There are few opportunities for different generations to interact, and generational conflicts are emerging as a social problem as the number of people aged 65 and over is increasing. Efforts to solve the problem through interactions between the young and the old have been made in various fields, but reading-related intergenerational activities are rare. A qualitative study was conducted to provide constructive suggestions by hosting a book club for the young and the old, carrying out individual interviews, and analyzing them. Participants in this study agreed that there were few opportunities for intergenerational exchanges. However, they found that reading-based intergenerational activities were mutually beneficial in the intergenerational book club. The participants hoped the number of such occasions would increase. The study resulted in a few implications for intergenerational book clubs, which should help vitalize the book clubs and accentuate the benefits of social reading.

정부가 발표한 차세대 성장동력 육성정책의 한 분야인 디지털콘텐츠 산업 발전을 위한 첫 발을 정보통신부가 내딛었다. 정통부는 디지털콘텐츠산업을 선도하는 업체와 학계, 연구소, 협회 등 핵심 인력 300여명으로 구성된 국내 최고 커뮤니티인‘한국 디지털콘텐츠 미래포럼’을 출범했다. 이에 10월 1일 디지털콘텐츠 산업 발전을 위해 뜻을 같이 한 국내 대표 통신사업자와 SI기업 대표들과 함께 창립총회를 열고 본격적인 활동에 들어갔다.

IBM이 16비트 PC를 처음 선보인 81년 이후 오늘에 이르기까지 10여년간의 운영체제(0S) 시장은 마이크로소프트(MS)사의 독주시대로 요약할 수 있다. 그러나 지금까지 이렇다 할 변화를 보이지 않던 OS제품은 90년대에 들어서면서 커다란 변화의 조짐에 횝싸이고 있다. 그동안 8086, 80286등의 마이크로프로세서를 탑재한 16비트 PC시장이 80386,80486등을 탑재한 32비트 시장으로 급변하기 시작했고 종전 데스크탑 일변도의 PC시장은 랩톱,노트북형 등의 휴대형컴퓨터와 펜컴퓨터,멀티미디어 등의 차세대 제품등으로 세분화되기 시작한 것이다. 또 32비트 시대가 다가오면서 한사람이 한 대의 PC로 일을 하는 종전 PC운용환경은 넷워킹과 멀티테스킹이 강조되는 다중작업 환경으로 전환되고 있으며 윈도즈(Windows) 3.0의 대히트로 IBM PC에서도 GUI(그래픽 사용자인터페이스) 환경을 요구, 이를 위한 새로운 05의 등장이 불가피해지고 있다. 게다가 지금까지 메인프레임을 중심으로 한 중앙집중방식의 컴퓨터환경이 다운사이징화 되면서 넷워크 환경을 기반으로 한 PC의 역할이 크게 강조, 이를 위한 운영체제 또한 새로운 영역으로 대두되고 있다. 불과 1∼2년 사이에 급진전되고 있는 이같은 변화의 물결은 필연적으로 다양한 운영체제의 개발을 가져왔고 이를 통해 차세대 PC시장을 주도하기 위한 업계의 패권다툼은 전쟁을 방불케할 만큼 치열해지고 있다. MS사의 전유물이었던 DOS 영역에서는 최근 노벨사와의 합병으로 전열을 가 다듬은 디지틀리서치사가 가세, 한판승부를 선언하고 나섰으며 고성능 PC시대의 패권을 잡기 위해 10년지기였던 IBM과 MS사는 각각 OS/2와 윈도즈를 내세우고 양보할 수 없는 힘겨루기에 들어갔다. 또 이들 양사는 펜컴퓨터,멀티미디어등 차세대제품의 운영체제 시장을 둘러싸고 일찍부터 격전에 들어갔으며 IBM과 MS사의 혼전을 틈타 썬마이크로시스템을 필두로한 워크스테이션 업체 및 유닉스진영까지 고성능 PC시장을 겨냥한 OS를 속속 개발, 90년대의 OS 전쟁은 한치 앞을 내다볼 수 없는 안개국면으로 접어들고 있다. DOS에서 32비트시대,펜컴퓨터, 멀티미디어에 이르는 차세대제품을 둘러싼 업계의 OS 쟁탈전을 통해 OS의 발전동향과 미래를 전망해 본다.

The interworking for voice service between next generation mobile network and traditional network can be deployed better flexible and expansible network conditions with providing efficiency and economy of network at the same time. So it is essential to develop the interworking strategies together with a evolved network and traditional network. This paper describes a design and verification of internetworking protocol for CC of next generation mobile network and SIP of IP network for applying interworking technology to next generation mobile network, which can harmoniously expropraise voice service from traditional network.

This Study aimed at finding the new-aging support policy in local government through establishing the role of the 50 Plus Center. The results showed that the new seniors had higher social participation needs than the old seniors. But existing institutions like Senior Center were lacking such a role. Therefore, 50 Plus Center that is the first public institution to retired citizens of Seoul should focus on Life Design Education and Community Involvement Education.

The three important phases in the development of ligand immunoassays are identified and summarized. The competitive radiolabelled hormone measurement had been developed in the first and early in the second generations(1950s to 1960s), such as radioimmunoassays(RIA) or immunoradiometric(saturation) assays(IRMA), and used in all most of the hormone and also analyte in biological samples. In the second generation, ultrasensitive non-isotopic immunoassays(NIA) were developed using monoclonal antibodies(McAb), labelling the McAb and high specific activity non-isotopic labels. After their usefulness, advantages and disadvantages has been evaluated and non-competitive methods are discussed. The chip/microarray based multianalyte ligand assays(microspot or genechip methods) are developed and known as alternative ones in the third generation. We summarize the developments of NIAs and its usefulness, and then introduce briefly the new ligand assays.

This study analyzed in depth the students' health fitness trend characteristics based on the per generation characteristics longitudinal grade level document that was produced by collecting heath fitness measurements of students from all over the country for the purpose of exploring the appropriate wellness management plan. The following conclusion was derived through the collected materials and results according to the research purpose and method. First, it was determined that muscular endurance trends for both boys and girls in their elementary school period were similar for the current generation and the previous one, but as they went through their middle school period their muscular endurance development levels were found to be reduced compared with the previous generation students. Second, there was no difference in the cardiorespiratory endurance trends between the current and the previous generation students, unlike all other physical factors. Third, the boys displayed deteriorated reflex development during their growth period compared with their previous generation counterparts. On the other hand, girls displayed mostly stagnant development once they reached 8th grade level within their generation.

최근 이동전화 시장은 전 세계 대부분의 국가에서 3세대 서비스의 부진과 음성서비스의 포화 내지는 정체상태에 직면하고 있으며, 3세대 IMT2000 서비스의 경우, 기존망의 급속한 성능 향상과 장비 및 단말기 개발 지연 등으로 이용자의 Needs를 충분히 반영하지 못하여 시장 활성화가 부진한 상태이다. 음성서비스와 함께 이동전화 서비스의 양축이라 할 수 있는 무선인터넷 서비스의 경우 음성을 중심으로 한 이동전화 시스템 특성상 저속의 전송속도 및 비싼 요금 문제로 이동전화 시장이 포화된 우리나라에서 조차도 서비스 확산에 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황이다.
