Polydextrose and sugar alcohols: their properties and uses in foods (폴리덱스트로스와 당알코올: 그 특성과 식품에의 이용)

  • Carbohydrates play an important role in not only providing the body with calories but also giving taste and texture in foods. Recently, there is a growing interest in low-calorie carbohydrate materials due to obesity and the resulting diseases caused by excessive intake of calories. Polydextrose and sugar alcohols have calories of 2.0 kcal/g and 2.4 kcal/g, respectively. In addition to being a low-calorie material, polydextrose can be widely used as a dietary fiber source, thereby reducing calories and supplementing fiber. Sugar alcohols have sweetness comparable to a table sugar but they are not calculated as a sugar, so it can meet the government's sugar reduction policy. Also, polydextrose and sugar alcohols are not easily decomposed by heat and acid, and thus can be used without being affected by food manufacturing processes.

  • Thermoplastic composite is introduced to design an automotive door impact beam, and the manufacturing process is demonstrated. The safety regulation for vehicles has been steadily tightened, and weight-reduction has become a mandatory factor in the automotive industry. Hence, both high-performance and lightweight are demanded for automotive components. The aim of the present study is to develop an automotive door impact beam using fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites to reduce the weight of the impact beam while increasing its mechanical performance. A new production method which combines continuous fiber-reinforced composite and LFT(Long Fiber-reinforced Thermoplastic) is implemented by using insert injection molding process. The mechanical performance of the composite impact beam was evaluated using 3-point bending tests. Thermoplastic composite will expand its application range to various automotive components due to its light-weight design capability and high productivity.

Detecting Similar Designs Using Deep Learning-based Image Feature Extracting Model (딥러닝 기반 이미지 특징 추출 모델을 이용한 유사 디자인 검출에 대한 연구)

  • Design is a key factor that determines the competitiveness of products in the textile and fashion industry. It is very important to measure the similarity of the proposed design in order to prevent unauthorized copying and to confirm the originality. In this study, a deep learning technique was used to quantify features from images of textile designs, and similarity was measured using Spearman correlation coefficients. To verify that similar samples were actually detected, 300 images were randomly rotated and color changed. The results of Top-3 and Top-5 in the order of similarity value were measured to see if samples that rotated or changed color were detected. As a result, the VGG-16 model recorded significantly higher performance than did AlexNet. The performance of the VGG-16 model was the highest at 64% and 73.67% in the Top-3 and Top-5, where similarity results were high in the case of the rotated image. appear. In the case of color change, the highest in Top-3 and Top-5 at 86.33% and 90%, respectively.

  • Drape is one of the factors that determine the shape of clothes and is one of the very important factors in the textile and fashion industry. At a time when non-face-to-face transactions are being activated due to the impact of the coronavirus, more and more companies are asking for drape value. However, in the case of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), it is difficult to measure the drape, because they feel the burden of time and money for measuring the drape. Therefore, this study aimed to generate a drape image for the material property value input using a conditional adversarial neural network through 3D simulation images generated by measuring digital properties. A drape image was created through the existing 736 digital property values, and this was used for model training. Then, the drape value was calculated for the image samples obtained through the generative model. As a result of comparing the actual drape experimental value and the generated drape value, it was confirmed that the error of the peak number was 0.75, and the average error of the drape value was 7.875

A Study on the Defect Detection of Fabrics using Deep Learning (딥러닝을 이용한 직물의 결함 검출에 관한 연구)

  • Identifying defects in textiles is a key procedure for quality control. This study attempted to create a model that detects defects by analyzing the images of the fabrics. The models used in the study were deep learning-based VGGNet and ResNet, and the defect detection performance of the two models was compared and evaluated. The accuracy of the VGGNet and the ResNet model was 0.859 and 0.893, respectively, which showed the higher accuracy of the ResNet. In addition, the region of attention of the model was derived by using the Grad-CAM algorithm, an eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) technique, to find out the location of the region that the deep learning model recognized as a defect in the fabric image. As a result, it was confirmed that the region recognized by the deep learning model as a defect in the fabric was actually defective even with the naked eyes. The results of this study are expected to reduce the time and cost incurred in the fabric production process by utilizing deep learning-based artificial intelligence in the defect detection of the textile industry.

On the Development of Hybrid Composites with Non-Woven Tissue (부직포를 이용한 하이브리드 복합재료의 개발)

  • The hybrid composite materials with non-woven tissue (NWT) was developed to improve the mechanical properties of conventional FRP composite materials. The hybrid prepreg with NWT consists of FRP prepreg and NWT prepreg. The NWT prepreg consists of NWT and polymer resin. The NWT has short fibers, discretely distributed with in-plane random orientation fibers. The purposes of this study of hybrid prepreg with NWT are (i) to increase the interlaminar properties(the fracture toughness and strength), (ii) to improve the mechanical properties and reliability, while maintaining a low cost, (iii) to introduce a tough and strong interlayer at critical positions to be required of strength in the laminate. To accomplish the above purposes, a production technique to decrease voids in NWT layers was proposed in this paper. The interlaminar failure characteristics of laminated composite materials was tremendously improved by hybrid concept with NWT.

Dietary fiber content and physicochemical properties of starch isolated from potato cultivars (감자 품종에 따른 식이섬유 및 전분의 이화학적 특성)

  • This study examined the dietary fiber content of potato and physicochemical characteristics of potato starch isolated from various cultivars. The total dietary fiber content of the Arirang1ho cultivar was 6.30%, which was higher than that of other cultivars. The amylose content ranged from 36.76-55.75%, with Sooseon having the highest amylose content. Analysis of the degree of amylopectin polymerization revealed that all cultivars had a high proportion of DP (degree of polymerization) 13-24. The phosphate content ranged from 45.90-84.23 mg/100 g, with Arirang1ho having the highest and Eunseon having the lowest phosphate content. The resistant starch content ranged from 58.94-79.87%. Geumseon showed the highest breakdown in the range of 587.45-1,129.72 RVU (rapid viscosity unit). Sooseon had the lowest gelatinization enthalpy value for potato starch in the range of 5.54-7.64 J/g. These results provide basic data for the use of potatoes in industrial applications.

Korea and Japan Comparison Study of Distribution Industry: Focus on Input-out Analysis (유통산업의 한일비교 연구 - 산업연관분석을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper focuses on the retail industry of industrial share of the GDP, productivity of distribution industry and input-out analysis between Korea and Japan, also results are summarized as follows. First, the share of GDP in agriculture, forestry and fisheries of the both countries is falling. That of manufacture increases in South Korea, while Japan is falling. While distribution industry shows vice versa. Employed population by industry is falling both countries also. The relative labor productivity shows that agriculture, forestry and fisheries, retail industry needs more labor, while manufacture has been met for both countries. Second, compare to Japan, the retail industry of Korea has been increased since 1990. Likewise, overall productivity of distribution industry in Korea has been increased while almost that of Japan has declined. Third, production inducement effects of Japan are greater than that of Korea. On the other hand, import inducement effects show vice versa. Fourth, as shown from the final demand of distribution industry and the rate of dependence on production inducement, we can see that the “increase in stocks” increases while gross government fixed capital formation shows vice versa. Korea's private consumption expenditure increases while Japan shows versa. South Korea's government consumption expenditure and exports are rising, on the other hand, that of Japan is declining. Fifth, the rate of dependence on distribution industry and import inducement shows the same tendency from both countries. As we can see from the private consumption expenditure, government consumption expenditure, gross government fixed capital formation, gross private fixed capital formation, increase in stocks, the rate of dependence on import inducement is more effective than the rate of dependence on production inducement. While the exports are comparatively ineffective. Sixth, the degrees of influence of retail industry are similar between Korea and Japan, while sensitivity of the Korean industry has been weakened. In this sense, strong policies are needed to boost the industry. Seventh, the investments in the retail industry of Korea showed the public-led trend, while Japan showed private sector-led investment trend. The investment trend of Korea's retail industry will be switched into private sector-led investment step by step in the future. This finding will be an important clue to set the policy direction of Korea distribution industry. Finally, both Korea and Japan are still in need of employment in retail industry. Not addressed in this paper, such as value-added-induced effects, employment inducement effect, will be remaining challenges in the following paper.

The New Urbanization Process and Urban Policy of Daegu in the 1990s (1990년대 대구의 신도시화 과정과 도시정책)

  • This paper is to consider the new urbanization process of Daegu in the 1990s, especially with its economy, politics, social culture, environment and space. In the economic aspect, the industrial structure of Daegu has shifted from the manufacturing- centered economy to the service economy. But it has not yet overcome the linear frame of industrial structure still relying on the textile industry, though the degree of industrial specialization has increased in the part of the fabricated metal products and the precision and optical instrument. In the political situation that the implementation of the local self-government has made the relation between localities more competitive, the local government of Daegu has led a boom for boosting the regional economic growth, organizing private-public-research relations to improve the weakening regional investment and production function. In the social and cultural aspect of the new urbanization, the investment into the soft-ware facilities has been increased, and the urban festivals have been changed so as to revitalize the regional economy. In the environmental aspect, as the self-government system has launched, conflicts around values and interests of local governments have revealed frequently due to locations of infra-structures and of abhorrence facilities. Finally, seen from the spatial dimension of the city, the extension of residential areas and unregulated use of urban space have a result of inefficience of land-use, and this kind of unplanned outer expansion of the city has brought about with further separation of house and working place, and increasing distance of movements and the an urban spatial structure which requires more energy consumption.

  • 원료의 저급화와 공정의 폐쇄화가 급속히 진행되고 있는 현재의 국내 제지산업 현황을 고려할 때 고품질의 제품을 저렴하게 생산하기 위해서는 화학첨가제의 효과적 활용기술 확립과 이를 통한 초지공정 wet end의 성공적 제어기술이 요청된다. 특히 환경보전과 환 경관련 규제에 부응하기 위하여 초지공정의 무방류화가 점차 가속화되고 있는 현 시점에 서 wet end의 효율적 관리를 위해서는 그 동안 개방형 wet end에서 적용되던 개념의 공 정관리의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 기술 개발이 필요하다. 공정의 폐쇄화에 따른 습부화학적 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 백수의 재활용에 따른 지료 화학적 특성을 평가하고 고분자전해질의 거동을 분석해야 한다. 보류향상제 혹은 탈수촉 진제로서 첨가된 고분자전해질은 그 기능을 수행하기 위해서는 섬유에 흡착이 이루어져 야 하므로 백수로 제조된 지료 내에서 고분자전해질의 흡착 특성을 파악하는 것은 습부에 서 일어나는 현상들에 대한 이해 및 효율적인 공정제어를 위한 첫 단계라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실험실적으로 제조된 백수를 이용하여 조성된 지료 내에서 양이온성 구 아 검의 흡착현상을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 폐쇄화의 기준으로 폐쇄화 정도(Level of C Closure ; LC)에 따라 실험을 수행하였다. 여기에서 LC란 총 사용된 물의 양에 대한 지료조성 시 사용되는 백수의 양을 백분율로 나타낸 것이다. 양이온성 구아 검의 흡착을 평가하기 위해 PhenoVsulfuric acid spectrophotometric method를 이용하여 펄프 슬 러리 상등액에 존재하는 미흡착된 양이온성 구아 검의 함량을 측정하였고. 양이온성 구아 검 이 섬유상에 흡착하였을 때 나타나는 섬유의 S-potential 변화와 펄프 상등액의 양이 온 요구량 변화를 평가하였으며 이들의 상관관계를 분석하였다.축력으로 변형시키는데 비해 도침은 단순히 압축 압력만을 종이에 가하는 것이 다르다고 볼 수 있는데, 라 이너지와 백상지가 같은 조건하에서 왜 이러한 큰 차이를 보이는 이유를 아직 알수 없다.해 동일한 공정 데이터들올 이용하여 보편적으로 사용하는 통계기법 중의 하나인 주성분회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주성분 분석은 여러 개의 반응변수에 대하여 얻어진 다변량 자료의 다차원적인 변 수들을 축소, 요약하는 차원의 단순화와 더불어 서로 상관되어있는 반응변수들 상호간 의 복잡한 구조를 분석하는 기법이다. 본 발표에서는 공정 자료를 활용하여 인공신경망 과 주성분분석을 통해 공정 트러블의 발생에 영향 하는 인자들을 보다 현실적으로 추 정하고, 그 대책을 모색함으로써 이를 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 소개하고자 한다.금 빛 용사 둥과 같은 표면처리를 할 경우임의 소재 표면에 도금 및 용 사에 용이한 재료를 오버레이용접시킨 후 표면처리를 함으로써 보다 고품질의 표면층을 얻기위한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 국내, 외의 오버레이 용접기술의 적용현황 및 대표적인 적용사례, 오버레이 용접기술 및 용접재료의 개발현황 둥을 중심으로 살펴봄으로서 아직 국내에서는 널리 알려지지 않은 본 기 술의 활용을 넓이고자 한다. within minimum time from beginning of the shutdown.및 12.36%, $101{\sim}200$일의 경우 12.78% 및 12.44%, 201일 이상의 경우 13.17% 및 11.30%로 201일 이상의 유기의 경우에만 대조구와 삭제 구간에 유의적인(p<0.05) 차이를 나타내었다.는 담수(淡水)에서 10%o의 해수(海水)로 이주된지 14일(日) 이후에 신장(腎臟)에서 수축된 것으로 나타났다. 30%o의 해수(海水)에 적응(適應)된 틸라피아의 평균 신사구체(腎絲球體)의 면적은 담수
