  • This paper presents an algorithm to estimate voltage unbalance which is due to railway demand, and which is most troublesome to polyphase motors. For the sake of accuracy, a circuit analysis procedure is introduced in this algorithm. The circuit analysis procedure enables the algorithm to produce a voltage and current profiles as well as unbalance indices. The proposed algorithm is applied to the test system(standard AT fed system) for the analyses of unbalance phenomena. The result shows that the algorithm is useful in the field of railway system planning.

  • This paper proposes a realistic electrical train to apply it to EMTDC. The pattern of a train operation always changes on the time domain. The impedance load generally does not represent it at this point. Therefor, we operated a realistic simulation by using measured data at field. Of course we might use the results of TPS.

  • 동적섭식경로모델을 사용하여 "목초$\longrightarrow$우유$\longrightarrow$사람"의 핵종이동 경로에 대해 침적시점에 따른 입력변수의 민감도와 결과에 대한 불확실성분석을 수행하였다. Cs-137과 Sr-90의 경우 모든 침적시점에 대해 재부유인자가 가장 높은 중요도를 보였다. 두 핵종에 대해 침적시점에 따른 입력변수의 중요도의 변화는 비슷한 유형을 보였다. 목초의 성장기에서 전이율이 상대적으로 중요도가 높았고, Cs-137의 전이율은 Sr-90의 경우보다 높은 중요도를 나타냈다. 목초의 비성장기에서 Sr-90에 대한 농축인자의 중요도는 매우 높았다. Cs-137과 Sr-90에 의한 피폭선량의 95% 신뢰도구간은 약 1 $\times$ $10^1$, 5 $\times$ $10^1$ 범위를 나타냈다. 범위를 나타냈다.

  • This paper develops the compliance approach to the problem of load sharing between a cracked plate and a patch used to bridge the crack. The theory is validated by using calculated stress intensity factors for the patched and unpatched case to reduce experimentally observed growth rates to common base, Calculations are then made on the effect of patch dimension on fatique life technique. The optimum design of the patch considered the life expectancy and fracture strength of the cracked structure can be performed simply by using this technique.

  • DC substation of urban transit supplies a suitable DC power on electricity vehicles by being supplied from KEPCO. DC substation is verified electrical safety of system through pre-operation inspection on electrical installations to be supplied power from KEPCO. However, because test items and method for DC traction system are unprepared on pre-operation inspection, the general safety and performance verification of DC traction system are very insufficient. Therefore this paper analyze the overseas test examples such as factory equipment tests, factory combined tests and railway tests for the safety and performance verification of DC traction system and present a suitable test items and test standard in domestic.

  • DC transit system has been adopted in the metropolitan area, Korea since 1974. EMU in this system always reiterates that acceleration and retardation. When EMU decelerates using electric breaking, regenerative power occurs. Regenerative power can be consumed in vicinity EMU on the same line or in resistor. If DC transit system has inverter for reusing regenerative power, Energy efficiency in DC transit system will be increased. This paper present the developed inverter for regenerative power and its test equipment. Test result of developed inverter is presented.

  • when electric traction system used DC 1500V runs on decline of rail road track and slows down, dc voltage goes beyond regular voltage. In this case extra power is forcibly wasted by resister because rectifier of substation and electric train including power converter and so on are out of order. This paper described a DC electric railway system, which can generate the excessive DC power form DC bus line to AC source in substation for traction system. The purpose of this study was the development of the regenerative inverter system which suppress extra DC-line voltage and regenerate the energy instead of using a resister. That is Developed regenerative inverter system returns the regenerative energy from the DC line voltage to the utility. In addition, the inverter can be compensate the harmonics caused by the power conversion devices used in the DC traction system.

  • Fatigue lives of C.T. specimens containing the holes or the holes filled with other materials are investiated by experimental and analytical methods. The results of the study are as follows; 1) The fatigue lives are in the order of E'/E > 1, E'/E = 1, and E'/E < 1, where E' is the Young's modulus of other materials filling holes and E is that of matrix. 2) The fatigue life of E'/E = 0 is shortest than thost of E'/E > 1, E'/E = 1 and E'/E < 1. 3) The fatigue life of C.T. specimen containing the holes filled with other materials is shorter than that of matrix without holes. 4) Because of the stress concentration around the bonding boundary, crack initiates from the lower left on the boundary and propagates toward the upper right along the boundary.

  • 초기 상압 플라즈마 장치는 주로 식품 가공 및 살균, 표면 처리 등에 사용되었으나, 최근에는 저온 플라즈마를 이용하여 의학, 생물학분야의 연구에도 널리 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 바이오 메디컬 분야에 사용할 수 있는 Handheld 타입의 Mesh 전극을 이용한 대기압 플라즈마 소스 장치를 개발하였다. Royer inverter 회로를 통해 1 kV 60 kHz 정현파를 사용하여 DBD방전을 하였다. Mesh 타입 전극의 길이, He Gas Flow에 따른 플라즈마의 전기적 특성을 분석하고, OES 장비를 이용하여 플라즈마에서 발생하는 ROS (Radical Oxygen Species)와 같은 Gas 화학종을 분석하였다.

  • A systematic methodology has been proposed to establish a reliable design of water pump system. A simplified steady-state dynamic model of water pump system has been developed to study the response of water pump system to the dynamic load mainly due to the run-out and unbalance. Design modifications are needed to strengthen the structural integrity of existing designs. Increasing the natural frequency of system is pursued to prevent a resonance from occurring in the engine excitation range. A computational reliability methodology combined with finite element analysis is used to identify the most significant factor affecting the system performance. This method considered influence of design control parameters for the performance of design. By including control factors to the system model in a systematic way, more reliable design is expected.
