This study is a basic one analyzing the scenic characteristics that are created in Royal Garden in China while taking into consideration that Royal Garden in China is a fruit compiling all of the Chinese classical gardens. In case of Summer Palace in China, it adopted various kinds of landscape displaying techniques for fulfilling the desires of an Emperor who wanted to appreciate beautiful landscapes all the time. Accordingly, the scenic characteristics can be summarized as follows. First, Summer Garden creates various kinds of garden landscapes through various kinds of landscape creation techniques, such as, Borrowed Landscape, Central One, Background One, Symmetrical One, Axial One, Dividing One, Framed One, Window One and Complementing One, etc. Second, it was created in order for visitors to focus on appreciation of landscapes by allocating hard points while considering the symmetric structure, Structure of Long Corridor and Visual Physiology of a building on the basis of the South-North Pivotal Line. Third, it utilized the scenic spot transferring technique that introduces the landscapes of scenic spots in various regions of China to Summer Palace to be matched to the unique geological characteristics of Summer Garden. It was found that Summer Palace adopted the common landscaping techniques in Jiangnan Region of Ancient China since the landscape of Jichang Garden in Hangzhou and that of Shan Tang Jie in Suzhou are reproduced and transferred. It was found that 3 methods mentioned above have the effects that attract sightseers' eyes naturally and make their interests concentrated as well as reviving the feeling of space in a garden and creating abundant scenic beauty.

The System of Rice Intensification (SRI) has been spread very quickly in southern Cambodia. To understand the motivation of farmers in adapting SRI, and its benefits, we conducted an on-farm study at Popel commune, Tramkak district, Takeo province in southern Cambodia, during the 2012 and 2013 wet season. We noticed a significant difference between SRI and conventional farmers' practices (FP) in rainfed lowland rice ecosystem. Despite of low nitrogen input, without chemical fertilizers, high grain yield was achieved in SRI 1 (6.0 t ha) and SRI2-Bottom ($7.2t\;ha^{-1}$) in 2013. SRI 1 and SRI 2 of panicle and number of panicle were high than SR 3, FP 2, and FP 3 due to early transplant. Relationships between total number of spikelet and plant nitrogen were ($r^2=0.95$) highly positive at harvest. SRI fields were, most of them achieving highly superior yield and number of panicle compared to their FP fields. The results indicated that SRI practices of planting younger seedling, with organic material and topography of paddy, lead to increased grain yield.

The formation age and depositional environment of the marine terrace I of the estimated paleoshoreline altitude of 18m in Sanhari of Ulsan coast, southeastern Korea were investigated on the basis of examination of lithofacies and stratigraphy of terrace deposits. Marine deposits of the terrace is composed of rounded boulders(70cm in diameter) and rounded pebbles(1.0cm in diameter) which overlay them. The above rounded boulders which lie on the paleo-shore platform are considered to have been formed by wave abrasion in the same period that the paleo-shore platform was developed. The rounded pebbles which lie on the rounded boulder layer are considered to have been deposited in gravel beach and berm environment, judging from the laminae developed in this layer. The paleo-shore platform and marine rounded gravel layer of the terrace are assumed to have been formed in the large transgression period of the Last Interglacial culmination stage(MIS 5e), judging from the comparision of the formation age of 125ka B.P. of Juckcheon terrace I in the adjacent Pohang coast which was dated by amino acid dating. The terrestrial deposit of this terrace was largely composed of angular and subangular gravel mixed with marine rounded pebble which has been carried away mainly from the deposit of previous marine terraces and redeposited in this terrace. The lowest peat layer of terrastrial deposit was considered to have been deposited during the period from the late MIS 5e which is the estimated finishing time of deposition of the above marine gravels to the early stage of following regression period(MIS 5d) in which the sea level was still high. The sediments of angular and subangular gravel deposit which lie on this peat layer were assumed to have been deposited during the period from the early stage of the first regression period(MIS 5d) of the Last Interglacial to the Last Glacial. The lower part of the angular gravel layer is composed of the deposits of the fluvial and colluvial sediments, whereas most of the upper and middle part of the layer is mainly composed of angular gravels of colluvial sediments formed in the cold environment.
This study describes a prediction method for rainfall-induced landslides and subsequently debris flows in a regional scale areas. Special attention is given to the calculation of the propagation of debris flows by considering rainfall infiltration into soil slopes and soil entrainments by debris flows. The proposed method was verified by comparing the analytical results and the measured ones reported by the previous research. As a result, predictions and observations were quite similar in terms of the front position, the velocity, volume and momentum of debris flows. Even when applied to natural mountain slope with complicated terrain, numerical results and observations were similar. At last, the combined analysis of landslides and debris flows were conducted. The landslides prediction showed a predictive rate of about 83%, and the result of the final volume of debris flow showed an error rate of 3%. As a result, the proposed combined method for landslides and debris flows overcomes the problem of separating the landslides analysis and the debris flows simulation. Especially, the proposed method can analyze the effects of rainfall on entrainments by debris flows as well as rainfall-induced landslides and the behavior of debris flows.

It is difficult for farmers to select new crops for cultivation to increase income. So we conducted land suitability assessment of grapes with soil and climate information related to crop growth. At first, land suitabilities for grapes were classified into three categories (most suitable, suitable, low productive & not suitable areas) according to soil and climate conditions, respectively. In details, land suitability with respect to soil was assessed by soil morphological and physical properties including soil texture, drainage class, available soil depth, slope and gravel content, whereas one in accordance with climate was evaluated by average annual temperature, temperature during the growing season, temperature during maturation, the lowest temperature, chilling requirement and precipitation during the growing season. Secondly, we combined both soil and climate classification results using a most-limiting characteristic method. Maps showing the suitable land for grapes cultivation were drawn. The results indicate that the most suitable area of cultivation for grapes in south Korea was 3.43% and suitable (possible) area was 10.61%. This study may help to preserve land and increase the productivity through providing valuable information regarding where more suitable areas for grapes are located.

This paper is to verify the effectiveness of 'Hybrid Disaster Management Strategy' that integrates 'RTM(Real-time Monitoring) based On-line' and 'UAV based Off-line' system. For landslide prone area where sensors were installed, the conventional way of risk management so far has entirely relied on RTM data collected from the field through the instrumentation devices. But it's not enough due to the limitation of'Pin-point sensor'which tend to provide with only the localized information where sensors have stayed fixed. It lacks, therefore, the whole picture to be grasped. In this paper, utilizing 'Digital Photogrammetry Software Pix4D', the possibility of inference for the deformation of ungauged area has been reviewed. For this purpose, actual measurement data from RTM were compared with the estimated value from 3D point cloud outcome by UAV, and the consequent results has shown very accurate in terms of RMSE.

The authors had presented two previous papers[1,2] on Helicopter/Rotorcraft develoment in Europe and US. Meanwhile, the next generation rotorcrafts, currently under development in US and Europe, have new configurations (tilt-rotor, coaxial, compound) of rotor-type vertical takeoff/landing rotorcrafts to overcome the disadvantages of traditional helicopters. For developing these new types of rotorcrafts, the upgraded conceptual design/comprehensive programs are required. In US and Europe, they are already developing new program tools with their technologies and database obtained during more than last half centuries. For us, many academia, research institutes and industrial engineers have experienced and developed core technologies on rotorcrafts (aerodynamics, structural analysis, flight dynamics, and noise analysis etc.) comparable to US and Europe during last couple of decades of developing helicopters and various configurations of rotorcrafts. In this paper, the pros and cons of conceptual design/comprehensive tools currently used in US and Europe have been summarized. Furthermore, the possibilities and problems to develope our own design and analysis tools have been studied.

In order to construct a precision geoid, it has been diversified into land, sea, aviation, and satellite gravity measurement methods, and measurement technology has developed, making it possible to secure high-resolution, high-precision gravity data. The construction of precision geoids can be fast and conveniently decided through GNSS surveys without separate leveling, and since 2014, the National Geographic Information Institute has been developing a hybrid geoid model to improve the accuracy of height surveying based on GNSS. In this study, the results of the GNSS height measurement were compared and analyzed choosing existing public reference points to verify the GNSS height measurement of public surveys. Experiments are conducted with GNSS height measurements and analyzed precision for public reference points on coastal, border, and mountainous terrain presented as low-precision areas or expected-to-be low-precision in research reports. To verify the GNSS height measurement, the GNSS ellipsoid height of the surrounding integrated datum to be used as a base point for the GNSS height measurement at the public datum. Based on the checked integrated datum, the GNSS ellipsoid of the public datum was calculated, and the elevation was calculated using the KNGeoid18 model and compared with the results of the direct level measurement elevation. The analysis showed that the results of GNSS height measurement at public reference points in the coastal, border, and mountainous areas were satisfied with the accuracy of public level measurement in grades 3 and 4. Through this study, GNSS level measurement can be used more efficiently than existing direct level measurements depending on the height accuracy required by users, and KNGeoids 18 can also be used in various fields such as autonomous vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The aim of this study, a traditional residential area in the environmentally friendly design techniques to identify the techniques and principles that have been carried out to reestablish the principles. To do this, through literature review environmental performance is reflected in the traditional residential area side of resources conservation, locational aspects, spatial configuration, and how cases were selected looking for ways to apply modern. Are examples of upper class housing in the Chosen Dynasty Period period construction relatively well-preserved round and a good building with a clear housing Dokrakdang year were selected. Locational aspects of the terrain with minimal changes to the building and construction techniques were entirely in terms of environmental conservation and environmental temperature was adjusted to regulate the room temperature technique could be seen. In terms of cycling in natural materials were recycled. and water make used of positive through water cycling technique & water control. In addition, the importance of landscape views overlooking the landscape from inside to outside through the regulation of the various internal and external space technique was used to attract and expand. Traditionality in the pursuit of modern space, simply cut off because of tradition rather than to restore or recover the organizing principle inherent in the traditional space, and extraction of the contemporary social, cultural and environmental understanding of space is acceptable in basis. Environmentally-friendly design techniques in a traditional residential area for a long time to be developed by the experience of its application of modern environmental and energy problems and pleasant environment to the creation of human life and are subject to significant swings in that.

This study aims to discuss the characteristics of garden architecture in Italian Renaissance Villa Lante that was constructed by the cardinal in Bagnaia at 16th century through actual survey and analysis of the garden's elements. To do this, it was studied in two ways: Analysis of the present conditions and review historical documents. The results are as follows. First, the buildings, the gardens and the surrounding landscapes are visually connected each other in relations between the topography and the surrounding landscapes. Second, the spatial composition accepted Neoplatonic law of multiple proportions and was influenced by ancient myth and "Liber ruralium commodorum" of Pietro de Crescenzi(1305). Third, the garden's elements consist of plants, buildings and items. In plants, the upper plants are fir tree, cypress and pine tree and the lower plants are english holly, box tree and sweet oleander. The buildings are casino, loggia and terrace. The items are pot, sundial, chair, viewing platform and fountain. The result of this study, the political and social, technical phenomena which constitute construction pattern affected the locational property and the spatial organization of the neighbor on Villa Lante.
