 표고버섯의 경우 온도별로는 색택과 복원률, 건조실 내부 압력별로는 수축률, 복원률에서 유의차가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 라. 본 연구에서 구명된 감압건조특성을 기초로 하여 배치식 감압건조기를 설계 제작에 활용하고자 한다.ational banks.   • With the rapid advance of the semiconductor and Information and communication technologies, remote environment monitoring technology, which can detect and analyze surrounding environmental conditions with various types of sensors and wireless communication technologies, is also drawing attention. However, since the conventional remote environmental monitoring systems require external power supplies, it causes time and space limitations on comfortable usage. In this study, we proposed the concept of the self-powered remote environmental monitoring system by supplying the power with the levitation-electromagnetic generator (L-EMG), which is rationally designed to effectively harvest biomechanical energy in consideration of the mechanical characteristics of biomechanical energy. In this regard, the proposed L-EMG is designed to effectively respond to the external vibration with the movable center magnet considering the mechanical characteristics of the biomechanical energy, such as relatively low-frequency and high amplitude of vibration. Hence the L-EMG based on the fragile force equilibrium can generate high-quality electrical energy to supply power. Additionally, the environmental detective sensor and wireless transmission module are composed of the micro control unit (MCU) to minimize the required power for electronic device operation by applying the sleep mode, resulting in the extension of operation time. Finally, in order to maximize user convenience, a mobile phone application was built to enable easy monitoring of the surrounding environment. Thus, the proposed concept not only verifies the possibility of establishing the self-powered remote environmental monitoring system using biomechanical energy but further suggests a design guideline.

A CLINICAL STUDY ON MANDIBULAR MOVEMENT AFTER ORTHOGNATHIC SURGERY (악교정 수술환자의 술전후 하악운동 양상변화에 관한 임상적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship of the factors which could be influenced by orthognathic surgery especillay SSRO. We measured the amounts of the maximum opening, lateral movements, maximum velocity and pattern of mandibular path during the opening and closing of mandible at the following times ; preoperative, 1 month after operation, 6 months after operation respectively using MKG. And the results were compared according to the categorized subgroups. Following results were obtained : 1. The change of the amounts of mandibular lateral movement and maximum opening velocity were statistically different between male and female (p<0.05), but the others were not. 2. According to the method of operation, there was no difference in the change of the mandibular movements between the group of SSRO and SSRO plus LeFort I osteotomy (p>0.05). 3. According to the amounts of mandibular movement, the recovery of left lateral movement of the group of $6{\sim}10mm$ was better than the other groups (p<0.05). 4. In the frontal pattern of the opening and closing of the mandible, the complex deflected type (F5), simple deflected type (F4), complex deviated type (F3), simple deviated type (F2), straight type (F1) were obtained in order at the time of preoperative, simple deflected type, simple deviated type, complex deviated type, straight type, complex deflected type in order at the time of 1 month after surgery, and the result at the time of 6 months after surgery was the same with that of the time of preoperative. In the sagittal pattern, non-coincident type (S2) was predominant at the time of preoperative, and coincident type (S1) was predominant at the time of 1 month after surgery. After 6 months, the result was also the same with that of the preoperative in sagittal pattern. 5. There was not a statistical difference in the change of the mandibular movement between group of presence of the preoperative TMJ symptoms and non-presence group (p>0.05). 6. There was not a statistical difference in the change of the mandibular movement between repositioning device applied group and non-applied group (p>0.05). 7. Sixty three percents of the patients who had preoperative TMJ symptoms were improved after surgery and preoperative TMJ symptoms were more improved after operation in the repositioning device non-applied group statistically (p<0.05).

A Study on the Improvement Plan through Current Status of Historical Park in Seoul (서울시 역사공원의 현황 고찰을 통한 개선 방안 도출)

  • In this study, six historical parks in Seoul is analyzed. Based on the analysis, the representative values of the historical parks in Seoul draw three criteria such as historicity, educational attributes, and sociality, and also the type of historic and cultural resources, spatial functions and arrangements, circulation and accessibility, and the type and usage of introduced facilities. Consequently the current status and improvement plan is suggested as follows. First, cultural assets oriented historical parks such as Sayuksin Bongeun and Seonnongdan historical Park focus on the management based on the preservation of historic and cultural resources. Non designated cultural heritages oriented historic parks such as Shingye Yanghwajin Itaewon-bugundang historic park should focus on the usages the symbolize and commemorate historic and cultural resources. Second, Careful attitudes on the historicity of the park are needed in the mixed type of historic and cultural resources that determine the identity such as Yanghwajin Itaewon-bugundang historic park. Third, the rate of facilities in Bongeun and Shingye historical park is increased due to the renovation of religion facilities, rather than the neighborhood parks. The autonomy of regulations that does not have the limits of the area of park facilities weaken the publicity of the historical parks. Fourth, Shingye historical park suggest changing its name into Danggogae martyrs' shrine historical park. because its historic and cultural resources are included as the historic park is named. Fifth, the current problems such as numerous uncontrolled entrances, mixed uses in circulation, and accessible failure due to the closure are recognized. Therefore, the entrances and circulations should be articulated clearly in order to increase opportunities of experience for visitors in the historic and cultural resources, and also neighborhood facility should be suitably divided. Sixth, the park facilities in the neighborhood parks are introduced equally in Seoul historical parks. The uses and arrangements that considered the circumstance of the historical parks should be determined in the cultural facilities such as outdoor music hall and sporting facilities. Seventh, historic facilities that named historic hall, culture hall, memorial hall, and promotion hall in the historic parks are utilized for convenience and religion facilities. Institutional framework should be examined to keep publicity in the historic parks by spatial privatization of the specific group.
