Survey on Hash-Based Post-Quantum Digital Signature Schemes (해시 기반 양자내성 전자서명 기법 연구 동향)

  • Digital signature algorithms such as RSA and ECDSA are threatened by the development of quantum computer technology, which is attracting attention as a future technology. Alternatively, various post-quantum algorithms such as grid-based, multivariate-based, code-based, and hash-based are being studied. Among them, the hash-based is a fast and quantitative security level that can be calculated and its safety has been proven. So it is receiving a lot of attention. In this paper, we examine various hash-based digital signature algorithms that have been proposed so far, and analyze their features and their strengths and weaknesses. In addition, we emphasize the importance of reducing the size of the signature in order for the hash-based signature algorithm to be practically used.

  • 최근 양자 컴퓨터 기술의 발전과 양자 컴퓨터와 관련된 Shor 알고리즘과 Grover 알고리즘으로 인해, 기존에 사용되고 있는 블록 암호의 키 크기 증가와 이산대수 기반의 공개키 암호의 안전성에 대한 재평가가 필요한 상황이다. 이러한 상황에서 양자 컴퓨터에 대해 안전한 포스트 양자 암호에 대한 연구가 활발하며, 다변수 기반, 격자 기반, 코드 기반, 해시 기반 등 다양한 포스트 양자 암호들이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 해시 기반 서명 기법의 경우, 기존의 상태를 활용한 방식의 오랜 연산시간과 키/서명 크기가 크다는 단점을 가지고 있으며, 이를 개선한 Stateless 해시 기반 서명 기법의 최신 동향과 전망에 대해서 살펴본다.

  • 본 논문은 통신 시스템에 주로 사용되는 디지털 전자 서명 알고리즘 중 양자 내성 암호인 SPHINCS+ 알고리즘에 대한 효과적인 하드웨어 설계 방안에 대한 연구이다. SPHINCS+ 알고리즘은 해시 함수 기반 알고리즘으로, 많은 횟수의 해시 함수가 반복해서 사용된다. 해시 함수를 가속 연산해도, 그 횟수가 크기 때문에 SPHINCS+ 알고리즘은 다른 전자 서명 알고리즘보다 하드웨어 설계 후 큰 latency 를 가지는 특징이 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해 SPHINCS+ 알고리즘에서 사용되는 해시 함수들을 면밀하게 분석한다. 그 결과 같은 해시 함수에 대해서도 입출력 데이터 크기가 다양하게 변화하고, 서로 다른 데이터 플로우를 가지는 그 세부 차이점들을 파악하여, 이를 접목한 하드웨어 설계에 대해 논의한다.

An Efficient Data Authentication Scheme for Content Centric Networking (컨텐츠 중심 네트워크에서 해시 체인 기반의 효율적인 데이터 인증 기법)

  • This paper presents an efficient hash chain-based data authentication mechanism which can considerably reduce the overhead of processing and transmission for authenticating segments in CCN. The proposed method makes use of hash chain and MHT(Merkle Hash Tree). At first, it applies hash chain methods for data segments and encodes them to Data part. Then, it constitutes Meta part with the hash values generated at the previous step and properly applies both hash chain method and MHT-based signing for not only achieving efficiency, but also mitigating the drawback(data-loss, out-of-order transmission) of hash chain method. We have implemented our method in the CCNx library and measured the performance. When transmitting 100Mbyte of content, the proposed method generates only 2.596% of processing overhead and 1.803% of transmission overhead.

  • This paper proposes an efficient authentication scheme for multicast packet using recovery layer to provide source authentication. The problems of the existing schemes are as follows : TESLA requires time synchronization between the sender and the receiver, md hash-based schemes have high communication overheads due to additional hash values and require many buffers and delay for verification on receivers. Our main focus is reducing the buffer size, communication and computation burden of the receiver. The proposed scheme in this paper is highly robust to packet loss using the recovery layer based on XOR operation. It also provides low communication overhead, low verification cost, non-repudiation of the origin, immediate verification and robustness against DoS attack on the receiver.

Not that attach digital signature on XML document at send-receive process of XML document in this research, proposed method to attach digital signature to DTD. As reading DTD file to end first, do parsing, and store abstracted element or attribute entitys in hash table. Read hash table and achieve message digest if parsing is ended. Compose and create digital signature with individual key after achievement. When sign digital, problem that create entirely other digest cost because do not examine about order that change at message digest process is happened. This solved by method to create DTD's digital signature using DOM that can embody tree structure for standard structure and document.

  • As the ICT technologies advance, the unprecedently large amount of digital data is created, transferred, stored, and utilized in every industry. With the data scale extension and the applying technologies advancement, the new services emerging from the use of large scale data make our living more convenient and useful. But the cybercrimes such as data forgery and/or change of data generation time are also increasing. For the data security against the cybercrimes, the technology for data integrity and the time verification are necessary. Today, public key based signature technology is the most commonly used. But a lot of costly system resources and the additional infra to manage the certificates and keys for using it make it impractical to use in the large-scale data environment. In this research, a new and far less system resources consuming signature technology for large scale data, based on the Hash Function and Merkle tree, is introduced. An improved method for processing the distributed hash trees is also suggested to mitigate the disruptions by server failures. The prototype system was implemented, and its performance was evaluated. The results show that the technology can be effectively used in a variety of areas like cloud computing, IoT, big data, fin-tech, etc., which produce a large-scale data.

  • In the 4th industrial revolution, the blockchain that distributes and manages data through a P2P network is used as a new decentralized networking paradigm in various fields such as manufacturing, culture, and public service. However, with the advent of quantum computers, quantum algorithms that are able to break existing cryptosystems such as hash function, symmetric key, and public key cryptography have been introduced. Currently, because most major blockchain systems use an elliptic curve cryptography to generate signatures for transactions, they are insecure against the quantum adversary. For this reason, the research on the quantum-resistant blockchain that utilizes lattice-based cryptography for transaction signatures is needed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a blind signature scheme for the blockchain in which the contents of the signature can be verified later, as well as signing by hiding the contents to be signed using lattice-based cryptography with the property of quantum resistance. In addition, we prove the security of the proposed scheme using a random oracle model.

  • I propose a prescription transmission system based on XML in this paper, and it is not to attach a former signature to only a XML document for encoding of XML/EDI, and it is construction, one with the prescription transmission system which is safer with what use a way to attach a digital signature to DTD. I defined sub element to manage information prescription DTD defined prescription information, patient information, medical care organ information, prescription details information, compounding of medicines details information element according to for each a component of a prescription I went along, and to have looked up, and to have obeyed information transmission at he low rank. I read a DTD file for safe prescription transmission, and I do element or property, the entity which I do it, and is extracted here, and Pasing is saved in a table while being a field. If Pasing is finished, I read and lift a hash table and carry out message a digest. I compose it with an early private key and create a digital signature.
