인류는 자연으로부터 식량과 질병 치료를 위하여 자연스럽게 약초를 얻을 수 있었다. 약 6만 년 전 네안데르탈인의 무덤에서 오늘날 향료로 쓰이는 약초가 발견 될 정도로 인류가 약초를 이용한 역사는 오래 되었다. 약초는 난치병, 노화, 성인병 등 현대의학에서 미비점을 보완하는 대체의약 산업의 원료이자 새로운 생물자원의 보고로서, 그 중요성이 커지고 있다. 새로운 생물자원 소재로 약초는 약용성분을 함유한 식물자원의 확보 및 개발 등 고부가산업의 소재로 선진국에서 연구개발의 경쟁이 치열하며, 약초산업은 천연소재 신약과 기능성 식품, 화장품, 생활용품 등으로 확대되고 있다. 의약품 분야에서는 새로운 시대의 중요한 생명산업으로서 약초는 한약뿐 아니라 신약 개발을 위한 소재로도 부각되고 있으며, 항암제인 택솔, 신종플루 치료제인 타미플루 등 천연물 약의 가능성은 이미 증명되었다. 식품 분야에서는 재배기술 발달과 웰빙 트렌드 속에서 약초는 신선채소와 기능성 식품으로 변신하고 있다. 한약재의 이미지를 벗어난 약초는 음료와 과자, 술 등으로 활용되고, 비빔밥 등 다양한 약선음식으로도 개발되고 있다. 산업소재의 활용분야에서는 약초는 특히 화장품 산업의 소재로 각광받고 있다. 이미 다양한 화장품 회사에서 한방화장품을 출시하여 세계 속으로 진출하고 있다. 또한 약초는 천연 색소이자 생활 용품의 소재로 활용되고 있는데, 약초를 활용한 염색약과 여성 생리대, 샴푸 등의 인기가 높다. 약초산업의 부가가치 증대를 위하여 한약재 위주의 약초산업을 천연물 신약, 기능성 식품, 화장품, 산업 소재 등 고부가가치 시장으로 확장시키고, 우리 약초 산업의 세계화를 추진해야 한다. 연구개발 투자 확대와 빠르게 변화하는 시장을 반영하여 연구 방향을 수립하고, 산학연 및 생산자단체 등과 새로운 약초 산업의 블루오션 창출을 위해 협력을 해야 할 것이다. 또한 약초의 생산기술 안정화를 통해 산업화 기반을 구축하여, 약초 공급의 안정화, 약초 생산 농가 소득 안정화가 필요하며, 마지막으로 변해가는 약초 산업의 트렌드에 부응할 수 있는 품질관리와 유통 질서 확립을 위한 정책과 제도의 선진화가 뒷받침 되어야 할 것이다.

This study analyzed whether the patients' visits to oriental medicine hospitals were influenced by the Euclidean distance from patients' residence to oriental medicine hospitals. Patient who visited two oriental medicine hospitals in a metropolitan area were selected for study sample. The number of patient from each Dong (which is the smallest administrative district) to two hospitals was calculated based on claims data in 2008. ArcGIS was used to calculate the distance. Distance variable was not statistically significant in regression analysis after controlling the difference of socio-economic status of people in each Dong. It seems that distance factor did not play an important role in deciding whether to use the services of oriental medicine hospitals in a metropolitan area.

The purpose of this research is to determine oriental hospital staffs' education status, their knowledge, overall attitudes and self-confidence in conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how those factors influence their performance of CPR. This research was conducted from September 1st to 15th in 2014 and involved 104 participants who worked at P Oriental Hospital at Y city, and well-structured surveys were used throughout the research. The collected data underwent descriptive statics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression by the SPSS WIN 19.0 program. The results revealed the staffs' knowledge of CPR (r=.27, p=.007), attitude (r=.42, p=.001), and confidence in conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (r=.48, p=.001), which indicates all the factors are positively correlated. In conclusion, as the knowledge of CPR increased, CPR attitude and CPR performance confidence increased. We also found that a positive attitude toward CPR increases CPR performance confidence. Therefore, education in CPR should be included in workplaces. Through education, CPR performance and performance confidence can be reinforced at the time of emergency.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to present basic data on organizational changes in a Korean medicine hospital by performing organizational diagnosis and examining the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the hospital. Methods : The subjects were a total of 218 employees in four Korean medicine hospitals, and data were collected from 1st to 25th September 2015. Using SPSS 21.0, frequency analysis, technical statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results : The Korean medicine hospital tended to value relationships, the rewards for and attitudes towards change were low. The number of participants in this study with higher organizational diagnosis scores was high for job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and there was a strong positive correlation. It was seen that rewards, relationship, helpful mechanisms, and leadership among organizational diagnosis areas had an effect on job satisfaction, and helpful mechanisms, purposes, and leadership had an effect on organizational commitment. Conclusions : These findings will be useful because policies, research, and education are needed to facilitate organizational changes in Korean medicine hospitals.

Mt. Jiri, where is located in southwestern area of Korea, can be a treasury of herbal medicine plants grown wild. More than 1200 species currently classified as herbs are grown or cultivated. Recently, the studies on the safflower which attracts the interests in the inhibition of skin aging in the modern people have been actively investigated, and this study aims to confirm that polyphenol compound, the main ingredient of safflower, can be a natural material to cause the delayed effect on the skin aging, inhibiting the generation of wrinkle in the 30 to 40s middle aged females. Primarily, this study is to confirm the anti-oxidizing effect by DPPH assay in vitro, and to evaluate the efficacy of inhibition or improvement on the wrinkle generation in the face skin by clinical trials, additionally. In addition, we are confident to contribute on the improvement of functional cosmetic industry, developing the sample product of anti-aging mask pack which has the main ingredient with the extract of safflower.

The purpose of this study is to suggest guidelines for drawing and keeping customers through knowing function of herbal and food. Customers have known herbal foods to high nutritional foods, prevention of high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. Also, people recognized highly garlic which has function prevention cancer, brown seaweed which is controlled blood pressure, and ginkgo nut which is helpful for asthma, detoxication. They know specifically function of herbal materials such as mugwort, ginseng, and royal golly. The guidelines are as followed. The first, seasonal herbal tea provide in stead of water like medicinal foods. The second, various cereals, Chinese herbal materials, and vegetables are added to the main rice. So it can make to eat everyday like nutrition rice which is mixed with garlic and ginkgo. The third, specific function food' and herbal's should be explained on the menu. Therefore, it make attract customer's curious and interest.

Objectives : The 5th lumbar - 1st sacrum facet joint is unstable area from an anatomical viewpoint, so that it is clinically major causes of low back pain. The purpose of this study is to assess the difference of the Van Akkerveeken measurement and intervertebral disc angle, Ferguson angle between the 5th lumbar - 1st sacrum facet syndrome patients and sample group patients. Methods : Van Akkerveeken measurement, intervertebral disc angle and Ferguson angle were measured in 30 patients who had 5th lumbar - 1st sacrum facet syndrome and 31 sample group patients. Results : 1. Van Akkerveeken measurement of 5th lumbar - 1st sacrum facet syndrome patients is statistically larger that of than sample group patients. 2. Intervertebral disc angle of the 5th lumbar - 1st sacrum facet syndrome patients is statistically larger that of than sample group patients. 3. Ferguson angle is the 5th lumbar - 1st sacrum facet syndrome patients is statistically larger than that of sample group patients. Conclusions : These results suggest that Van Akkerveeken measurement and intervertebral disc angle is able to be used for diagnosis of facet syndrome.

지구상의 유일한 분단국가인 우리나라는 항시 전쟁의 위험에 노출되어있고 이로 인해 세계적으로 안정과 평화에 대한 의구심을 초래하고 있다. 또한 이와 같은 문제로 인해 국가 이미지 실추 및 국가산업 저하를 초래하고 있다. 특히 김정일 국방위원장의 건강 상태는 세계적으로 관심의 대상이 되고 있는 것으로 이에 대한 분석은 국가 안보에 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있다. 그러나 폐쇄되어 있는 북한의 특성상 이를 파악하기가 용이한 일은 아니다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 한의학의 진단법인 망진법을 적용하여 최근 공개된 김정일 국방위원장의 얼굴 영상에서 안면 분석을 수행하여 병색 여부 및 최근에 초점이 되고 있는 심장과 신장 부위에 대한 찰색을 수행하였다.

The purpose of this parer is to identify the input-output structure of oriental medicine and its alternative medicine industries in an inter-industry context and to estimate its forward and backward effects on macroeconomic variables such as production, employment and price level. Input-output tables released by The Bank of Korea were used as data in this research and inter-industry analysis was adopted as research methodology. The industry takes less share of production, price and trade in a Korean economy, compared with other industry. However, the industry's capability of creating value added is estimated to be well above that of other industry and that of making new employments is as more than 4 times as other industries. This result gives us policy implications that the government should enhance its subsidy policy and economic (tax) incentives for oriental medicine and its related alternative medicine industries.
