At present, most of school mathematical terms in elementary and secondary curriculums of Korea are Sino-Korean words. 1964 Mathematical Editing Material, which aimed to unify mathematical terms into mainly Sino-Korean words, was considered a key factor for this situation. 1964 Editing Material depended heavily on 1956 Mathematical Terminology, which contains a lot of Korean native words and displays the school mathematical terms after 1945. There are many Korean native words in the Second Mathematical Curriculum. This shows that Korean native words of mathematics had been consolidated to some extent at that time. In North Korea, a lot of Korean native words are still used in mathematics. Some Sino-Korean words were recently changed to Korean native words in South Korea. 1956 Mathematical Terminology tells the method to make Korean native words of mathematics and will be an excellent guide for making Korean native words.

Ancient books from East Asia, especially, Korea, China and Japan, are all written in Chinese. Ancient mathematical books like 九章算術(Gujang Sansul in Korean sound, Jiuzhang Suanshu in Chinese) is not exceptional and also was written in Chinese. The book 九章算術音義(Gujang Sansul Eumeui in Korean, Jiuzhang Suanshu Yinyi in Chinese), a dictionary-like book on 九章算術was published by official 李籍(Lǐ Jí) of 唐(Tang) dynasty (AD 618-907). We discuss how to pronounce Chinese characters based on 九章算術音義. To do so, we compare the pronunciation of the characters used in the words which are explained in 九章算術音義, to those of the current Korean and Chinese. Surprisingly, the pronunciations of the Chinese characters are almost all accordant with those of both Korean and Chinese.

1987년 정보교환용 부호가 완성음절형 부호계로 개정되면서 한글 음절 표현은 극히 제한되어 컴퓨터상에서 한글의 표현은 제약을 받게 되었다. 1446년 훈민정음이 공포된 후로 목판, 활자시대를 지나서 타자기를 만나면서 한자와 다른 길을 걸어왔다. 특히 컴퓨터시대가 되면서 한글은 타자 이상의 적합성을 가지고 있지만 훈민정음 창제원리에 대한 이해부족으로 음절문자로 분류하여 완성음절형 부호를 지원하게 됨에 따라서 많은 문제를 야기하고 있다. 국제표준인 유니코드에는 세가지 종류의 부호가 반영되어 있는데 음절문자 중심의 부호화이므로 훈민정음의 특성을 해치는 일이며 또한 한글의 과학성을 부정하는 일이기도 하다. 본 논문은 훈민정음 창제원리에 입각하지 않음으로 생긴 문제에 대한 근본적인 해결책으로 훈민정음을 표현하는 최적 폰트 설계 방안을 검토하고 현행의 한글부코드표준의 개선 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

$5{\sim}6$에 향기 짙은 순백색 꽃이 소박하고 탐스럽게 피었다가 10월에 붉은색으로 단장하는 열매는 마치 나무의 정수를 탄생시킨 양 매우 열정적이고, 고귀한 아름다움을 간직하고 있다. 또한 겨울에 하얀 설경을 배경으로 달려있는 열매는 관상적 가치는 물론 생명의 강인함을 넘어 우리 인간들에게 무엇이라 꾸짖는 듯한 외침이 서려있는 도전적 자태에 우리의 마음을 빼앗기는 아름다움으로 세파에 찌들인 도시인들에게 조경수 및 관상수 인기가 급상승하고 있는 수종이다. 특히 마가목은 한자명으로 馬牙木(마아목)이라고 불리는데 이것은 봄에 생겨나는 새순이 말의 이빨처럼 힘차게 돋아난다고 해서 동적인 감정과 함께 용기와 생동감을 주는 나무이다. 특히 공해에 강한 수종으로 도시에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 일반적으로 병해충에 강하다고 알려져 있으나 몇몇 해충은 관리를 소홀히 하면 피해를 볼 수 있고 심하면 고사하므로 각별한 주의가 요망된다.

Steroid and local anesthetics were injected into the epidural space through the posterior sacral foramen or lumbar approach in 4 patients for the purposes of relieving severe low back pain and radiculopathy. These patients were referred from other sections dealing with low back pain and radiculopathy, because one could not tolerate the surgical stress due to a heart problem, another two did not want the operation and the last had post-laminectomy status. All patients were satisfied with the results subjectively.

한글은 알파벳 문자처럼 소리를 바탕으로 한 표음문자이지만, 각 글자의 형태는 표의문자인 한자와 유사한 시각적인 효과를 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 자기공명 영상법을 이용하여 한국인이 한글문자와 그림을 인지할 경우 나타나는 신경망적 특성을 알아보았다. 그 결과. 한글과 그림 자극에 대하여 양반구 모두에서 후측두엽 부위의 활성화가 나타났다. 그러나, 전두엽과 측두엽 부분의 활성화는 오직 한글자극의 경우에만 관찰되었다. 좌반구 중전 두엽의 활성화는 음성 및 의미론적 처리와 관련되어 있다고 볼 수 있으며, 우반구 anterior cingulate 활성화는 언어 및 소리의 형성과 관계가 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 우반구 medial frontal 영역인 BA 8의 활성화가 관찰되었다 이 영역은 시각적으로 고차적인 비음성적 자극을 통제하거나 그와 유사한 시각공간적인 정보의 분석과 관련이 있다고 알려져 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 한글의 특성적인 형태가 특정 영역을 활성화시킨 것을 시사한다.

초등 음악에서 전통 국악이 차지하는 비중이 점차 커지고 있다. 하지만 정간보라는 대표적인 국악보가 있지만 제재곡의 대부분을 서양 악보인 오선보로 표기하고 있다. 제7차교육과정에서 단소 연주를 위한 한글 율명의 가로 정간보를 도입하였지만 오션보로 표기된 제재곡과는 별개로 등장하여 연관성이 부족하다. XML은 고정되지 않은 마크업 언어이며 확장성이 높고 재사용하기가 쉬운 보편적인 포맷으로 차세대 인터넷 표준 언어라고 불린다. 이에 본 논문에서는 단순히 그래픽 형식의 오선보와 정간보를 동시에 제시하는 것이 아니라 초등 국악보의 공통된 정보를 찾아내어 연관성을 제시하고 XML을 이용하여 표준화된 초등 국악보 정보를 제공하고 플래시 스크립트를 활용하여 웹으로 표현하는 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 이런 표준화된 정보로 국악교육에서 오선보와 정간보가 일관성 있게 사용이 될 것을 기대하며 나아가 동일한 표준정보를 활용하여 세로 한자 정간보의 표현 등으로 확장될 것을 기대한다.

1900년대 초에 발행된 천문학 서적 2권을 중심으로 사용된 천문학 용어를 현재와 비교분석하는 연구를 진행하였다. 우리는 두 서적에 사용된 용어에서 천문학용어, 화학원소 용어, 인물 및 지명 용어로 나누어서 현재의 과학용어사전과 비교하였다. 지금까지 사용되는 용어와 지금은 사용하지 않는 용어, 그리고 의미는 동일하지만 변화를 보인 용어로 나누어 분석하였다. 한 권의 천문학 서적에는 영어 색인이 포함되어 있어, 그 기준으로 현재와 비교하고, 나머지 천문학 서적은 본문에 나온 용어를 추려서 비교하였다. 용어를 통해서 두 권의 서적이 다른 경로로 수입 번역되었음을 알 수 있었고, 현재와 같이 용어의 통일이 없었다는 점에서 당시 천문학 교육의 한계점이 드러났다. 이 연구는 당시의 천문학 서적이나 관련 서적을 연구할 때, 한자 표기 없이 영어 어휘를 음차하여 표기된 용어를 동정하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 보인다.

Ground penetrating radar(GPR) uses radio waves to detect buried objects in any non-metallic material. Initially it was used to detect structures in ice. GPR has evolved to include the penetration of soils, rocks and man-made structures. GPR uses a sensitive detector to record weak radio waves reflected from objects embedded in the material under investigation. In this study, the GPR is applied to outside plant telecommunication facilities such as cable tunnels, manholes and underground conduits and model experiments to obtain radar characteristics. The thickness and soundness of tunnel lining can be evaluated, and the location of rebars and steel ribs can also be found effectively. The location of underground conduits as well as manholes can be found and the results of GPR give good coincidence with design drawings. In order to investigate the tunnel lining, the GPR mounted vehicle is developed and it is proved that the vehicle can save time and manpower.

''고''마크 제품이 고효율에너지기자재로 통합됨에 따라 그에 따른 지원제도가 개정됐다. 한전은 고효율 조명기기 보급사업 내용중 기존 고마크 기술규격 인정승인 기준을 고효율에너지기자재 기술규격에 적합한 제품으로 개정하고, 절전용량 총합이 6kW이상 설치 또는 교체한자에게 지급하던 것도 4kW 이상으로 낮췄다. 단, 학교나 군부대 등은 전기사용계약단위별 절전용량이 4kW 미만이라도 각 교육청이나 군부대에서 관내학교와 군부대를 일괄하여 단위공사건의 절전용량총합이 4kW이상일 경우에는 지원금을 지급한다. 개당 지급단가는 형광등용 안정기 1등용 2,800원, 2등용 4,210원, 안정기내장형 램프 2,050원이며, 신청 지원금 지급은 8월 1일부터 시행된다.
