  • The whole world is anxious that aircraft could be used as a tool for terrorism after 9/11. The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines is again adding to fears about aircraft. Because these aircraft attacks cause many human casualties, the purpose of the study is to analyze the problems in the current air security system and to present alternatives. The methodology of the study used a literature research methodology to review the current status of aircraft terrorism and related regulations, such as current aviation-related laws and anti-terrorism laws, and prior studies. The purpose of the Chapter is to present an aviation security system that promotes the safety of air traffic through the prevention of aircraft terror by presenting the roles and improvement measures of aviation security personnel, foreign police officers, intelligence agencies, and legal blind spots and flaws.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the needs of domestic and overseas tourists in the growing travel industry and platform industry and propose a customized matching platform service. A survey was conducted on a total of 106 people from domestic teenagers to 60s or more and case studies with domestic travel related and expert matching application. According to this survey, It was possible to identify the inconveniences and necessary needs during the trip. As the aging society is on the way, It propose a local guide matching platform service that can cover not only 20s and 30s but also 40s ~ 60s, which will be a competitive platform service in the age of 100 years. However, since this study have studied a somewhat comprehensive age range from 20 to 60 years or older, future studies will require intensive research on subjects aged 40 to 60 years or older.

  • In recent years, the "social distance" has drastically reduced overseas travelers. On the other hand, for personal safety and security, it is expected that interest and demand for CCTV, electric alarm and signaling devices, electric diagnostics and medical devices will increase significantly. The purpose of this paper is to find out the effect of airport transfer passengers and exports of CCTV, electrical diagnostics and medical devices, electrical alarms and signaling devices on exports to Korea, and the synchronism of each variable. To this end, this study used a total of 231 monthly data from January 2000 to April 2020 in the National Statistics Service. As a result of empirical analysis, CCTV and electrical diagnostics and medical devices showed relatively high synchronization with respect to exports to Korea. Electric alarms & signaling devices and transit passengers also showed a certain level of synchronization with exports, but were relatively weak.

  • Dose rate characteristics of cosmic radiation field at flight altitudes were analyzed and the route doses to the personnels on board due to cosmic-ray were calculated for Korean-based commercial international airline routes using CARI-6. Annual individual doses to aircrew and the collective effective dose of passengers were estimated by applying the calculated route doses to the flight schedules of aircrew and the air travel statistics of Korea. The result shows that the annual doses to aircrew, around 2.62 mSv, exceed the annual dose limit of public and are comparable to doses of the group of workers occupationally exposed. Therefore it is necessary to consider the frequent flyers as well as the aircrew as the occupational exposure group. The annual collective dose to 11 million Korean passengers in 2001 appeared to be 136 man-Sv. The results should be modified when the dose rates of cosmic radiation at high altitude are revised by taking into account the changes in the radiation weighting factors for protons and neutrons as given in ICRP 92.

  • Purpose : Yellow fever, a mosquito-borne viral hemorrhagic fever, is one of the most lethal diseases. Recently there have been an increasing number of Korean children who have travelled to yellow fever endemic zones and were administered yellow fever vaccine (YFV). Therefore, we carried out this study to provide child travelers with safety information of YFV. Methods : This study was conducted at the International Clinic of National Medical Center in Seoul between April 2007 and June 2008 for the evaluation of adverse events of YFV. One hundred twenty-five children received YFV (17-DD) and were prospectively monitored for adverse events through telephone interviews on day 3, 6, 9, 16, 23 and 30 after vaccination. Results : Adverse events were observed in 31 (24.8%) of 125 child travelers who received the YFV. The mean age was 12.5${\pm}$5.0 years. Sixty-six of the child travelers (52.8%) were males. The common adverse events were pain in 11 (8.8%), swelling in 8 (6.4%) and redness in 7 children (5.6%) at the injection site. The systemic adverse events included mild fever in 5 (4.0%), headache in 5 (4.0%), cough in 4 (3.2%), abdominal pain in 3 (2.4%), and vomiting in 2 children (1.6%). Most of the adverse events were detected within 7 days of administration and there were no differences in adverse events by gender or age. All travelers who had complained of symptoms improved spontaneously or following symptomatic treatment. Conclusion : This study showed that YFV is well-tolerated and there were no reports of severe adverse events. Studies are ongoing to clarify the cause and risk factors for rare adverse events.
