Analysis on the current collection characteristics of the KHST in high speed range over 300km/h (300km/h이상 고속대역에서 한국형 고속열차의 집전특성 분석)

  • The Korean High Speed Train(KHST) had been developed and evaluating on the Kyoung-Bu High Speed Line by through 'G7-R&D project'. In order to evaluate the function and characteristics of high speed train system, various experimental conditions have been considered and conducted. In this paper, current collection characteristics of KHST between pantograph and catenary system and dynamic behaviors are measured and analysed over 300 to 350km/h in running speed of KHST. A measuring system which was developed and installed on the Korean High Speed Train for the performance and mechanical characteristics of the KHST pantograph is used for this trial running test and we proofed that KHST has a remarkable and stable current collection characteristics as it had been designed.

  • In this paper, speed control of IPMSM drives for the next generation domestic high speed railway system using NPC 3-level inverters is presented. The NPC multilevel inverter is suitable for the high-voltage and high-power motor drive system because it has advantages in that the voltage rating of the power semiconductor devices and output current harmonics are reduced. For the speed control of IPMSM using NPC 3-level inverters, maximum torque control is applied in the constant torque region, and filed weakening control is applied in the constant power region. Simulation programs based on MATLAB/Simulink are developed. Finally the designed system is verified and their characteristics are analyzed by the simulation results.

  • 현재의 공장 자동화, 국방, 항공, 철도, 금융 등을 포함하는 실시간 시스템은 여러 개의 컴퓨터가 다수의 장소에서 서로의 데이터 교환을 통한 협동 작업으로 여러 가지 기능 및 업무를 수행한다. 이는 마치 멀티프로세서를 가진 컴퓨터같이 생각할 수 있으며 이와같은 시스템에 있어서 업무 수행의 효율은 각 프로세서의 계산 능력에 비례함과 동시에 각 노드간의 데이터 전송 능력에 비례한다고 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 실시간 시스템이 올바르게 동작하기 위해서는 한정된 시간 내에 일정한 양의 데이터의 전달을 확정적으로 보장해 줄 수 있는 네트워크를 필요로 하는데 이를 실시간 네트워크(Real time network)라고 한다. 현대의 분산제어 시스템에 있어서 확정적인 시간 내의 데이터 전달은 전체 제어 시스템의 응동 특성에 중요한 요인이 된다. 본 논문은 한국형 고속 전철의 시제차(Prototype train)에 적용된 국제 표준 실시간 네트워크인 열차 통신 네트워크(Train Communication Network)에 관련한 내용이다. 실시간 네트워크는 실시간성을 보장하기 위해서 상호 교환될 데이터가 필요에 따라(온라인 상에서) 변경되는 것이 아니라 오프라인 디자인의 결과로 미리 결정되어진다. 즉 통신장치 사이에 전달되는 네트워크 데이터는 미리 설계된 네트워크 테이블을 기초로 정해진 시간에, 정해진 데이터가, 정해진 방식으로 전달되어 진다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 네트워크의 오프라인 설계를 하기 위한 도구로서 개발되어진 네트워크 데이터 테이블 작성 프로그램에 대해서 설명한다.

  • This paper presents a modelling methodology using fuzzy logic and train performance simulation for determining an economical running pattern for a high speed train which minimizes energy consumption under an given trip margin. The economical running pattern is defined with an economical maximum speed in traction phase, a speed at the end of coasting. As a case study, the simulation is carried out for an economical run of korea high speed train prototype, and the results of fuzzy model described.

  • It is essential to evaluate harmonic characteristics of high speed train using power electronics equipment such as converter-driven motor drives, battery chargers and auxiliary power supplies. The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze harmonics characteristics of korea high speed train prototype. This paper presents result of harmonics measurement and analysis of harmonics characteristics in terms of loading, speed and operation mode.

  • Computer aided simulation is becoming an essential part in planning, design, and operation of railway systems. To determine the adequate performance and specification of railway system, it is necessary to calculate rotting stock's performance such as distance, speed, power etc when train's running. This paper presents result of train performance simulation using the program that developed in advance for Korea high speed train. To verify result of simulation, we have compared that with experiment data.

  • It is important to evaluate the power quality at a substation when a test train is running. Especially, the Korea Electric Power Company(KEPCO) restrict the power quality generated from the electrical train within limited value. So, this paper represents the results of the power quality test when Hanvit 350 is running at the KTX high speed line and the assessment.

  • In this study, we have analyzed the cost of korea high-speed rail project. The predicted cost in planning phase and adjustment data to 5th year are collected. Then, predicted cost is compared with adjustment in year/item/system base. We make a project history table for criteria to review project history and research & development activity. We have developed CBS(cost breakdown structure) and allocated adjustment data to them. It is shown that cost prediction related to research St development activity in planning phase is relatively correct.

  • In order to verify the performance of high-speed train and core equipments such as current collection system, sophisticated tests and evaluating procedures must be considered. In case of force sensor to test contact force of pantograph, it should customize the test instruments according to characteristics of pantograph. In this paper, the force sensor with a built-in strain-gauge which developed to improve measuring performance of contact force between the pantograph and catenary system is introduced. The test and evaluation results of force sensor's static and dynamic calibration with pantograph shows that its design is very suitable and applicable for on-line test. Henceforth, the force sensor will be applied to test interaction characteristics between the pantograph and catenary system on the high-speed line and expected by a part of measuring system for evaluating current collecting characteristics more reliably.

  • 신설한 기존선 전철화 노선에서 영업운행을 시작하기 전에 차량의 성능과 급전설비의 용량을 선로의 상태를 고려하여 평가하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 개통을 앞두고 있는 경부선 기존선 대전-동대구 구간을 대상으로 한국형 고속열차를 주행하고 속도단계를 올리며 차량 부하전류와 등가방해전류 시험을 수행하고 그 결과를 소개한다.
