A study on the Electromagnetic Environment for the Navigation Device and Propulsion Device in Ship (선내 항해통신장비 및 추진장비에 대한 전자파환경 연구)

  • Although studies and investments on electro-magnetic fields in terrestrial areas are being conducted, they are not applied to a ship. Especially ship is consist of Top Side, Bridge, and Engine Room. Top Side is mounted Antenna and radar. Bridge is mounted navigation and navigation equipment that have a safe voyage. Finally, Engine Room is mounted switchboard and this is used to ship propulsion system. Therefore the purpose of this paper is for suggesting optimized standard to apply to marine environment through analyzing electromagnetic wave environment in ship. For this, we were measured EMF in Hanbada ship in Korea Maritime and Ocean University and we compared and analyzed to measured values in Korea standards and international standards. Consequently, Engine Room of ship for the identified that there are limits to apply. The proposed results of this research will be expected to utilize for establishing standard a plan for EMF in ship.

  • On the advent of digital era, ECDIS has emerged as a new navigation aid that should result in significant benefits to safe navigation. More than simply a graphics display, ECDIS is a new concept navigation system capable of providing integrated information of geographical and texual data. As an official vector data for ECDIS, ENC consists of spatial and feature data to describe objects in form of points, lines and areas. IHO published International Standards for ENC, such as S-52(Specification for Chart Content and Display Aspects of ECDIS) and S-57(IHO Transfer Standard for Digital Hydrographic Data). This paper deals with the implementation of an ENC representation system which meets S-52 presentation specification and S-57 transfer standards by analyzing S-57 data structures and converting them to an appropriate internal data structures and representing them onto screen adopting S-52 presentation specification.

  • The sea-communication fishing equipment installed on small vessels such as offshore fishing vessels is highly dependent on foreign products due to its high dependence on foreign products. From the perspective of domestication, the development of localization at the overseas level is underway, and we intend to demonstrate it by creating a dedicated testbed in order to secure track records. In this paper, we wanted to derive the testbed shape and design method through basic research for the design of the testbed.

  • Marine accidents of 70.9% have been caused by small ships less than 100 tons in the past 5 years(1998${\sim}$2002). This is ascribable to the graying and lack in expertise on shipping of small ship operators, and merchant ships are hindered from coastal navigation due to the increase of coastal fishing boats and liners. Currently, ECDIS and GPS Plotters are widely used as navigation equipment providing route information to operators, but it can not give any function of automatic route creation and route explanation, so they are available only experienced operators. Especially, the present situation is that no study is made of the automatic route creation and route explanation using ENC for ECDIS, substitution system of paper chart. In this paper, Navigation Guiding System(NGS) is proposed to generate an optimal route where ENC and GPS data is fusioned including the wind speed and direction of anemometer. The proposed system was testified by a simulation, and its effectiveness was verified.

  • 현재 IT 기술의 발전에 힘입어 선박 내에 발생하는 전자 데이터를 통해 선박 제어, 자율 운항, 상황 발생 시 정보 제공 등의 기능을 할 수 있는 전자 운항 선박이 등장하였다. 국내 선박용 항해 통신 장비 업체들에서 제작된 장비들은 NMEA 0183 표준 규격을 따르고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 표준규격 내에서의 저속의 데이터 전송으로 인한 향후 NMEA-2000에서의 멀티미디어 전송 및 USN 장비 호환을 위해서는 보다 효율적인 전송 처리 방안이 필요하며, 나아가 이더넷을 기반으로 하는 선박 제어가 필요로 하게 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 저속과 고속 데이터 전송시에 보다 효율적인 전송 방안을 고려하여야 하며, 또한 그러한 방안이 기존의 선박 전자 장비와 원활히 연동될 수 있도록 고려하여야 한다.

  • 조선기자재는 선박의 건조 및 수리에 사용되는 모든 기계와 자재류를 일컫는 것으로, 선종과 규모에 따라 다소 차이가 있으나 약460여종에 이르며 선박 건조원가의 55∼65%를 차지하고 있다. 선박부품인 조선기자재는 기능별로 나누어 금속제품, 화학제품, 용접재료, 주단제품으로 구성되는 선체부, 엔진을 포함하는 추진장치와 보조기계로 대별되는 기관부, 조타, 계선, 하역, 안전장비 및 거주설비 등의 의장부 및 동력, 배선, 조명, 항해통신, 제어장치 등으로 구성되는 전기ㆍ전자부로 분류된다. 특히 최근에는 방화ㆍ방재 설비로 대표되는 안전설비를 의장부에서 별도로 분류하기도 하며, 선박의 자동화 추세에 따라 전기와 전자부분을 분리하여 분류하기도 한다.(중략)

  • In the reality that the fishing population is decreasing and the single-man fishing vessels is increasing, mandatory equipment for navigation and radio equipments for the safety of fishing boats has continued to be added. Therefore, many equipment such as navigation, communication and fishing are installed in the narrow steering room, so it is very confusing and a number of monitors are placed in the front, which is a factor that degrades the function of maritime observation. To solve this problem, we studied an interface that integrates and operates to major radio facilities such as very high frequency-digital selective calling equipment (VHF-DSC), automatic identification system (AIS) and fishing boat location transmission device (V-pass) into one multi function display (MFD) based on LAN. In addition, IEC61162-450 UDP packets and IEC61162 sentence were applied to exchange data through link between MFD and radio equipments, and additional messages needed for each equipment and function were defined. The integrated MFD monitor is easily operated by the menu method, and the performance of the interface was evaluated by checking the distress and emergency communication functions related to maritime safety and the message transmission status by equipment.

  • 등명기 및 통신, 해상관측장비 등에 필요한 충분한 소비전력 확보와 축전지 장수명을 위한 목적이다. 태양광 발전 시스템에서 태양광은 자동차의 연료와 같다. 따라서 기존 육상 태양광 시스템에서 발전하는 성과와 해상 등부표 위 한정된 면적 공간에서 발전 가능성을 정확히 분석하기 위해 연료에 대한 고도의 지식과 미래 신뢰성을 확보하는 것이 필수적이다. 해상 해수면 등부표 위에 탑재되는 독립형 태양광발전 시스템의 성과를 예견하는 데에는 일사량의 변화가 가장 큰 불확실성을 나타낸다. 그 이유는 대기와 해상기후의 상태에 따라 태양광이 대기를 통과하면서 전달 산란 채광 흡수되는 작용이 다르고 불안정한 대기와 해상의 롤링과 피칭으로 수광(채광) 조건이 변화무쌍하기 때문이다. 등부표의 한정된 면적과 공간에서 전력공급을 할 수 있는 한계가 있다. 정보통신기술(ICT) 발달에 따른 소비전력 연동시스템 증가로 인해 절대적인 전력량 확보가 필요하다.

  • Malfunctioning of telecom systems can have serious implications on the safe navigation and operation of vessels and off-shore plants. Most safety-related accidents incur significant monetary damages and pollution due to complicated arrangements of the working environments and facilities. Therefore, an automated monitoring system that can collect data from configured telecom equipment connected to a network based on IP is required to ensure safe navigation and operation of such crucial institutions. This paper reports a list of such system requirements, system functions, and user-centered requirements based on the NORSOK T-100 (a standard of telecom management system). These findings were made through research with the newly designed and developed telecom management system (TMS). The TMS was tested by a testbed configured with CCTV, PA/GA, and other network equipment.

  • 선교에는 항해사에게 정보를 전달하기 위하여 다양한 신호가 존재한다. 항해 및 통신 장비로부터 나오는 음향 신호 등 다양한 청각 신호들이 존재하지만 이러한 청각 신호, 청각 경고음에 대한 인간의 인지능력에 관한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 청각 경고음은 크게 음성(speech), 함축적 소리(abstract sound), 청각 아이콘(auditory icon)으로 구분 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 청각 경고음 중 청각아이콘을 활용하여 5가지의 경보상황(엔진, 화재, 조타, 전기, 충돌)에서 청각아이콘에 대한 감성평가를 통해 각 상황에 적합한 청각아이콘을 선별하였다. 본 연구 결과는 선교 내 청각표시장치와 통합선교알람관리시스템을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
