현대 패션에 표현된 남성 헤어스타일에 관한 연구 -2000년대 중심으로- (A Study of Male Hairstyle on the Modern Fashion -Focused on the since 2000's-)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends and features of male fashion and hair style image and thereby, determine the relationship between fashion and hair styles, and thus, provide for some basic data for future studies about male hair styles as well as for new male hair style trends. For this purpose, relevant literature was extensively reviewed including some visual materials. The major references for this study were domestic and foreign books, journals and preceding studies about fashion and hair. The visual materials referred to for this study were domestic magazines specialized in fashion and hair, visual data supplied by hair product brands, Korea Beauty Parlor Journal, Beauty and Cosmetic Newspaper, Beauty Today, and such fashion special websites as $S{\cdot}F{\cdot}I,\;C{\cdot}F{\cdot}T$, firstview.com, fashionwide.com, etc. Based on the results from a questionnaire survey of master or Ph degree holders of apparel science, reputed designer were sampled and then, 80 works were finally sampled from their collections published between January, 2002 and April, 2005. As a result of analyzing the images shown in modern male apparel and hair style fashions by classifying them into natural, restored, folklore and eclectic ones, it was confirmed that both male apparels and hair styles have been reinterpreted in modern terms depending on social and cultural settings to be expressed as new styles, and in particular, that male hair styles have evolved diversely into new styles depending on fashion tendencies, while having been versatile in some relationships with their fashion tendencies.

  • Recently the hair style of Michelle Obama, the world's most recognized First Lady of the United States has been loved by the public with her optimistic confidence and as a fashion leader. For Michelle Obama's hair styles by length, a medium-short cut style was expressed in various ways to show her strong will by exposing the forehead, an elegant image by asymmetry hair, or a progressive image by a short volume hair cut. A medium cut style expressed an elegant and intelligent image in shoulder-length and a trendy image using a side parting. A updo hair style produced young, womanly, and casual images using twisting, binding, typing up, and rolling technique according to situations. For hair styles associated with her roles, when participating as a diplomatic delegate, she expressed the President's helpful partner by a soft and womanly image using bobbed hair and half updo technique. For the participation in state occasions, her hair styles were examined in three situations. First of all, she mainly had a neat style, exposing her forehead in official schedules as a political partner to create an intelligent and high-class image. Second, she expressed a strong will with a medium-short style during an election campaign. Finally, she showed an elegant and refined hair style in consideration of T.P.O. during social activity. Michelle Obama overcame her hair's handicap, grasped her images associated with hair length, and expressed hair strategically according to her roles as the first African-American First Lady of the United States.

네크라인과 헤어스타일이 얼굴 이미지 및 형태 지각에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Neckline-Hairstyle Combinations on the Perception of Face Image and Type)

  • This study focuses on the visual effects of various neckline-haristyle combinations on the perception of face image and type. The study employed a model with oval face and examined 35 combinations made up of five necklines and seven hairstyles. Looking at various face images depending upon different necklines, in case of round, V, boat square, and high necklines, long wave hair and medium wave hair produced a feminine image of marked individuality; long straight hair that covers the forehead and medium straight hair gave an image of charm and purity as well as an image of neatness; and long straight hair short cut hair showed an intellectual image. Regarding the perceptual type of face depending upon the different necklines of round, V, square, and high, the long straight hair covering the forehead and medium wave hair had the effect of an optical illusion that made the face look short and round; and short cut hair made the face line look distinct and the face look oval and slender.

한국과 중국 SNS에 나타난 신부웨딩스타일 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Bridal Wedding Styles Appeared in Korean and Chinese SNS)

  • This study compares and analyzes bridal wedding styles in Korean and Chinese SNS. For this, 715 photos (362 in Korea and 353 in China) collected on social media (Instagram and Xiaohongshu) were used for analysis. The bridal wedding style was divided by item into wedding dress, makeup, and hairstyle, and detailed characteristics of images and designs were examined through content analysis and statistical analysis. First, in the case of Korea, many wedding dresses showed ball gowns and mermaid silhouettes, white colors, and no details and trimmings. As for the makeup, transparent and natural skin expression, straight eyebrows, and pink and peach lip colors were highlighted; and as for hairstyles, many long hair with half-covered ears appeared. Second, in China, a ball gown, mermaid silhouette, and white color are often seen in wedding dresses, and point colors and use of various details and trimmings are noted. The makeup showed a lot of bright skin expression, brown and black eyebrows, and red and brown lip colors. As for hairstyle, a lot of long hair with completely exposed ears appeared. Third, the comparison of bridal wedding styles between Korea and China indicated that China used relatively more details and trimmings in wedding dresses. As for makeup, Korea has a natural image, and China has a classic image. As for the hairstyle, there were many styles in which Koreans had half the ears covered, and Chinese had no bangs and completely exposed ears.

  • In the 17th century, men's hair style showed a dramatical change to thick hair style with femineity. During the 17th century, men wore their hair longer than at any other time in the history of western culture. Men's hairs in the early 17th century were defined as short hair style influenced by ruff collar of renaissance and thick beards and moustaches During the mid 17th century, shoulder-length hair style was predominant over all classes. As hair style became long, beards and moustaches gradually declined in favour: from 1625, small neat beards, and moustaches turned up at the ends, got progressively smaller, and by 1650 the beard was only small tuft on the chin, disappearing completely by 1680. In the late 17th century, very long, thick and shiny hair got a great popularity with the gorgeous and decorative baroque costume dominated over the entire Europe. The habit of adding false hair when natural hair was deficient led to the introduction of the periwig, which became an essential part of a fashionable man's attire. Wiggery were widely used to express curled and puffed hairs more exaggerated. As the long hair style with wiggery became popular, various style of beard and moustache got smallar so that they were ended up in entire disappearance in the end of the 17th century.

메이크업과 헤어스타일 유형에 따른 TV 뉴스 여자 앵커의 인상형성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the TV Female Anchor's Image according to the Make Up and Hair Style)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide data that can be used to suggest idealistic anchor's image to capture ratings for the news program and to suggest guide for casting and training anchors for the broadcasting stations by examining the idealistic looks and images of TV news anchors by asking the general viewers who watch TV, The research methods was questionnaire survey. The subjects were 839 male and female audiences in theire 20's and 40's who residing in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The study results are as follows: 1) The factors that decide impression of a female anchor The factors that decide female anchor's impression were 'specialty factor, friendliness factor, elegance factor, dynamic factor, and attractiveness factor'. 2) The difference in formation of impression according to makeup and hair style of a female anchor In case of specialty and friendliness factors scored high when putting on natural makeup, dynamic factors scored high when putting on elegant makeup, and attractiveness factor when putting on natural and romantic makeup. All factor were high when a female anchor had short-cut style and straight hair 3) Formation of anchor's impression from makeup and hair style according to the perceiver's variables (gender and age) Male and female audiences both gave hish score for a female anchor's specialty such as 'confident and reliable' and friendliness such as 'warm and comfortable' when a female anchor puts on natural makeup. They gave high score for attractiveness factor such as' good impression and refined' when putting on romantic makeup and high score for dynamic factor such as 'positive and confident' when putting on elegant makeup. Both male and female audiences gave high score fur all except friendliness factor when a female anchor had short-cut style compared to bobbed hair and high score far specialty factor when a female anchor had straight hair. The audiences both in their 20's and 40's gave high score for specialty and friendliness when a female anchor put on natural makeup while the perceivers at their 20's gave high score for elegance and dynamic factor when a female anchor put on elegant makeup. The audiences both in their 20's and 40's gave high score for all factors when female anchor had short-cut hair.

헤어 패션 감각(感覺)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) - 수도권(首都圈) 대학(大學) 여학생(女學生)을 대상(對象)으로 - (A Study on the hair fashion feeling - Objecting to capital area university women students -)

  • This study aims to know the deferences of hair fashion feeling group in accordance with hair styling activities, general characteristics, life styles objecting to capital area university women students and aid to hair fashion design. So the results are as belows. 1. Frequency Analysis of Categories A. Hair fashion feeling - Natural, sexy, romantic pretty, sophisticate, ethnic are 90% in total hair fashion feeling variables in sequence of frequency, so it can be said these are in vogue. B. Hair styling activities - The objections visit the hair salon once 1-2months, spend about 42,000 won a month, perform cut & wave perm to sentimental reasens & hair style changes, determine the hair style well coordinated in her image and managed easily. In her home, they manage her hair style 12 minutes a day, spend 17,000 won to buy hair aids, do hair blow dry or pin or pony tail mainly in the morning, scarcely use the hair styling aids but if use, essence or wax mainly. And the degree of interest to hair style is high. C. General Characteristics - The objections's average age is 21.1, residence is seoul kangnam 23.3%, seoul kangbook 18.4%, other capital areas 58.4%, the degree of education is university students 94.9%, graduated student 5.1%, marriage is married 96%, unmarried 2.8%, family who live with is married are mainly man & woman and living with father & mother in low in man's, unmarried are mainly live alone & nuclear family, personal expenses a month is 300,000 won in average, income of home is 4,000,000 won a month. D. Life style - The objections are not in interest of physical exercises but if are, do yoga & health, like drama & comedies program, watch TV or meet friend in leisure time, like balad & dance music, fashion magazine, meet friend in cafe or college. 2. Relationship of hair fashion feeling & other variables Using the $x^2$-test, level p<0.05, Hair styling activities(frequency of hair salon coming in and out, ordinary time representing hair style, preferred hair styling aids, the amount of hair style interest), General Characteristics(age), Life style(leisure time) variables are meaningful.

테크토닉 문화와 패션에 대한 연구 (A Study on Tecktonik Culture and Fashion)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 테크토닉 문화 및 패션의 특징을 파악하고, 한국과 프랑스에서 테크토닉 문화와 패션이 갖는 특수성을 밝히는 것이다. 특히 그 동안 주로 연구되었던 영 미권이 아닌 한국에서 하위문화가 어떻게 확산, 향유되는지에 주목하였다. 테크토닉은 2000년 프랑스 파리의 한 클럽에서 등장한 댄스 장르이자 음악 장르로, 인터넷을 통해 전 세계적으로 전파되었다. 테크토닉 패션은 슬림한 라인, 강렬한 색상, 하이탑 스니커즈를 특징으로 하는데, 이러한 패션 스타일은 동시대 패션의 흐름과 맞물리면서 테크토닉 댄스와 음악의 성격을 표현한다. 프랑스와 비교하여, 한국 테크토닉 패션 스타일은 남성의 경우 진한 메이크업과 모히칸 헤어를 잘 시도하지 않으며, 여성은 짧은 치마로 섹시함을 강조하는 경향이 있다. 테크토닉의 발생지인 프랑스에서는 테크토닉이 긍정적인 사회적 놀이문화로서 자리매김했으나, 한국의 테크토닉은 그 이미지만이 차용되어서 연예인의 패션 스타일이나 광고 수단으로 상품화되었다. 하위문화로서 테크토닉은 놀이성, 상품성, 디지털 통신매체의 적극적인 이용이라는 특수한 성격을 가진다. 테크토닉을 즐거운 댄스에 참여하는 것으로 여기는 프랑스에서는 놀이성이 두드러지고, 테크토닉을 시각적인 흥미요소로 여기는 한국에서는 상품성이 두드러진다. 이러한 성격의 차이가 두 나라의 테크토닉 패션에 차이를 가져왔다.

실물사진과 컴퓨터그림에 의한 남성 캐주얼웨어 이미지 지각 연구 (A Study on the Image Perception of Men's Casual Wear Using Photograph and Computer Simulation Picture)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the types and the colors of men's casual wear, hairstyles, and the methods of stimulus manufacture on men's image perception. The subjects were 360 women from the metropolitan area of Seoul. The clothing types used for the study were a sweater and a jumper(casual jacket) with jean pants. The clothing colors were beige, indigo, and red. Two hairstyles, the short and the medium length hairs, were compared. Two types of stimuli, the photograph and the computer simulation picture, were used. The results of the factor analysis disclosed five dimensions on men's image: neatness, individuality, ability, activity, and sociability. In general, the photograph stimuli were evaluated more positively in activity, individuality, and sociability than the picture stimuli. The sweaters were perceived higher in ability, activity, and sociability than the jumpers. The Indigo color was evaluated as neat. The medium length hairstyles were perceived as neat and the short hairstyles were perceived as sociable. The jumpers were evaluated lower in individuality in the picture stimuli than in the photograph stimuli. The beige and indigo colors were evaluated to be neater in the picture stimuli than in the photograph. When using the picture stimuli, the men's image wearing the sweaters with the medium length hairstyles were evaluated lower in individuality. When using the photograph stimuli, the men's image wearing the sweater with the short hairstyles were evaluated higher in activity. Men's image wearing the indigo jumper and the beige sweater with medium length hairs were evaluated as high in neatness.

중학생의 자아개념과 외모관리행동 연구 (A study on the self-concept and the appearance management behavior in middle school students')

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 자아개념, 즉 일반자아, 학문자아, 중요타인자아, 정의자아개념에 따라 외모관리행동인 의복스타일추구, 화장 및 피부관리, 헤어관리, 성형 및 체형보정, 체중관리행동에 어떠한 차이가 나타나는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 특히 가정이나 학교 등의 생활 지도 현장에서 중학생의 외모관리행동은 세대 간의 의견차가 보이는 영역이므로, 이 연구를 통해 중학생의 외모관리행동을 이해할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하였으며, 가정교과교육을 통한 자아개념의 증진 방안을 모색하는데 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 본 연구를 시행하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같았다. 본 연구의 조사대상자인 중학생들은 평균적으로 자아개념이 낮아 자신을 부정적으로 인식하고 있었으며 외모관리 행동 또한 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 자신을 긍정적으로 볼 수 있는 노력과 함께 외모관리행동을 통한 자아개념의 긍정적 증진이 필요하다고 하겠다. 긍정적 자아개념을 가지고 있는 중학생들은 피부를 청결하게 유지하는 것이나 헤어를 아름답게 손질하고 가꾸는 것 등으로 자신을 나타내려하며, 옷, 신발, 가방을 잘 갖추어 입고 깨끗하게 관리함으로써 스스로의 자존감이나 개성을 표현하려고 하였다. 또한 자신을 인식할 때 공부와 학업에 대해 긍정적 태도를 보이며, 중요시되는 타인과의 관계를 원만하게 지각하고, 자신의 신체나 정서에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 보이는 중학생들은 의복에 대해 높은 관심을 가지고 자신이 추구하는 이미지를 나타내려는 행동이 높은 반면, 성형이나 체형 등 자신의 신체를 인위적으로 변경시키려는 행동은 적게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 적절한 외모관리행동은 자신을 긍정적으로 보는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
