Automatic Control for Ship Automatic Collision Avoidance Support (선박자동충돌회피지원을 위한 자동제어)

  • The studies on automatic ship collision avoidance system, which have been carried out last 10 years, are facing on new situation due to newly developed high technology such as computer and other information system. It was almost impossible to make it used in real navigation 3-4 years ago because of the absence of the tool to get other ship's information, however recently developed technology suggests new possibility. This study is carried out to develop the algorithm of automatic ship collision support system. The NOMOTO ship's mathematic model is adopted in simulation for its simplicity. The fuzzy reason rules are used for course-keeping system and for the calculation of Collision Risk using TCPA/DCPA. Moreover‘encounter type’ between two ships is analyzed based on Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea and collision avoidance action is suggested, Some situations are simulated to verity the developed algorithm and appropriate avoidance action is shown in the simulation.

  • Dynamic analysis of a marine slender structure is often involved with contacts among bodies or between bodies and seafloor. This paper presents an efficient and general contact search algorithm for dynamics in the context of the compliance contact model. A global detecting method that a bounding box is divided into several pieces in global coordinate system is presented in this paper. The method has an advantage that the number of contacting searching can be smaller than other methods for a system. The developed an efficient contact search algorithm is applied to the simulation program of 3D nonlinear dynamics of slender structure. Some examples are presented to show the validity of the proposed method.

  • Marine traffic engineering is the technical field that observe flows of vessel traffic in accurate and describe the features of ships' movement statistically or analytically, then contribute to the improvement of the traffic flow and safety of traffic. Recently, marine traffic engineering has been developed until that possible to estimate a changes in traffic flow caused from some transformations of the traffic condition, and to assess the feasibility and validity of the changes by computer simulation. This paper aims to assess the present traffic safety at the sea area adjacent to Pusan harbour, and the validity of the suggested roundabouts traffic separation scheme at the Pusan approaching water(by Park in 1998) using environmental stress aggregation model There are couple of steps to describe the marine traffic situation and to assess it's safety by computer simulation. The first step is observe the movement of vessel traffic concerned waters and to obtain the relevant data for computer simulation. Second step is to carry out computer simulation to assess the simulated traffic flows by using suitable indexes of assessment model - environmental stress aggregation model. Eventually, this paper conclude that the environmental stress aggregation model is a useful technique to assess the traffic safety and the suggested roundabouts traffic separation scheme could make the concerned area safer than present traffic situation.

  • Sea level rise and increase of the typhoon/hurricane intensity due to global warming have threaten coastal areas for residential and industrial and have been widely studied. In this study we showed our recent efforts on sea wind which is one of critical factors for safe maritime traffic and prediction for storm surges and waves. Currently, most of numerical weather models in korea do not have sufficient spatial and temporal resolutions, therefore we set up a find grid(about 9km) sea wind prediction system that predicts every 12 hours for three day using Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF). This system covers adjacent seas around korean peninsula Comparisons of two observed data, Ieodo Ocean Research station(IORS) and Yellow Sea Buoy(YSB), showed reasonable agreements and by data assimilation we will improve better accurate sea winds in near future.

  • 영산강 하구언 방조제의 건설로 인한 항만 및 이의 인접해역 해면의 변화는 예상한 바 있으며 실제 여러개소에서 월 2회정도의 주기로 목포 구항부근 상업지역에서 해면상승에 따라 주기적으로 침수되는 현상이 나타나고 있다 목포항의 영산강 하구언 방조제 조성으로 인한 조류성분중 최고기록을 가진 수로에서는 6kts 정도로 감소된 것으로 보고되고 있으나 주위자연환경 변화에 따른 수면 상승 및 해수면의 주기적인 변화 등에 대한 상세한 언급 및 깊이 있는 분석은 회피되어왔다. 수자원의 효율적관리를 위해 하구언 방조제는 이미 건설되었고 앞으로 대규모의 항만개발과 대불산업단지조성을 위해 추가 3개의 만입해안해역에 댐으로 해역을 막아 매립공사를 추진하고 있다 그러나 이 지역에 대한 분석은 타당성의 여부만을 강조한 상업적 용역이 이루어지고 있고 장래 개발에 대해 학술적이고 실질적인 문제점 추출과 해결방아네 대해서는 무시하거나 경시한 바가 많다 더구나 태풍 저기압 등과 같은 자연재해를 고려한 분석은 시도되지 못하고 있다 따라서 개발전후의 현상에 대한 상세한 자료 및 현장 조사와 극한 상태를 고려하여 개발에 따른 수위상승 부진동, 조류 수질등 이해역의 변화요소를 수집하고 분석하며 과학적 접근방법에 기초를 둔 수치모델의 실험을 포함하여 현장관측 및 측정자료를 검증하는 것이 필수적이라고 사료되어 종합분석의 한단계로 여기서는 하구언 및 하구간척(Land Reclamatic of Estuary barren)으로 해역축소에 따른 해면변화의 실제현상을 조사하여 정리하고 이를 수치모델을 통해 시뮬레이션하여 보았다 이는 종합개발의 좋은 기초자료로 이용됨은 물론이로 이지역의 개발에 기여할 것으로본다.적절하게 가정된 지반의 응력-변형률 관계와 간극수압특성에 의하여 고려되었다. 그 결과 응력 및 변위가 심하게 발생하는 지역은 황색 점토층이었으며 이로부터 황색 점토층에서 부터 파괴면이 생성되어 다른 지역으로 전파되었음을 유추할 수 있었다.form trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions.   • The International Hydrographic Organization has developed the S-100 standard as a geospatial standard to express various types of hydrographic information. Product specification describes information of data on ENC such as definition, structure, data model, etc. S-129 PS is for under keel clearance management information. In this paper, to help developers to implement S-129 PS using the technology of S-100, we analyze the process to portray the S-100 based data and then implement a case study. This paper introduces the XSLT processing of portrayal engine to reform the generated data set, and the generation of drawing instructions to display the data set on the electronic chart. A case study is experimented to display the portrayal output of under keel clearance management on an electronic chart.

  • Elastic dynamic responses analysis program for ship hulls considering slamming impact loads due to the voyage in large amplitude waves is developed. Ship hull structures are modeled by a thin-walled beam model in order to consider effects of shear deformation. The momentum slamming theory is used to derive nonlinear hydrodynamic forces considering intersection between wave particles and ship section. For the validation of the developed computer program, motions of a V-shaped simple section model and S-175 standard container model are calculated and analyzed. In each numerical example, time histories of relative displacement, velocity and vertical bending moment of a ship section are derived, considering the effect of slamming impacts in various wave conditions.ures near the free surface as well as the wake of the hydrofoil.

  • 접안을 위해 선박이 안벽으로 접근할 때나, 좁은 항내에서 선박을 조종할 때는 항해 중에서보다 많은 제약이 따른다. 그것은 대형 선박일수도 분 관성력으로 인해 효과적인 제어가 어렵기 때문이다. 그래서 터그보트를 수동적으로 제어하여 선박을 접안시키는 것이 현재로선 가장 일반적이 접안기술이라 할 수 있다. 지능적인 제어기술을 적용하여 자동접안을 시도하려는 연구결과가 보고되고 있으나, 대부분이 auto-pilot 기술에 지나지 않으며 어느 것 하나 안정적인 접안을 위한 접안기술로 볼 수 없다. 이와 같이 터그보트를 이용할 수밖에 없는 현실이라면, 보다 효과적인 터그보트 제어기술을 기반으로 한 접안지원시스템을 개발하는 것이 우선일 것이다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 터그보트의 원격제어를 통해 모선을 효과적이고 안정적으로 접안하는 문제에 대해 고찰하였다. 즉, 터그보트로 조종되는 선박조종시스템에 대한 모델링을 수행하고, 터그보트로부터 발생되는 제어력을 적절히 분배하여 모선을 제어하는 새로운 접안지원시스템을 개발하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 시스템의 유효성을 검증하였다.
