  • In this paper, we investigate hidden node problem to effectively utilize TV band devices(TVBDs) in the TV white space(TVWS), and also to protect digital television(DTV) service in Korea. Firstly, we classify the radio propagation environment into an urban area, a basin area, and a coastal area based on geographical characteristics. Thereafter, we measure and analyze local shape based hidden node attenuation at eight segmented positions in each geographic area. Because commercial buildings as well as residential and commercial buildings in Korea are located in closer proximity to each other than in other countries, hidden node margin should be more than 38 dB in order to safely protect DTV service in Korea.

  • Wireless mesh network (WMN) has recently emerged as a promising technology for tactical operation. If a platoon is organized with MPs, this system is suitable for tactical coverage is given for battle field where there is a shortage of wired infrastructure. However, MPs of typical WMN are generally fixed. This condition does not apply to diverse tactical scenarios. In this paper, it is considered that MPs have group mobility for flexible tactical networks. We propose cluster based multi-channel MAC scheme for mobilie WMN with single antenna condition. We have reduced the collision problems and message storming problems occur by mobility, so the reliability of WMN has been improved. Consequently, reliable communication is guaranteed by our framework in mobile WMN.

  • Characteristics of digital broadcasting are multi-channel, high-definition and multi-function. especially, multi-function is enable us to do a variety of services except for an image and a voice. This paper, therefore, is analyzed propagation environment in Busan into ETRI model application about 지상파 DMB service. It takes to be simulated in Busan area around the mountains area and high building. So it measures the electric field strength in standards. Distribution pattern are similar with mutually in the 이론 and real measurement. Even areas are almost the same, but urban areas and mountains are different with mutually. Therefore, we conclude that ETRI propagation model and theoretical modeling in a free space in Busan area is not suitable.

  • Earth-work calculation is the important data for estimating the optimal construction cost at the construction site. Earth-work calculations require the accurate terrain data and precise soil volume calculations. Drone surveying technology provides accurate topography in a short time and economic advantages. In this paper, a drone surveying technique was used to derive a high precision soil volume calculation system. Field demonstration were performed to verify the accuracy of the volume measurement system. The results of earth-work calculation using drone survey were compared with those of GPS surveying. In addition, the developed earth-work volume calculation algorithm is compared with the existing aerial survey software (Pix4D) to verify the accuracy.

  • In this paper, we proposed the geolocation method using target detection information in infrared images. Our method was applied to geolocation system of hostile targets in ground-to-ground field. The major distortion that has bad effect of geolocation was composed of optic, topography, GPS(Global Positioning System) and IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) of reconnaissance unit. We proposed enhanced geolocation method to cope with optic and topography distortion using polynomial fitting and slant-range calculation model to overcome earth curvature problem, and the result showed that the performance of our method was good for system requirements.

  • It is important to maintain information by application or 3D modeling through the satellite and UAV image which is a real world. The prevention business has recognized the need for accurate 3-D geospatial information around the disaster region to identify objects to 3D modeling. In this paper, we presented an approach to create 3D model and loading, processing the image using GIS techniques, and the digital topographic maps were used for the DEM and the features of the area. The result is a implementation of the simple application that illustrates the objects in 3-D. The presented approach will be used for identifying objects and assisting in regional planning around the airfields.

  • Recently, various ways are being explored for enhancing the fun of computer games and lengthening the life cycle of them. This paper proposes the more active game environment by reflecting the decision that is made by collecting and analyzing user's behavioral data. The game results and traveling information of user is using for dynamic map creation. For experiment of the proposed method, we created games using the XNA Framework and confirmed the game environment which changing properly according to the user's game play.

  • The accurate prediction of wave-induced currents is indispensible to analyze the beach deformation due to the sediment transport or dispersion in the surf zone, which often gives rises to serious environmental problems in the coastal region. Although many numerical models have been suggested up to now, it is not easy to properly simulate wave-induced currents, in particular, over a complex topography. In order to solve these problems, we have to understand the mechanism of wave transformation and wave-induced currents, to compare results numerical models with those of field measurements, and to find the validity and the applicability of them. And, also the validity of the model has been confirmed by the field investigation.

  • Game artificial intelligence is usually used to provide intelligent and adjusted game environment for user. Previously, it was used for Non-player character(NPC) playing a role of a company or an enemy through collecting and analyzing a user's behaviour. However, it was just mimicking the user's behavior. This paper introduces a method to change game environment by analyzing a user's game behavior. Game behavior data has been used to understand user's game preference. Also, the user's preference was used to provide more active game environment by reflecting decision of geographical features, items and distribution of NPC. For experiment of the suggested method, we utilized a real 2D action game and confirmed the game environment which changing properly according to the user's game play.
