Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) endeavor to overcome the adverse resource conditions and secure competitive advantage through technological innovation capability. Prior studies have focused on the overall or specific dimensions of technological innovation capability, and examined their performance impact. However, there has been less scholarly attention on the dynamic characteristics such as the relative importance of technological innovation capability or its performance impact at the different growth stages of a firm. In this vein, this study investigates the relationship between SME innovation capability and innovation performance at each growth stages of a firm. Based on the empirical analysis of manufacturing SMEs in Korea, we found that all dimensions of technological innovation capability had positive effects on innovation performance. However, each dimension of technological innovation capability had different effect on innovation performance by the growth stages. The planning capability can improve innovation performance at the growth and maturity stages. Manufacturing capability can have positive effect on innovation performance at the maturity stage. Both of new product development capability and commercialization capability contribute to innovation performance at all of the growth stages. This study suggests the guidelines for enhancing technological innovation capability at the different growth stages of SMEs. It also provides policy implications for the design and operation of growth-stage specific programs. Finally, the limitations of the research and future research directions are presented.

본 논문은 온라인 커뮤니티를 통해 사용자들이 정보교류와 의사소통을 활발히 전개하여 사용자혁신 (User Innovation)을 촉진하는 사례들과 이와 관련된 현안 이슈들, 그리고 기업의 사용자혁신 활용 전략을 다루고 있다. 특히 인터넷의 보급과 확산을 통해 사용자들이 온라인 커뮤니티를 형성하고 상호 교류할 수 있는 장이 마련되어 사용자혁신이 더욱 활성화 될 수 있으므로, 휴대기기 산업에서 이러한 사례를 발굴하여 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 MP3 플레이어 산업에서 기업이 온라인 커뮤니티를 통해 고객정보를 어떻게 획득/처리/활용하는지, 그리고 스마트폰인 블랙잭 제품에서 어떤 과정을 통해 사용자혁신이 이루어지는 지를 사례연구 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 1)온라인 커뮤니티에서 사용자의 역할과 (정보공유, 아이디어 창출, 문제해결, 정보취합, 제품테스트, 사용의견 제시, 제품홍보 등) 기업의 대응전략, 2)기업과 고객간 커뮤니케이션 패턴 (질문/불평/사용후기 및 피드백/시제품/공지 등) 특성, 3)온라인 커뮤니티 내에서 사용자간 커뮤니케이션 패턴과 현안, 4)온라인 커뮤니티 활성화를 통한 신제품개발 촉진방안 등으로 구분하여 제시되었다. 마지막으로 이러한 사용자혁신 사례를 바탕으로, 사용자혁신을 촉진하고 신제품개발과정에서 사용자의 참여를 강화할 수 있는 정책적 함의를 정리하였다. 특히 개방형 혁신이 강조되는 상황에서 사용자혁신은 개방형 혁신의 한 형태도서도 의미가 있으며, 향후 더 많은 사례연구와 실증분석이 요구된다.

벤처기업의 활성화에 따라 제기된 지적재산권을 포함한 기술의 경제적 가치평가방법에 대한 새로운 접근방법을 제시하였다 본 연구에서 제시하고 있는 지적재산권 특히 특허기술의 가치평가방법은 기술의 특성을 반영한 개별기술별 기술이전가치 측정에 있으며 추상적인 논의보다는 구체적인 사례를 중심으로 방법론을 적용시키고 있다 이는 기존의 기술가치평가방법론으로 사용되어온 정서적 가치평가방법에서 정량적인 사례를 제시함으로써 새로운 기술평가기법연구의 발전적인 계기를 마련하였다.

현대사회가 당면한 다양한 문제를 해결하는 주체로 '제4섹터(the fourth sector)'가 주목받고 있다. 제4섹터는 사회적경제 기업으로 대표되는 제3섹터의 지나친 정부 의존도와 서비스 모델 동형화의 문제점을 해결하고자 등장하였다(Meadows, 1972; Howaldt and Schwarz, 2010). 이러한 제4섹터의 핵심 주체로서 소셜벤처가 언급되고 있다(경기연구원, 2018). 그러나 아직까지 소셜벤처에 대한 학술적 및 정책적 개념이 모호한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사회의 포용적 성장을 도모하기 위해 제4섹터로서의 소셜벤처 정의와 특성을 명확히 하고, 소셜벤처 생태계 활성화를 위한 발전전략을 연구하고자 한다.

본 연구는 ICT 기술 중심의 연구개발조직에서 기술혁신의 인프라로서 전략기술로드맵(STRM)의 추진에 있어 주요한 성공요인을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 전략기술로드맵의 개념과 특성을 밝히고 실제 기술개발조직에서 추진되어지는 프로세스와 실제 추진 성공요인을 조직역량이론을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 이러한 이론적 연구를 통하여 전략기술로드맵 추진성공에 영향을 미치는 주요 명제들을 도출하였다. 이를 통해 기술혁신을 추구하는 연구개발조직에서는 전략기술로드맵 성공을 위한 상위경영층의 지원, 핵심기술도출 및 로드맵 추진의 적절성 및 기술정보활용을 위한 조직내 역량을 강화시켜야 함을 고찰할 수 있었다. 전략기술로드맵(STRM) 추진시 성공을 위한 제반 조직적 요인을 고찰한 본 연구는 향후 기술역량의 지속적 탐색과 활용 및 기술혁신의 인프라로서 기술로드맵을 추진하려는 연구개발 조직에게 큰 함의를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

컴퓨터 기술의 혁신적인 발전과 더불어 통신망의 결합은 기업에 새로운 변화를 가져왔다. 기업들은 이러한 혁신적인 정보기술을 이용하여 경쟁적 우위를 유지하고 창출하기 위해서 이를 활용하였다. 따라서 기업 내에 차지하는 정보기술의 중요도는 과거 어느 때보다 중요한 위치를 차지하게 되었다. 이러한 기업의 환경변화에 따라 기업들이 조직 내에 정보기술을 수용하게 되면서 자신의 조직을 효과적으로 지원해 줄 수 있는 정보시스템을 개발하여 구축하고, 이를 관리하는데 있어 어려움을 겪게 되었다. 이런 과정에서 정보기술의 아웃소싱이 필요하게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 아웃소싱의 유형과 정보기술의 역할, 정보기술 수준에 따라서 유의한 차이를 발견하고, 한국에 아웃소싱의 현황에 대해서 고찰해보고자 한다.

웹 기술의 발전과 스마트폰 이용자 수의 증가는 소비자와 기업 간의 관계를 혁신적으로 변화시키고 있다. 기업이나 공공기관들은 고객들과 커뮤니케이션 효과를 극대화 하기 위해 새로운 크로스미디어 플랫폼으로 등장한 소셜미디어를 적극적으로 활용하고 있다. 블로그, 페이스북, 인스타그램 등 더욱 다양하지고 변화의 속도가 빨라지는 소셜미디어 트렌드 속에서 기업들은 채널의 특성에 따라 어떠한 콘텐츠가 소비자에게 만족과 구매에 중요한 영향을 미치는지 체계적인 분석과 운영전략이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 기업 마케팅의 활용 관점에서 블로그와 SNS 채널 특징에 따라 콘텐츠 유형의 만족도를 비교 분석하고, 이용자의 개인 특성에 따라 채널별로 어떠한 차이가 있는지에 관한 전략적 틀과 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 소비자와 판매자 간의 커뮤니케이션 방법에 따라 소셜미디어 콘텐츠를 홍보성, 정보성, 소통성 유형으로 구분하여 블로그 페이스북, 인스타그램의 소셜미디어 채널별로 소비자 만족도를 조사하고자 한다. 또한, 인터넷 이용자의 개인 특성에 따라 선호하는 SNS 콘텐츠 유형이 다를 수 있음에 착안하여 SNS를 이용하는 사용자의 특성을 네 가지 형태로 분류하고 특성에 따른 만족도의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 다양한 소셜미디어 채널을 활용하고자 하는 기업들에게 효율적인 SNS 마케팅 전략구축 방안과 인터넷 이용자 특성을 고려한 콘텐츠 활용 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

Using small and medium sized firms located on 3th seongseo industry complex in Daegu, this study investigated the effects of technology development factors on innovation performance, and suggested the implications in terms of technology policies. Technology development factors are categorized into both fundamental based factors and external cooperation based factors as independent variables. According to the research results, external cooperation based factor positively affects innovation performance, and this positive effect is reported in firms having more than average firm size. Under environment uncertainty, external cooperation based factor plays a key role to increase innovation performance to firms having more than average firm size. Therefore, policy making should be focused on external cooperation, not on fundamental base such as people and infrastructure, and also dissimilar policy suggestion based firm size is needed to be considered.

Lately innovation is perceived as a systemic, horizontal phenomenon and requires a new governance for innovation. Subsequently, broader societal questions enter the domain of innovation policy and coordination and integration between innovation policy and various other policy domains, such as economic, educational, social, regional and environmental policies become crucial. Definitions of policy integration include terms such as coherence, cooperation, coordination and put great emphasis on joint working to promote synergies among policies and reduce duplication and the use of the same goals to formulate policy. As innovation capabilities of the private sector have improved and it has become unclear who to catch up with, the Korean government, a leading player in the process of "catch-up," is likely to have more difficulties in maintaining the old way of planning and executing policies. The Korean government is now under the pressure of planning technologies and policies that do not allow any easy imitation or copy of other advanced countries longer, which in turn reveals various limits of the existing policy framework. Policy integration involves a continual process demanding changes in political, organizational and procedural activities. To ensure long term and cross sectoral innovation policy, overall change and improvement in policy and its implementation needed in terms of political commitments, governance systems, policy instruments and monitoring, and evaluation systems.
