다중 프로세서의 캐쉬 메모리

  • 다중프로세서의 캐쉬 메모리 구현에서 가장 중요한 부분은 데이터의 동일성을 유지하는 방법이다. 그러나 프로세서-메모리 연결 방법(interconnection network)과 프로세서의 수에 따라 동일성 유지는 다양한 형태로 구현된다. 또한 그것은 시스팀의 성능과 구현의 난이도에 중대한 영향을 주므로 시스팀의 여러 면을 고려하여 형태가 정해진다. 본 논문은 공유 버스를 갖는 밀결합 다중프로세서의 캐쉬메모리의 구현에 관한 것이다. 이미 여러 다중프로세서에서 캐쉬메모리가 개발된 예가 있지만 한국전자통신연구소에서 개발중인 행정전산망 주전산기에 사용될 캐쉬 메모리는 Illinosis 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜과 copy-back 방법을 사용하는 특징을 갖는다. 캐쉬 메모리의 설계 목표를 공유 버스에 최대 20개의 MC68030를 연결할 수 있는 다중 프로세서에서 프로세서수가 증가함에 따라 버스 사용량이 급증하는 현상을 막고 각 프로세서의 메모리 요구를 고속으로 처리해 줌으로써 프로세서의 처리 능력을 최대한 살리는데 두었다.

  • TICOM은 국내에서 독자적으로 설계, 개발한 수퍼미니급 컴퓨터 시스템이다. TICOM은 다중프로세서 구조에 UNIX를 기반으로 한 다중처리용 운영체제를 갖고 있다. 본 고는 한국전자통신연구소에서 개발한 행정전산망 주전산기 TICOM의 설계ROSUA, 시스템 구조와 특성을 살펴보고 시스템 성능에 대해 서술한다.

  • In the past, the risk of fire and the rate of fire occurrence has increased gradually as the quality of life improved due to rapid economic growth, and the government enacted Fire Prevention Act. The existing inspection method was revised considering the rapid increase in the number of fire-fighting objects(hereinafter referred to as specific fire-fighting objects) that require the installation of fire-fighting facilities, and has been applied to this day. On the other hand, unlike the rapid increase in specific fire-fighting objects and the development of fire prevention technologies, the scope of work and inspections by unsuitable inspectors caused a large fire accident, which required improvement of the related laws. This study evaluated, the Act on the relationship of firefighting facilities, which had been implemented previously to identify fire victims, save lives, secure independence of fire inspection agencies, and ensure the accuracy of fire prevention actions.

A Study on the Performance Analysis of Cache Coherence Protocols in a Multiprocessor System Using HiPi Bus (HiPi 버스를 사용한 멀티프로세서 시스템에서 캐쉬 코히어런스 프로토콜의 성능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we describe a multiprocessor system using the HiPi bus with pended protocol and multiple cache memories, and evalute the performance of the multiprocessor system in terms of processor utilization for various cache coherence protocols. The HiPi bus is delveloped as the shared bus of TICOM II which is a main computer system to establish a nation-wide computing network in ETRI. The HiPi bus has high data transfer rate, but it doesn't allow cache-to-cache transfer. In order to evaluate the effect of cache-to-cache transfer upon the performance of system and to choose a best-performed protocol for HiPi bus, we simulate as follows: First, we analyze the performance of multiprocessor system with HiPi bus in terms of processor utilizatIOn through simulation. Each of cache coherence protocol is described by state transition diagram, and then the probability of each state is calculated by Markov steady state. The calculated probability of each state is used as input parameters of simulation, and modeling and simulation are implemented and performed by using SLAM II graphic symbols and language. Second, we propose the HiPi bus which supports cache-to-cache transfer, and analyze the performance of multiprocessor system with proposed HiPi bus in terms of processor utilization through simulation. Considered cache coherence protocols for the simulation are Write-through, Write-once, Berkely, Synapse, Illinois, Firefly, and Dragon.

  • In the present age, a vehicle works important part in our lives and economical domain that transport people, freights, and everything. And both of its number and value are increasing more and more. But user's convenience, control system could not be archived improvement than technological success. In this paper, we suggest some kinds of administrative agendas; simplifying executive processes, designing vehicle information system using by RFID which includes Ubiquitous skill and optical communication network. Especially, this paper suggests public vehicle control model which can simplify every executive processes of vehicle's life in the newest method. There are many kinds of RFID applicative products about transportation. And a dual invest should be interrupted for economical purpose. So this paper also proposes some way for problems of these types.

  • 정보문화의 달이기도 했던 6월은 고도정보화사회를 앞당기는 일련의 획기적인 조치들이 취해져 관련업계의 관심을 크게 집중시키고 있다. 정부는 정보통신회선 사용상의 제한을 대폭 완화하여 민간기업이 실질적으로 VAN사업에 참여할 수 있는 길을 열어놨고 종래 규제일변도였던 전파정책을 권장행정으로 전환하는 전파관리법도 입법예고했다. 정부가 마련한 정보통신회선사용제도 개선조치는 DB, DP만 제공할 수 있도록 되어있는 정보통신역무제공업자의 사업범위를 불특정다수인을 대상으로 한 정보교환 및 타인통신매개행위를 허용했고 지금까지 9600bps급 이하의 저속회선에서만 접속이 허용되어온 다중화장치(MUX)의 사용범위를 대폭확대하여 64kbps급 이상의 고속회선에서도 접속사용할 수 있도록 허용했다. 또한 그룹 VAN의 경우에도 업무상 긴밀한 관계자 등만 이용할 수 있게 한 제한사항도 폐지해 국내 VAN시장에 대한 민간기업의 참여를 전면적으로 허용했다. 이외에도 정보통신역무제공업자가 DP.DB제공을 위해 필요한 경우 컴퓨터 본체에서의 부수적인 정보교환행위를 허용하여 DB내용 갱신(up-data) 등을 위한 중도컴퓨터의 접속도 가능토록 했다. 그런데 그룹 VAN의 경우 이용대상의 제한을 없앴으나 그룹망 중 타인사용특례를 받은 업체 이외의 망에는 이용자가 접속할 수 없도록 되어있기 때문에 각 업체에서는 시스템 통합화를 추진할 확률이 높다. 또한 고속회선에 대한 다중화장치(MUX) 사용을 허용하고 있으나 개방에 대비해 각 업체에서 이미 보유하고 있는 노드 프로세서(Node Processor)를 전용교환기로 간주, 이의 사용을 제한하고 있는 실정이다. 업계에서는 중도컴퓨터의 접속은 허용하고 있으면서 통신과 컴퓨터의 중간자적 기능을 갖고 있는 노드프로세서의 사용을제한한다는 데에 있어서는 의견을 달리하고 있다. 우리 협회에서는 이달 법제위원회를 개최하여 이번 조치에 대한 검토와 함께 전파관리법 입법예고안에 대한 업계의 의견을 수렴, 정부에 건의할 예정이다.

  • A digital CDI(Capacitive Discharge Ignition) system on small two stroke motorcycle engine was developed in this paper, This CDI system with microprocessor as its main part has more flexible spark timing than the conventional CDI system because of its programmable characteristics. The principle of this digital CDI system and the design methods of hardware and software were presented in this paper, Two stroke small engine was tested to investigate the performance of digital CDI system And also this system was investigated to optimize the engine performance. Also comparison between conventional CDI can provide better spark timing variation than the conventional system. The part and full load test results show that the engine power was increased about 10-20% and fuel consumption was decreased about 10-20% simultaneously. Furthermore, this digital CDI system has simple structure, low cost and very little modification are required. It is a promising technology to substitute for the widely used conventional CDI system.

  • Recently, advanced countries assessment the risk of fire to prevent large-scale damage to high-rise buildings, In addition, performance-Based design, which is a fire risk assessment, is being conducted in Korea to prevent massive damage to high-rise buildings. However, unlike advanced countries, fire risk assessment in Korea is subject to fire risk assessment only for objects subject to consent from fire-fighting facilities such as building permits, When building engineers and fire-fighting engineers assessment the risk of fire, It has always been discussed because the results vary depending on which part of the evaluation is focused between economic feasibility and safety. Therefore, in this study, we would like to propose a fire risk assessment process suitable for domestic conditions by comparing the process of performance-based design, which is a domestic fire risk assessment, and the process of Iso/TC 16732 which is an overseas fire risk assessment.
