The Korea-Chile FTA talks began in December 1999 and concluded in October 2002, with official endorsement in April 2004. This FTA of a first for Korea, went into effect on April 1 in 2004. The purpose of this study to measure the Chile product evaluation in the Korean consumer after Korea-Chile FTA signed. The major result of article can be summarized as the follows: This paper investigates the determinants of 'product attitude', 'quality recognition', 'price recognition', 'use safety', 'use convenience', and 'design(appearance)'. There are 500 sended samples and 487 returns, 476 of them are analyzed for a entry competitiveness. In the analysis result of the article, The first, multiple regression result shows that the Chile goods evaluation are positively affected by the 'product attitude', 'price recognition', 'use safety', 'use convenience', and 'design(appearance)'. However, The 'quality recognition' factor do not affect in Chile goods evaluation.

FTA is the key post in international trade policy together with WTO. This paper studies the appraisal of bilateral Free Trade Association among Korea and Chile which has been started from April of last year. After FTA our actual results of export to Chile has been increased as forecasted but import from Chile hasn't increased as anxiety. Also Korea $\cdot$ Chile FTA gives us a political suggestion for propulsion of FTA with another countries hereafter.

In this study, we analyze South Korea and China have already concluded FTA rules of origin. By comparison and analysis of the relevant provisions in the country of origin of signed FTA, we obtained the necessary implications of origin on the FTA negotiations that will be concluded in the future. FTA between Korea and China's opening level is much lower than the already concluded FTA's, and Korea and the ASEAN FTA has already been signed with similar concessions. However, in understanding the rules of origin in China, it is important for us that China is the first trading partner of the trade. Korean companies are well aware of the rules of origin in China, and it should be noted to prevent damage caused due to the rules of origin in the process of expanding trade with the Contracting Parties.

FTA is one of the most important trade policies for the motor car industry. Due to the large amount of employment and production the motor car industry provides in a country, in a lot of cases, the protective trade policies that countries employ are targeted for the motor car industry. In this point of view, it can be said that the Latin American FTA strategy such as the 'Korea-Columbia FTA', 'Korea-Peru FTA' and 'Korea-Chile FTA' has a large influence in the development of Korea's car industry. This paper analyses changes in factors influencing car export before and after the signing of the Korea-Chile FTA to forecast the export of motor cars to Latin America and aims to propose an action plan. Research shows that out of the variables 'exchange rate', 'GDP', and 'oil price, 'GDP' showed a strong corelation with export before and after the FTA. Regression analysis also showed that only 'GDP' has an impact on export rates and that its impact is most highest after the exhibition of FTA's effects. This suggests that FTA has an important effect in motor car export to Latin America but export is also strongly interlocked with the local country's economic condition which highlights the requirement for an action plan such as the establishment of local production systems.

Free Trade Agreement(FTA) aims at abolishing tariffs on trade among nations or regions resulting in having a significant impact on maritime transportation and port. Korea made the first FTA with Chile in 2004 and the trade volume between two countries has seen significant increase. The literature on such impact, however, seems to be very limited. The main purpose of this study is, therefore, to analyze the impact of Korea-Chile Free Trade Agreement on the imported container throughput from Chile at the Busan Port. For this both cross-sectional and time series data are collected that comprise container throughput, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), import tariff, and maritime freight rate, from 2000 to 2011, and the gravity model is applied. The main result of the study shows that the dependent variables, GDP and import tariff are statistically significant, but the maritime freight rate is not consistent with regarding to statistical significance and parameter sign.

The present study made an empirical analysis for investigating the competitiveness of technology trades in Korea. In particular, the study deduced the correlation between technology export and technology import using the variables of Gross Domestic Expenditure on R&D and Per capita industry value added Productivity and employed fixed effect model in panel linear regression model. It is found that the R&D expenditure of OECD countries made a significant effect on the technology import and the value-added labor productivity made a significant result on both technology export and import. Therefore, it showed that the technology trade in Korea made a sensitive response to labor productivity in OECD countries. By panel analysis, machine, construction, ICT, and service industry affect most on technology export in Korea for recent 5 years. For technology import, electric-electron, chemical, service, and construction industry have significant effects. This study contributed to understanding of industrial characteristics affecting technology trades in Korea and empirical analysis to show correlation between the factors affecting technology trade.
