  • In this paper we have reviewed major theories of international migration by three phases of migration : initiation, perpetuation, and adjustment. Through the review it is found that factors affecting the three phases are not mutually exclusive but interrelated, and argued that for a comprehensive understanding of the phenomena we need a theoretical guideline useful to locate all the important factors associated to the entire process of migration. Neoclassical economic theory which has played a leading role in migration research. fails to be such a guideline. since it is grounded on the unrealistic assumption of rationality and does not take into account for historical-structural factors, as neo-Marxian theorists have claimed. Two major Marxian theories, dual labor market theory and world system theory, have been successful to identify macro-structural factors that induce main flows of international migration, but do not so in exploring situational factors affecting the process of migration, especially social and cultural factors. Accordingly this study proposes that in order to grasp international migration process comprehensively we need to research the phenomena in view of action system theory, that is, to study migrants\` economic, political, social, and cultural situations inclusively.

  • Effects of job stress and drinking motivations on the drinking behavior of Korea's mentally challenged in sheltered employment. The purpose of this article was to investigate job stress, drinking motivations, and factors influencing the drinking behavior of Korea's mentally challenged. The 97 subjects' average job stress level was slightly below average. The subjects were found to experience salary-related stress the most out of the five sub-areas of job stress. The strongest motivations of drinking was the social motivation. In terms of drinking behavior, the most common drinking frequency was 3-4 times a year. The most common drinking amount was two 500cc mugs of beer. The significant predictors to explain the variance of the frequency of drinking was motivations to cope with, age, and salary-related stress. The mentally challenged drink more often when they have coping motivations and salary-related stress, and when they are younger. The significant predictors to explain the variance of the amount of drinking was motivations to emotional uplifting, drinking colleagues, stress from role overload. The mentally challenged drink more when they have motivations to emotionally uplift themselves and less role overload-related stress and as they drink alone.

  • Strategic games are missing special qualities of genre these days. Game engines neither reason about behaviors of computer objects nor have learning ability that can prepare countermeasure in variously command user's strategy. This paper suggests a strategic game engine that applies non-monotonic reasoning and inductive machine learning. The engine emphasizes three components -“user behavior monitor”to abstract user's objects behavior,“learning engine”to learn user's strategy,“behavior display handler”to reflect abstracted behavior of computer objects on game. Especially, this paper proposes two layered-structure to apply non-monotonic reasoning and inductive learning to make behaviors of computer objects that learns strategy behaviors of user objects exactly, and corresponds in user's objects. The engine decides actions and strategies of computer objects with created information through inductive learning. Main contribution of this paper is that computer objects command excellent strategies and reveal differentiation with behavior of existing computer objects to apply non-monotonic reasoning and inductive machine learning.

  • Research on moral judgment has been dominated by rational factor or moral emotion, in which moral judgment is thought to be caused by moral reasoning or moral intuitions. This research demonstrates that offender' anger can influence moral judgment. The study examined the role of offender's anger (control group versus anger group) on moral domain ( life, interpersonal ethic, traffic regulation: 6 case) : 2(groups) ×6(cases) mixed design. Participants were asked to judge the offender, case, sympathy and one's anger about the him or her who offended against the law or convention. Participants who perceived the offender's anger tended to assess questionnaire generous. In interpersonal ethic domain, participants have not been affected by anger. There was not significantly differences between two groups in interpersonal ethic domain. The results of experiment confirmed hypotheses that influence of anger varies with the moral domains affected a value system of culture. These findings indicate functional emotion for moral judgment and suggest people may be decide how much emotion is considered on moral judgment performance according to moral domains.
