  • 위험물들은 위험물의 사용 및 관리뿐만 아니라 수송시에도 많은 위험성을 내포하고 있어 각국에서는 적당한 기준을 마련하여 특별히 관리하고 있다. 우리나라 철도 위험물안전수송에 관한 철도안전법 개정을 위하여 국내 철도 위험물의 수송량과 종류를 분석하고 국내외 위험물분류기준을 비교하였다. 우리나라는 지리적으로 대륙을 연결하기 편리한 위치에 있어 향후 국경을 넘어 대륙을 횡단하는 국제법을 채택하는 것이 유리하고, 수송되어야 할 물질의 종류가 다양해질 것을 대비하여 국제적으로 통용될 수 있는 위험물일람표를 채택하는 것을 제안하였다.

  • An analysis of the railroad industry for R&D investments has been insufficient whereas there are lots of analysis of accumulation of technology, economic performances and ripple effects for macroscopic view and other industry of R&D investments. This study decided intellectual rights, patent, and paper as common indicators of scientific and technological performances for setting up performance targets through surveying and analysis of preceding study and verified a appropriateness of scientific and technological performances for railroad R&D 11 projects which were successfully finished. Preceding study has been set up performance targets by research investments as input, but this study made a performance target by model through a cross-sectional and residual analysis of performances of railroad R&D 11 Projects in applying research investments, capital investments, inner labor cost and inner labor cost per man and research time as inputs, and verified a validity and a empirical analysis through analysis of other project.

  • To boost the Korean peninsula as a logistical hub of North-East Asia in 21st century is an important part of Korean development strategies. This research has been conducted on the premise that the connection and operation of the Korean Peninsula break-railway and Euro-Asian railway network will be a great drive for Korean economy and railway technology development. For the preparation to do a further research on this subject, this paper introduces the general condition and related basic material for the railway network operation through the countries along the corridor. It also provides the basic data of railway and actual operation condition in the involved Euro- Asian areas, such as Russia, China, Mongolia, Kazakh-stan, etc.

  • This paper presents the case studies of Tubular Roof construction Method(T.R.c.M) and Semi Shield method, which were applied to the tunnel excavation under the pre-existing railways. It was proved that T.R.c.M was an effective and safe method for the tunnel excavated in soft soil, giving little damage to the railways located a few meters above. Semi Shield was also performed successfully to bore a tunnel in soft and hard rock, minimizing the ground settlement and tilting of vulnerable fuel tanks. Site and soil conditions are also discussed, which led these relatively new methods to success. Finally, comparison of the measurement results and the design values are made to verify and improve the current design practice.

  • When a testing body is being inserted to the ground by Front Jacking Method, the influence of friction forces around the body plays important role in the characteristics of whole ground behavior. In the study, the Front Jacking Method that most frequently used in Korea who applied with experimental way. And the characteristics of ground behavior that caused by the friction that acts to the upper slab was analysed for the basic data that can be utilized for real scale experiment.

  • Recently, the crossing tunnel has been constructed to maintain the operation highway as well as railroad. The advantages of adopting RPS method in crossing tunnel construction are needed a little space and easy to change the direction of cutting shoe during the construction of pipe roof. The numerical analysis of RPS was performed for the application in the crossing tunnel under railroad. The earth pressure distribution and settlement were predicted when the RPS method was applied during the excavation for crossing tunnel construction.

  • There are many cross tunnelling methods such as NTR, TRCM, Messer Shield, Front Jacking, and Pipe Roof Method. The advantages of adopting RPS(Roof Panel Shield) method in crossing tunnel construction with comparing other existing cross tunnelling method are needed a little space and easy to change the direction of cutting shoe during the construction of pipe roof. The 3-dimensional numerical analysis of RPS was performed for the application in the crossing tunnel under railroad.   • Shindorim Station is the most important transfer station which is crossed Seoul Metro Line-2 and national rail traffic Kyungbu, Honam and Kyungin Line etc.. There is the lagest transfer passengers and the greatest rail traffic. Therefore to solve the congeted station problem, Shindorim station extension project has been planned. This project has very difficult many problems. One of them is undercrossing the national rail traffic ground without open-cut excavation. There are many undercrossing construction methods in our country. But this project is required the best safety. So the best applicable methods are investigated, which are Front-Jacking, NTR and TRcM. In Design stage Front-Jacking with PRS method which is gound reinforcing is applied.

  • Recently, as the road capacity reaches the limit and environmental problems becomes serious, there is gradually increased a need for railroad vehicles that are environment-friendly and have time regularity, reliability and safety. Accordingly, in addition to conventional railroad vehicles, lots of vehicles are being newly developed. We developed the hardware and software of the measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of korean high speed train. The software controls the hardware of the mesurement data and acts as interface between users and the system hardware. In this paper, we is studied for electric apparatus performance of railway vehicle using sensor. In order to this test is developed signal conversion system. Using this system, we obtained important result for pantograph voltage, battery voltage, axle speed, and inverter current.

The Management Strategies of TSR Service Operators in Korea (우리나라 TSR Service Operators의 발전 방향에 관한 연구)

  • The Northeast Asia has been the fastest growing region in the world for the past few decades. And now the economic bloc maintains its status as a major powerhouse of the world economy. On the way of its economic growth, Russia and Central Asian countries have emerged as major trading partners. The Trans-Siberian Railway(TSR) has been playing a pivotal role in promoting economic cooperation between the two regions. This paper investigates economic environment of the Korean TSR service operators through the SWOT analysis, then proposes management strategies for them. For this purpose, the authors analyze characteristics and roles of the TSR service operators. In addition, a comparison of difference between service operators and shippers about their recognition of economic environment of the TSR transportation service is also carried out.
