A study on the image formation system variable and performance analysis for optimum design of high resolution SAR (고해상도 SAR 최적 설계를 위한 영상형성 시스템 변수 및 성능분석에 관한 연구)

  • Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has been employed in various fields due to its capability to generate high resolution images regardless of weather and visibility. This paper presents a performance analysis on the image formation of high resolution SAR according to various slant range distance and synthetic aperture lengths using a range migration algorithm simulator. Although the visual performance on the SAR image is more accurate, a numeric analysis resulted in a comparable measurement. More specifically, raw data were generated for an ideal point target upon imaging geometries and design parameters such as slant range distance and synthetic aperture lengths. Finally, spatial resolution, peak to sidelobe ratio and integrated sidelobe ratio are drawn to provide SAR capabilities in the initial concept design, final in-flight calibration and validation stages.

  • The algorithm developed in this paper allows us to generate or synthesize a large amount of data sets using only a small amount of signal features obtained from the original data set. Because the simulated density profiles of yarns retain the original features without a significant loss of information on the location of imperfections, the resulting fabric images are likely to resemble the original images. The data expansion system developed could generate a large area of fabric images by combining the Monte Carlo simulation and the wavelet sub-band exchange algorithm developed. The system has proven effective for simulating realistic fabric images by retaining the location of imperfections such as neps, thin and thick places.

  • In this paper, we implemented memory BIST circuit based on ION march algorithm, and the IEEE 1149.1 has been designed as main controlJer for embedded memory testing. The implemented memory BIST can be used for word-oriented memory since it adopts background data, this is avaliable for word-oriented memory. It is able to detect all stuck-at faults, transition faults, coupling faults, and address decoder faults in the word-oriented memory. Memory BIST and IEEE 1149.1 are described at RTL level in Verilog-HDL, and synthesized with the Synopsys. The synthesized circuits are fully velified using VerilogXL and memory cell generated by memory compiler.

Double Talk Detection using the Fuzzy Inference (퍼지 추론을 이용한 동시통화 검출)

  • This paper addresses a new double detection algorithm which is based on the fuzzy control in the adaptive echo canceller of communication system. In this method, the two input of the fuzzy inference for detecting double talk condition are used. The one is the cross-correlation coefficient between the error signal and the primary signal which is the summed signal of the real echo signal and the near-end signal. The other is the cross-correlation coefficient between the estimation error signal and the primary signal. The fuzzy controller made a fuzzification for two inputs by the membership functions of trapezoid and them became the composition using inference rules. The composed result is defuzzificated by the center gravity method. The output is compared with two threshold values to detect double talk and echo path variation effectively. It is confirmed by computer simulation that this fuzzy double talk detector is able to track echo path variation accurately.

  • 3 차원 그래픽스에 적용하는 한국어 립씽크 합성 체계를 연구하여, 말소리에 대응하는 자연스러운 립씽크를 자동적으로 생성하도록 하는 디자인 시스템을 연구 개발하였다. 페이셜애니메이션은 크게 나누어 감정 표현, 즉 표정의 애니메이션과 대화 시 입술 모양의 변화를 중심으로 하는 대화 애니메이션 부분으로 구분할 수 있다. 표정 애니메이션의 경우 약간의 문화적 차이를 제외한다면 거의 세계 공통의 보편적인 요소들로 이루어지는 반면 대화 애니메이션의 경우는 언어에 따른 차이를 고려해야 한다. 이와 같은 문제로 인해 영어권 및 일본어 권에서 제안되는 음성에 따른 립싱크 합성방법을 한국어에 그대로 적용하면 청각 정보와 시각 정보의 부조화로 인해 지각의 왜곡을 일으킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 표기된 텍스트를 한국어 발음열로 변환, HMM 알고리듬을 이용한 입력 음성의 시분할, 한국어 음소에 따른 얼굴특징점의 3 차원 움직임을 정의하는 과정을 거쳐 텍스트와 음성를 통해 3 차원 대화 애니메이션을 생성하는 한국어 립싱크합성 시스템을 개발 실제 캐릭터 디자인과정에 적용하도록 하였다. 또한 본 연구는 즉시 적용이 가능한 3 차원 캐릭터 애니메이션뿐만 아니라 아바타를 활용한 동적 인터페이스의 요소기술로서 사용될 수 있는 선행연구이기도 하다. 즉 3 차원 그래픽스 기술을 활용하는 영상디자인 분야와 HCI 에 적용할 수 있는 양면적 특성을 지니고 있다. 휴먼 커뮤니케이션은 언어적 대화 커뮤니케이션과 시각적 표정 커뮤니케이션으로 이루어진다. 즉 페이셜애니메이션의 적용은 보다 인간적인 휴먼 커뮤니케이션의 양상을 지니고 있다. 결국 인간적인 상호작용성이 강조되고, 보다 편한 인간적 대화 방식의 휴먼 인터페이스로 그 미래적 양상이 변화할 것으로 예측되는 아바타를 활용한 인터페이스 디자인과 가상현실 분야에 보다 폭넓게 활용될 수 있다.

  • The Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), the first geostationary ocean color observation instrument launched in 2010 on board the Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite (COMS), has been generating the operational level 1 data. This study describes a methodology for creating the GOCI true color image and data processing software, namely the GOCI RGB maker. The algorithm uses a generic atmospheric correction and reprojection technique to produce the color composite image. Especially, the program is designed for educational purpose in a way that the region of interest and image size can be determined by the user. By distributing software to public, it would maximize the understanding and utilizing the GOCI data. Moreover, images produced from the geostationary observations are expected to be an excellent tool for monitoring environmental changes.

Quality Improvement of Karaoke Mode in SAOC using Cross Prediction based Vocal Estimation Method (교차 예측 기반의 보컬 추정 방법을 이용한 SAOC Karaoke 모드에서의 음질 향상 기법에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we present a vocal suppression algorithm that can enhance the quality of music signal coded using Spatial Audio Object Coding (SAOC) in Karaoke mode. The residual vocal component in the coded music signal is estimated by using a cross prediction method in which the music signal coded in Karaoke mode is used as the primary input and the vocal signal coded in Solo mode is used as a reference. However, the signals are extracted from the same downmix signal and highly correlated, so that the music signal can be severely damaged by the cross prediction. To prevent this, a psycho-acoustic disturbance rule is proposed, in which the level of disturbance to the reference input of the cross prediction filter is adapted according to the auditory masking property. Objective and subjective test were performed and the results confirm that the proposed algorithm offers improved quality.

  • Although the performance of cameras is gradually improving now, there are noise in the acquired digital images from the camera, which acts as an obstacle to obtaining high-resolution images. Traditionally, a filtering method has been used for denoising, and a convolutional neural network (CNN), one of the deep learning techniques, has been showing better performance than traditional methods in the field of image denoising, but the details in images could be lost during the learning process. In this paper, we present a CNN for image denoising, which improves image details by learning the details of the image based on wavelet transform. The proposed network uses two subnetworks for detail enhancement and noise extraction. The experiment was conducted through Gaussian noise and real-world noise, we confirmed that our proposed method was able to solve the detail loss problem more effectively than conventional algorithms, and we verified that both objective quality evaluation and subjective quality comparison showed excellent results.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient SA(simulated annealing) algorithm for the synthesis of binary phase computer generated hologram. SA algorithm is a method to find the optimal solution through iterative technique. It is important that selecting cost function and parameters within this algorithm. The aplications of converentional SA algorithm to synthesize parameters within this algorithm. The applications of conventional SA algorithm to synthesize binary hologram have many problems because of inappropriate paramters and cost function. So, we propose a new cost function and a calculation technique of proper parameters required to achieve the optimal solution. Computer simulation results show that the proposed method is better than conventional method in terms of diffraction efficiency and reconstruction error. Also, we show the reconstructed images by the proposed method through optical esperiment.

  • 본 논문에서는 VPN을 위한 IPSec 암호 프로세서의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 기술한다. IPSec 암호 프로세서의 기밀성 서비스를 위한 암호엔진은 DES, 3 DES, SEED, 그리고 AES 알고리듬 등을 사용하여 설계하였고, 인증 및 무결성 보안 서비스를 위한 인증엔진은 HMAC(The Hashed Message Authenticat ion Code)-SHA-1을 기본으로 설계하였다. 제안된 암호 프로세서는 Verilog를 사용하여 구조적 모델링을 행하였으며, Xilinx사의 ISE 6.2i 툴을 이용하여 논리 합성을 수행하였다. FPGA 구현을 위해서 Xilinx ISE 6.2i툴과 Modelsim을 이용하여 타이밍 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.
