In maritime logistics, a large number of containers are transported to the destination through a port in the form of composite transportation such as ships, trucks, and railways. Logistics parties such as shipping companies and consignors prefer having the real-time information on the entry and exit of the logistics hubs of the freight. Particularly, a port is an important space that connects the maritime and inland areas. Hence, the interest about freight of the logistics party in port is high. This study describes tracking the location of freight by using GPS dynamically based on area type rather than point type. This presents dynamic information of location tracking when the freight enters, exits from, and passes through a certain port area. I suggest a real-time location of the container cargos tracking algorithm in port-entry, port-exit, and port inside using Active IP-RFID technology based on the location tracking algorithm of previous research.

2014년 우리나라 선용품 시장의 규모는 5조 7천400억 원 정도로 추정된다. 대부분이 부산, 울산 등 부산권에서 이뤄지지만 관련업체가 400여 개나 난립해 대부분 평균 매출이 20여억 원으로 영세한 수준이다. 또한 세계 해운항만산업의 불황과 중국을 비롯한 개발도상국들의 저가 선용품의 생산 및 공급으로 인해 국내 선용품 업계가 그다지 밝지 않는 상황이다. 이렇듯 영세한 선용품 산업을 발전시키기 위해서 부산시에서는 부산항국제선용품유통센터 내에 공동물류(창고)를 운영을 제시하였으며 이를 세부적으로 파악하기 위해 성공적 방안 요인 16개의 도출하여 AHP와 IP분석을 사용하여 전략적 방안을 제시하였다.${\cdots}$ (중략) ${\cdots}$.

This paper describes not only the complexities of LNG business including shipping sector but also its own current environmental changes. Furthermore, system dynamics (VENSIM analysis) as a methodology is introduced to analyze the potential LNG shipping market in the future. As a result of the VENSIM analysis, potentiality of the spot LNG shipping market is systematically established in connection with embodiment of the spot LNG market. This paper suggests three methods, which are centered on newbuildings of ships, for the shippers to prepare for the spot LNG shipping market on the basis that maritime economics can make a direct contribution to the shippers' business decision-making.

This paper is the empirical study results on the introduction effects of safety management system(SMS) for the shipping company. First of all, we take a brief look at the present Korean situations after the SMS induction Next, we analyse the effect of the SMS induction. We divided the effect of induction in 21 factors. The result was 3.5 out of 5 perfect points, which shows the high preference. Higher points were scored with international companies than domestic ones, the companies accepted before 1998 than the ones after 1998, and large enterprises than smaller ones.

This study analyzes the relationship between shipping profit and market return in the tramp trade from January 2000 to October 2014. First, we carry out the causality test and find a causal relationship between the studied variables. Second, the estimates from the Johansen cointegration test show that shipping profit is cointegrated with market return, which implies that a long-run relationship exists among the variables. The empirical results thus imply that shipping firms need diverse risk management strategies.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the network characteristics of ports and their performance that is represented by port competitiveness for the port operators. The study employs Social Network Analysis (SNA) to evaluate network characteristics comprising four centrality indices. For this research, data from Containerization International Yearbooks for 2006-2011 is used to analyze the service networks of 20 major liner shipping companies. In SNA, nodes (vertices) in the network are the ports and links (edges) in the network are connections realized by vessel movements, such that the liner shipping network determines the port network. In addition, panel regression analysis has been employed to investigate the relationship between port network characteristics and their performance. The results suggest that the four centrality indices identify the roles of the world's major ports from 2006 to 2011 and that port performance is determined not only by macroeconomic variables and service capabilities but also by the eigenvector centrality of ports in networks.

인도는 2014년 모디 정부 출범 이후 부정부패 척결, 기업환경 개선, 적극적인 외자유치 등의 경제개방 및 개혁정책을 추진하는 들 높은 경제성장 잠재력을 보유하고 있다. 인도의 면적은 329만 $km^2$로 서유럽 면적과 비슷하고, 인구는 중국에 이어 세계에서 두 번째 많은 약 13억 명으로 높은 생산 소비 잠재력을 가지고 있다. 모디 정부 출범 이후 전 정부 대비 인프라 개발 예산을 4배 이상 배정했고, 주요 항만 개발 및 제조업 육성에 힘쓰고 있다. 그러나 아직까지 인도 시장에 대한 우리나라의 해운 항만 물류기업 진출 및 투자 지원에 관한 체계적인 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 인도에 진출하는 우리나라 화주기업 및 물류기업의 물류 애로사항 해소 지원, 해운 물류기업의 경쟁력 강화 등 정부차원의 다양한 정책과 지원 사업에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 그러므로 본 연구는 인도시장에 진출하는 우리나라 물류 기업의 항만 물류시설 투자 후보지에 대한 정성적 정량적 분석을 통해 투자유망지역을 선정하는 것이 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 인도의 경제 및 교역, 물류시설 및 관련 정책 등의 현황 조사를 실시한다. 그리고 우리나라 물류기업 진출 시 투자가 유망할 것으로 예상되는 지역을 대상으로 정성적 정량적 분석을 통해 투자유망지역을 선정하려 한다.
