  • This CW(Construction wastes) are increasing as construction industry is growing, so many countries make efforts to recycle CW. Korea also made a stipulation for recycling CW. But the main content of this stipulation is for using recycled aggregates. Advanced countries try to increase reuse rate of not only recycled aggregate but also other kinds of wastes. So they are adopting SDM(separating dismantlement) method and we are also planning to make the system for SDM. This study is about SDM analysis through construction field investigation and difference analysis between SDM and UDM comparing predictive amount by UDM with real generated amount by SDM. First, the generated amount of construction wastes by SDM is more than estimated amount by UDM, and mixed waste was specially reduced more than UDM. The warehouse is easier than the office building to applicate SDM. But still there is no manual for SDM in the site, so establishment of SDM is demanded.

  • Hereafter, the domestic housing industry has to give consequence to the redevelopment and rebuilding of existing housings rather than the supply by developing a new building site, and now those tendencies are rapidly spreading out. Also, because apartment buildings occupies 50% over of the existing housing, its maintenance, repair, remodeling and reconstruction got to be necessary area for the slumming prevention of a residential area and the disaster prevention occurred by durability lowering of the building. Accordingly, C&D waste is rising largely by reason of demolition works in city is increasing. The right management of C&D waste is being one of very important things, but little research has been conducted to estimate correctly C&D waste. In this study is to suggest standard units of C&D waste which can estimate demolition quantity of apartment. This units can estimate easily and correctly C&D waste in demolition works, also can possible use very important material to carry out policy of national waste management.

  • Commercially used organic scintillation materials (1,4 di[2-(5phenyloxazolyl)] benzene) have low solubility in solvents and a wide emission energy range, which causes a decrease in detection efficiency. In this study, an organic liquid scintillator with improved detection efficiency was developed using 7-Diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin material to compensate for the disadvantages of existing organic scintillation detectors. And to evaluate the applicability of radiation measurement, the performance of a commercial plastic detector was compared. As a result of analyzing the 60Co detection characteristics by applying 7-Diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin as an alternative to 1,4 di[2-(5phenyloxazolyl)] benzene, the detection efficiency was improved around 2% compared with commercial scintillator when the 7-Diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin content was 0.04 wt%. Based on the results of this study, the possibility of improving detection efficiency through scintillator material modification was confirmed. In addition, since it is possible to discriminate nuclide through the spectrum correction algorithm, it will be possible to inspect and classify various decommissioning wastes generated during the decommissioning process.

  • A variety of efforts are attempted to make the world sustainable in fabrication industries worldwide. To achieve the goals, a new design concept for products is one of crucial factors to be able to dismantle them after use in easy and simple ways. New debonding technologies have been developed in recent years for the recycle and/or repair of bonded structures, where the bonds are broken without the damage of the components and make recycling easier. Some representative technologies of controlled delamination materials (CDM) are reviewed with an emphasis on light induced debonding of adhesives. We also describe current applications of light induced CDMs as temporary bondable films in semiconductor and display industries.
