A New Profilometry System for Precision Measurement of 3D Shape Using the Directional Magnification Control of a Laser Light Stripe (선모양을 한 레이저빔의 방향성 배율 확대를 이용한 정밀 형상측정 시스템)

  • This paper proposes a profilometry system for precise surface contouring of 3D objects using a direc- tionally magnified image of a laser light stripe. The resolution of this system can be improved several times comparad with that of conventional systems without loss of spatial resolution and depth of measurement. A pair of cylindrical lens(a convex lens and a concave lens) are used for a directionally magnified image of a laser light stripe maintaining the same focal plane. Also, image processing procedures for image reconstruc- tions are described.

  • Epoxy resin has wide application in various industrial fields because of their good mechanical strength, superiority adhesion and low shrinkage etc. And the typical curing method for epoxy resins is thermal and press compaction. However, a curing method was used electron beam process in this study. Epoxy acrylate was fabricated from mixture of epoxy, acrylic acid, tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP) and hydroquinone monomethyl ether (MEHQ) with mole ratios. Then electron beam irradiation effect on the curing of the epoxy acrylate resin was investigated various absorption dose in nitrogen atmospheres at room temperature. The dynamic mechanical and thermal properties of the irradiated epoxy acrylate resins were characterized using dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). And the tensile and flexural strength were measured by an universal tensile machine (UTM).

Study on Decomposition of Several Pesticides by Gamma-Irradiation (감마선 조사에 의한 농약 성분의 분해 연구)

  • The decomposition of 50 pesticides present in an aqueous solution using ${\gamma}-irradiation$ from a $^{60}Co$ gamma-ray source was investigated using laboratory-scale experiment. The rates of decomposition were determined using a gas chromatography-electron capture detector (GC-ECD), high-performance liquid chromatography-photo diode array detector (HPLC-PDA), and HPLC-fluorescence detector (FLD). When the initial concentration of pesticides was 10 ppm, and the radiation dose was 2, 5, 10, 20, and 30 kGy, respectively, 14 pesticide samples showed high removal rates (>50%) at absorbed doses of more than 10 kGy. With the exception of procymidone, they were all completely removed at a 30 kGy irradiation dose. These results provide fundamental data on the reactivity between gamma-irradiation and pesticides in an aqueous solution. Further, an evaluation of the toxicity of radiolytic intermediate products is required.

핵융합 차기장치의 선진국 동향

  • 1985년 4월 8일, 일본원자력연구소는 JT-60의 first plasma발생에 성공했다. 이 실험에 성공함으로써 과학적실증의 마지막 단계를 마지하게 되었고 동시에 공학적실증을 위한 차기장치의 설계를 추진해야될 시기가 되었음을 뜻한다. 이 전환점에서 과거 핵융합개발에 발자취를 뒤돌아보고 현재 계획이 진행되고 있는 차기장치의 최근 동향을 '85년3월 ANS주최의 제6회 핵융합에너지기술에 관한 toplcal meeting.을 중심으로 정리해 보았다.

남미 국가와의 원자력협력 방향 - 합동조사단의 원자력현황 리포트

  • 과학기술처는 금년 중 주요 업무 계획의 하나로, 원자력 협력 대상국을 다각화하고, 원자력 협력의 효율적$\cdot$체계적 추진과 원자력 기술의 교류 기반 강화 차원에서 유럽$\cdot$동구$\cdot$아시아$\cdot$북미$\cdot$남미 등 권역별로 원자력 국제 협력 추진을 계획, 기술 조사단의 파견을 추진하고 있다. 이 글은 지난 4월 26일부터 5월 6일까지 유관 부처 및 산업계가 공동 참여한 민관합동조사단이 아르헨티나$\cdot$브라질$\cdot$칠레 등 남미 3국의 정부$\cdot$연구소$\cdot$산업체 등을 방문하여 얻은 각국의 원자력 현황의 조사 결과로서, 향후 남미 국가와의 원자력 협력시 귀중한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • When the decommissioning of South Korea nuclear power plants is promoted in earnest with the permanent shutdown of Kori Unit 1 in 2017, a large amount of various types of radioactive waste will be generated. For minimal generation and safe management of decommissioning waste, the waste should be made by appropriate classification of the dismantling waste characteristics in accordance with physical, chemical and radiological characteristics to meet the acceptance criteria of disposal facilities. Replacing the preliminary inspection at the site for the compliance of the waste acceptance criteria (WAC) of medium and low-level radioactive waste with the generator's own radioactive waste certification program (WCP), from the perspective of disposal, the optimization of waste management at the national level contributes to the efficient availability of disposal, such as the processing of non-conforming radioactive wastes at the site. To this end, it is important to evaluate radioactivity in each system and area such as nuclear reactors before decommissioning is carried out in earnest, and the prior removal of harmful wastes is important. From waste collection to waste disposal, decommissioning waste should be managed at each stage in consideration of the acceptance criteria of disposal facilities to minimize the generation of non-conforming waste.

  • 현재 한국원자력연구소에서는 고준위폐기물 처분시스템의 다양한 현장 실증연구를 위해 원자력연구소내 지하처분연구시설(KAERI Underground Research Tunnel, KURT)가 건설되었다. 터널 크기 $6m{\times}6m$, 총길이 255m(진입터널 180m, 연구모듈 75m) 인 KURT는 결정질 화강암반에 위치하고 있다. KURT 에서는 개념설계, 부지조사, 시설설계, 건설 과정에서 다양한 암석 역학 관련 연구들이 수행되었다. 물리탐사, 시추공조사, 암석물성시험, 현장 물성 시험 등을 통해 KURT 의 구조적 안정성 평가에 필요한 암석 및 암반의 물성이 얻어졌으며 이들 물성은 해석 모델의 입력자료로 활용되었다. 본 연구에서는 KURT 에서 수행되었던 암석역학 관련 시험과 주요들을 소개하고 시험을 통해 얻어진 주요 결과와 이를 활용한 3차원 구조해석에 대해 논의하고자 한다.

  • Polyimide films have excellent thermal stability, reliable mechanical properties and low dielectric constant. Therefore, this material is widely used in many industrial fields such as microelectronics, flexible circuits, semiconductor products and aerospace materials. In space applications, earth-orbiting hardware operates in environments that generally include neutral particles, charged particles such as trapped protons and electrons, solar protons, and cosmic rays. Under these conditions, polyimide films were changed in the optical, electrical and mechanical properties. Therefore, in this study, we evaluated the effects of electron beam irradiation on polyimide. The O-H functional groups were created on the polyimide film surface in the results of FT-IR spectra. And it was found that the dielectric constants were changed as a function of electron beam dose.

Influence of Quaternary Ammonium Anion Exchange Moieties onto Mechanical Properties of Radiation-grafting Anion Exchange Membranes (방사선그라프팅 음이온교환막의 기계적 물성에 대한 4차 암모늄 음이온교환기의 영향)

  • Various anion exchange membranes were prepared by radiation graft copolymerization of vinylbenzyl chloride onto fluorinated films and subsequent quaternization with various tertiary amines such as trimethylamine, N,N-dimethylbuthylamine, N,N-dimethylaniline, and N-methylpiperidine. The quaternizations of the anion exchange membranes were confirmed by measuring of the ion exchange capacities of the membranes. The mechanical properties and the water uptakes were also measured. The elongation at break was found to be largely dependent on the fluorinated film, the quateranry ammonium, and the degree of grafting. The results indicate that the poly (ethylene-alt-tetrafluoroethylene) with quaternized trimethylamine moiety exhibits higher flexible property compared to the other prepared anion exchange membranes.
