Based on the material in the Center for Insect Systematics, Chuncheon, Korea and Institute of Biology and Pedology, Vladivostok, Russia, 4 species of tineids are described as new to science: Morophaga parabucepkala sp. nov., Ceratutzcus orientatzus sp. nov., Gerontha ampliptera sp. nov., and G. namhaensis sp. nov. Furthermore 6 species are recognized new to Korea: , and 4 species new to Russian Far East:

A total of four Perigrapha species were found in Northeast China. Among them, Perigrapha extincta Kononenko, 1989 is reported for the first time in China. The species is briefly redescribed with adult and male genitalia pictures, key, and geographic distributions.

A total of 302 species of Geometridae was recognized from N. Korea, based on the matenal preserved in the Hunganan Natural History Museum. Of these, 24 and subspecies are reported for the first time from the Korean peninsula.

A total of ten unrecorded liverwort species in the Hepaticae flora of Korea were collected on Mt. Deogyu (1,614 m). The ten species are Tetralophozia filiformis (Steph.) Urmi., Herbertus buchii $Jusl{\acute{e}n$, Bazzania japonica (Sande Lac.) Lindb., Cephaloziella hampeana (Nees) Schiffner ex Loeske., Jungermannia japonica Amak., Marsupella alpina (Gott. ex Husn.) Bernet., Pedinophyllum interruptum (Nees) Kaal., Frullania polyptera Tayl., Jubula hutchinsiae ssp. javanica (Steph.) Verd., and Marchantia polymorpha ssp. montivagans Bischl. and Boisselier-Dubayle. They are distributed near streams and/or at the top of a ridge on Mt. Deogyu.

Sparganium fallax Graebn. (Sparganiaceae), a species previously unrecorded for the Korean flora, was collected in a broad-leaved, evergreen swamp in the lowlands of eastern Jeju Island. This species was known to be distributed south of Jeju Island including Japan, South China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia (Sumatra), Myanmar, and New Guinea. S. fallax differ from others of Sparganiaceae in Korea by having keeled leaves, 4-7 staminate heads, relatively wide separation between each pistillate head and usually sessile or lowest pedunculated pistillate heads. The somatic chromosome number was 2n = 2x = 30 and the size of chromosomes was very small (0.69 to $2.19{\mu}m$).

An examination of caddisfly materials from the field trips in Vietnam during 2002-2003 resulted in the recognition of the male adult of Tinodes reuse Malicky & Chantaramongkol(new Vietnamese record) and four undetermined species of larvae (Psychomyia VL1, Psychomyia VL2, Paduniella VL1, and Tinodes VL1) in the family Psychomyiidae Genera Psychomyia and Paduniella are recorded from Vietnam for the first time. Material data, descriptions, diagnoses, distributions, and taxonomic remarks are provided.

Three naturalized taxa in Korea such as Scleranthus annuus L., Verbena bonariensis L. and Hordeum jubatum L. were newly recorded. Short descriptions and illustrations for the these species were provided. Especially, Scleranthus L. is first recorded as a new genus of Korean flora.

The present study on the classification and description of the marin Neogastropoda and Basommatophora was based on the materials which were collected during the period from 12 th to 17 th of July in 1989 at ten localities of Ullng Island , Korea. All of 7 families and 19 species were reported including the 16 unrecorded species from the Ullng Island as a result of this study. Among them, 3 species [Zafrona (Clathranachis) japonica (A.Adams , 1860), Enzinopsis menkeana (Dunker, 1860) and Pollia mollis, (Gould, 1860)] were new to the fauna of Korea.

The genus Helina Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 is one of the largest groups belonging to the subfamily Phaoniinae in the family Muscidae, comprising more than 540 species worldwide. In this taxonomic study, the genus Helina was recorded first time from the Korea with following three unrecorded species: H. deleta (Stein, 1914), H. evecta (Harris, 1780), and H. subpubiseta Xue, 1986. Taxonomic information, morphological photographs, and an identification key to the Korean species were provided.

한국산 참알락뭉툭맵시벌 족을 재고찰한 결과 3 종의 기존종이 확인되었으며, 한국 미기록종인 Cteniscus quadri eps Uchida, SMicroplectrus erosus holmgren 과 Smicroplectrus quinquceinctus GRavenhorst 등 3종이 추가되어 한국산 참알락뭉툭맵시벌 족은 총 6종이 보고된다.
