Autobiographical Memory of Childhood and Prosocial Behaviors (나는 순수했다!: 아동기에 대한 자서전적 기억과 친사회적 행동)

  • Previous studies have demonstrated that childhood memories can impact self-concepts. However, scant research has been conducted to determine whether and how the activation of childhood memories relates to the motivation of prosocial behaviors. Thus, this study investigated whether childhood memories facilitated prosocial behaviors through implicitly activating moral purity and how differently an abstract (vs. a concrete) construal level of autobiographical memories evoke prosocial intentions. According to the results of Study 1, the participants in the experimental condition of childhood memories were more motivated to perform prosocial behaviors than those in the controlled condition of recalling recent mundane activities. In the experimental condition, moral purity was activated more strongly than in the control condition. Study 2 demonstrated that participants in the "concrete" condition of childhood memories tended to the lower levels of prosocial motivation than those in the "abstract" condition wherein they were counting and describing good deeds from their childhood in detail. These results indicate that different construal levels (abstract vs. concrete) can mediate the relationship between childhood memories and prosocial behaviors. This study contributes to extending previous research regarding the determinants of motivating prosocial behaviors in cognitive processes.

원심압축기에서 물분사 압축과정에 대한 이론적 해석

  • Wet compression means the injection of water droplets into the compressor of gas turbines. This method decreases the compression work and increases the turbine output by decreasing the compressor exit temperature through the evaporation of water droplets inside the compressor. This paper provides thermodynamic and aerodynamic analysis on wet compression in a centrifugal compressor for a microturbine. The meanline performance analysis of centrifugal compressor is coupled with the thermodynamic equation of wet compression to get the meanline performance of wet compression. The most influencing parameter in the analysis is the evaporative rate of water droplets. It is found that the impeller exit flow temperature and compression work decreases as the evaporative rate increases. And the exit flow angle decreases as the evaporative rate increases.

  • In this paper, the current research for the biomechanics of artificial knee joints including experiments and stress analysis is surveyed and Introduced. The knee joint is the most large and the motion is very complicated, so the design of artificial joint is difficult and most research Is being done abroad. Up to date, most products are foreign products and Imported here and the gap between here and advanced countries of the technical and capability for the design and manufacturing is too deep to follow. So, the contents of papers in this area including the most excellent results are introduced. And the preliminary research on the contact stress analysis of the joints is present.

  • Urban flooding is usually caused by the surcharge of storm sewers. For that reason, domestic studies about urban flooding are concentrated on the simulation of urban drainage system. However these approaches that find the pipes which have insufficient drainage capacity are very approximate and unreasonable ways. In this study, an accurate mathematical modeling is developed to analyze the impacts of an urban inundation for both flood prevention and flood-loss reduction planning and it is verified by using the simulation of July 2001 flooding in Seoul. The result of this study can be used to construct fundamental data for a flood control plan and establish a urban flood forecasting/warning system.

  • 저수지와 같은 갇혀진 수체는 상류에서 유입되는 오염물질 뿐만 아니라 성층현상에 의해서도 오염될 수 있다. 안정된 성층은 혐기성 조건을 제공하여 바닥에서의 과도한 조류성장을 유발하고 연직순환흐름을 방해한다. 갇혀진 수체에서의 연직순환은 환경적인 문제를 감소시킬 수 있도록 중요한 역할을 한다. 갇혀진 수체에서의 연직순환은 이러한 오염을 줄이는데 중요한 역할을 하는데, 연직순환을 일으키는 인자로는 빛의 입사, 바람, 물의 온도 및 열의 확산 등이 있으며, 그중에서도 가장 중요한 것은 바람의 영향이다. 그러므로 성층화된 흐름에서 바람에 의해 발생하는 연직순환에 대한 수치모형을 개발하고 적용하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 수온성층흐름에서의 순환흐름을 해석하기 위하여 유속성분을 계산하고 자유수면 변위와 온도, 염도등과 같은 스칼라양의 해석을 위해 다음과 같은 3단계의 방법을 이용하였다. 첫 번째 단계(정수압 계산단계)에서는 운동량 방정식의 경사항을 음해적으로 해석하고, 두 번째 단계(자유수면 보정단계)에서는 자유수면의 변화를 계산하고 수평방향 유속성분을 계산한다. 예측-수정자 방법(predictor-corrector step method)을 이용하여 자유수면변위와 유속을 구하였다. 마지막으로 세 번째 단계(이송-확산단계)에서는 이송-확산 방정식을 이용하여 스칼라양을 계산하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 모형의 정확도를 검증하기 위하여 정사각형수조에서 진동하는 자유수면의 해석해와 비교하였고, 성층화된 흐름에서 발생하는 연직순환에 대하여 수치모의를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 본 연구에서 개발된 수치모형이 흐름 내부의 현상을 잘 묘사함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 우리나라 뿐만 아니라 전 세계적으로 기후변화로 인한 집중호우, 폭설 등이 빈번하게 일어나고 있으며 수공구조물 설계에 필요한 확률강우량도 증가하고 있다. 확률강우량을 산정하는 빈도해석의 경우 지점빈도해석의 문제점을 보완한 지역빈도해석에 대한 연구가 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 지역빈도해석을 적용하기 위해서는 수문학적 동질성을 가지는 지역 구분이 무엇보다 중요하다. 군집 분석은 개체들이 지니고 있는 다양한 속성의 유사성을 동질적인 집단으로 군집화하는 방법을 말한다. 군집분석의 기본원리는 분석하고자 하는 여러 특성등을 유사성(similaruty) 거리(distance)로 환산하고 거리가 상대적으로 가까운 개체들을 동질적으로 군집화하는 것이다. 군집분석을 적용하기 위해서는 기상학적 인자와 지형학적 인자를 이용하여 군집분석을 실시한다. 군집분석을 실시할 때 가장 중요한 것은 입력변수의 선택으로 입력 변수의 적절한 선택이 결과값에 큰 영향을 준다. 상호정보량(Mutual Information, MI) 기법은 두 무작위 변수간의 관련성을 측정하는 방법이며 (Cover and Tomas, 2006), 두 변수간의 독립성 구조에 관한 가정이 없고 데이터 변형이나 잡음(noise)에 대한 영향이 적어 다른 기법보다 신뢰도가 높다고 알려져 있다(Peng et al., 2005). 본 연구에서는 상호정보량 기법을 이용하여 군집된 지점들의 종속성과 독립성의 관계를 정량적으로 산정하여 비교하고자 한다.

Numerical study on rock splitting using the cylindrical cavity (원형 자유면을 이용한 암반 파쇄의 수치해석적 연구)

  • This paper presents key findings obtained from the numerical experiment investigating into the use of the cylindrical cavity for rock splitting operations. The stress and strain path analyses were carried out in order to provide a better insight into the crack formation. The principal stress analysis carried out along the crack line using the results obtained from these numerical analyses allowed the failure of the brittle material and the crack propagation to be investigated. This paper also suggested possible reasons for the change in crack direction observed during the rock splitting operations using the results obtained.

  • For the purpose of optimal control of anti-lock brake system, precise dynamic characteristics analysis of the hydraulic modulator, especially solenoid valve is necessary. However, most of researches so law have dealt with dynamic characteristic analysis of valve itself and the results have been restrictive to apply on the actual ABS modulator, where hydraulic pressure is acting. In this study, mathematical modeling and experimental analysis were executed in order to evaluate the valve dynamic characteristics when the hydraulic pressure applied. High pressure on the master cylinder effects on the valve dynamic characteristics have been analyzed quantitatively and performance improvement methods have been suggested varying the design factor. Consequently, results of solenoid valve dynamic characteristics analysis derived in the study can be utilized criteria for the optimal control of anti-lock brake system.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the inelastic behavior of hollow reinforced concrete bridge columns under varying axial load. The role of the variable axial load is very important in the ductility, strength, stiffness, and energy dissipation. A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), for the analysis of reinforced concrete structures was used. Material nonlinearity is taken into account by comprising tensile, compressive and shear models of cracked concrete and a model of reinforcing steel. The proposed numerical method for the inelastic behavior of hollow reinforced concrete bridge columns under varying axial load is verified by comparison with reliable experimental results.

A Study on Air Flow Analysis due to the Shape of Automotive Body (자동차 차체의 형상에 따른 공기 유동해석에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the air resistance is studied by using flow analysis near automotive body due to the its shape. Flow velocities of airs entering into inlet plane are two kinds of 70 km/h and 100 km/h. Air resistance in case of high speed driving(100 km/h) becomes higher than regular speed driving(70 km/h) and the resistance in case of the car with wider cross section at front side becomes higher than narrower cross section. By using this analysis result, the shape of automotive body can be effectively designed in order to reduce the air resistance.
